I asked Peter to please dispatch a repair person, to look at and (hopefully fix) the mechanism in my stove's oven ... which had suddenly stopped working -- on New Year's Day (Jan. 1, just a few days ago). About 2 hours later, Mike from Tiso called me when he was on his way, and he gave me his ETA. He arrived in less than his stated ETA -- and of course (smile) he was wearing a face mask -- just as I was. Within about 8-10 minutes, he had fixed, and tested the oven ... after carefully explaining to me what had been wrong. I paid by check, and he gave me a receipt. One, two, three!! All done! :). As I have before, I HIGHLY recommend Tiso Appliance store -- whether you live in Pelham (as I do) or not.

I called Allison who sold me the refrigerator and she never got back to me. So I then contacted the owner Nick who first seemed like he was eager to resolve the problem. He said he would send his painter to fix my walls and after having to chase him down, he finally had the painter come. I could have done a better job fixing it than this guy. Just slapped some paint on without sanding or anything. It looked awful. So then Nick said he wanted to come take a look at it He said he was coming and never showed or called. When I contacted him a few days later he proceeded to literally yell at me and treat me so disrespectfully. Totally unacceptable for a store owner to speak this way. I would cross Prisco off your list if you were thinking about going there. If you search the reviews, which I unfortunately did not, you will find that many people had the same negative experience !

All of my questions were expertly answered, and each step in diagnosis was perspicuously detailed. Informed by years of experience, Ijjumaa's chain of deduction and reasoning flows effortlessly. By the time he reached his conclusion, I felt no surprise and had a pretty good idea of the range of costs i faced. After clarifying my choices, he explained avenues for resolution and their practical (part options, time and logistics) and financial ramifications. He suspected that the $150 part (plus labor) was malfunctioning temporarily, having been frozen. Where Dockery's might have charged me for a part that was not working before removing it, they chose to invest in my trust by reinstalling the part and recommending a procedure to follow after he had left and the fridge had completed it's defrost cycle.

He apologized and said he would fix it. I have called him several times in the last two months and he said he would fix it every time. He hasn't responded since. The fact that he damaged the walls without saying anything and his subsequent lies about fixing the problem show a lack of integrity. On the fair side, he came and fixed our refrigerator quickly and it has been working ever since. Which makes it all the more disappointing that he chose not to say anything about the damage, then lied about coming to fix it.

(Pillow ripped - stuffing got stuck all over machine) This happened to me 8 years ago when someone put a string mop in my washer. The technician that came out then said my machine couldn't be fixed and I had to get a new one. I wasn't thrilled. Naturally, I expected similar response this time. But nope. Advanced Appliance lies about having scheduled technicians, lies about having ordered parts but receiving them "broken" ( in fact, appliance maker Frigidaire confirming that they never even ordered any) and has the rudest customer interactions from a call center in India . You'll never interact with an actual person at the company and instead will experience 2-3 weeks of misleading /untruthful texts and emails . This is a bogus and scam company who most likely after the initial visit (made by a very disinterested technician , bills the manufacturer and pretends that its job was fulfilled. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I rarely write reviews but the last three weeks have been a terrible nightmare because of them. Map their address and you'll see that nothing is there. Trust me.

I have a freezer that was bought from Sears with a warranty 6 years ago. This Eastside company was…read morethe company contracted to fix it. The motor died and I called Sears to have the freezer taken a look at. The guy came a few days later and tested the motor and determined that its dead. So he called Sears and told them the problem and they would ship out a new part, but the part would come to me instead of the mechanic. After about a week and a half the part came and we called Eastside. They said they be there in 2 days in a certain time frame, but when 6pm came, he called and said he wouldn't be able to make it out, so we had to wait thru another weekend without a freezer. Finally on a Monday, we were first on his list, but he had another person with him. My mother was present, but she didn't observe their work. They only took a little more than a half hour to "fix" the problem. Now the freezer wasn't getting cold as it should've been. Not even one week and the freezer stopped working. I immediately called Sears and told them the freezer broke down again. They sent another person to check it out and saw that the new motor was never installed!!! They essentially stole it and charged Sears! A wire was also cut and covered with black tape. I couldn't believe I was ripped off by these crooks who call themselves repairmen! In the future you should watch every repair person fixing or installing anything to make sure they're not doing something underhanded. Do not use Eastside Services!!!
