As politely as I can say this.....never, EVER again!!!! Last 6 months have been so difficult…read more Insurance issues. They never bothered to submit to insurance (never told me) and when I was due to pick up glasses they told me I could get the frames now and the lenses in a year! Of what benefit is that? It took an entire day for ME, without their help, never disclosing they failed to submit to insurance and were deceptive about ordering glasses three weeks prior, to straighten this entire mess out. An unbelievable nightmare. They finally submitted to insurance and immediate coverage of course but I had to wait an additional three weeks for glasses to come in for a total of six weeks unable to see. They never offered to expedite. Then the glasses come in and I can not see a thing through them. I was told to keep wearing and get used to them. Could NOT see. Had horrible headaches from straining to see. Then the final visit for a lens prescription change when the frustrated doctor changed the exam lenses so fast that vertigo was brought on snapping at me "which one you see better" and my ability to answer because I could not either. I just guessed to stop him from snapping at me. Finally I could not take it anymore, gave up, left in tears NEVER to return EVER again! They were good upon initial opening. Now it is incredibly difficult and I truly do not want to leave this bad review but hopefully the Dr and the VERY, VERY rude staff will understand there is very real problem that needs to be addressed. Customer service is horrendous. Horrendous! Now I know why. If the doctor is snappy of course the staff would be the same and incredibly incompetent as well. I hope they can fix their issues, I truly do. As long as nobody messes up they are adequate however if there is an issue you are in for one heck of a long, impossible nightmare.

My husband and I have always been pretty picky when it comes to optometrists, and given that you…read moreonly need to go once a year, it's been hard to find someone we truly liked... until Dr. Hochberg. He's super knowledgable and attentive. He's also one of the first optometrists that is sensitive enough not to make me feel bad about my vision but suggests ways to protect my eyes. For example, he suggested that my husband gets glasses that filter out blue wavelengths (since these tend to be the ones that are most harmful to vision). The last time we went, we were rather rushed because the only available time slot was the morning when my father was due to arrive at Bradley Airport. Never before had I felt so much like a demanding customer, constantly rushing to see if we could either wrap up early, or prepay so we wouldn't have to pay after the checkup. I felt badly, but also didn't want to keep my father waiting at the airport! Dr. Hochberg and his staff were as considerate and patient as can be. He didn't cut any corners despite my attitude and ensured we got a full checkup before departing.

Easy to set an appointment if you do it on your phone. Great…read moredoctor, explains what's going on all the way through the exam, so you're not left wondering. They accepted my insurance no problem and help me get glasses, with no troubles.

No exaggeration, finding Dr Sheen and this vision center was one of the best things to happen to me…read morein 2018. It wasn't until my insurance changed and I was forced out of my comfort zone to find a place that was covered, that I researched and ended up choosing Eye Life Vision. Staff at front desk are friendly and helpful. The intake forms are tricky and need some revisiting (the idea of wipe off markers on laminated forms is good in theory but when the makers start to wear this just turns into a mess). But we're here for glasses and contacts, and this is what I'm reviewing. Dr. Sheen answered all my questions, spent significant time checking my eyes, catching an issue that had previously been overlooked by my last Optometrist, was thorough, answered all my questions and was very personable. I was worried I wouldn't find frames that would fit my head correctly but we did (and they rock!). Dr and front desk staff helped me with rebates for my contacts as well. It added up to $$ but given I chose the most expensive frames available I can't complain. The lenses for my glasses were made by a lab that makes Nikon camera lenses (I believe this is what she said) and are extremely high quality. I have NEVER seen so clearly and well with glasses. I literally almost cried when I put them on. Completely blown away, I still can't believe how well I can see. I don't think you can put a price on clear vision especially when you have astigmatism and significant light sensitivity. Thank you!!!!

Dr, Sheen is so easy to talk to and so knowledgeable so I have always felt in the best of hands to protect my eyesight as I grow older. Appointments are easy to make . One New Year's Eve I had a problem with something in my eye. They took me at 4pm and kindly assured me that I was not holding them up although I'm sure I did! I have been with this practice for many years and am grateful to have found them.

The plus side: The office is very friendly especially the woman at the front desk. They had a great selection of frames including Coach, Versace, Calvin Klein, Ed Hardy and a few other designers. Prices were a lot better than your Lens Crafters or Pearle Vision stores. My appointment was at 3 and they took me at 3:02 so there wasn't a huge wait. Dr. Conrod was extremely personable and polite and explained my many options for eye care. The negative: The tech or whomever that I first saw was really rude and possessed the listening skills of a toddler. If I have to explain to you multiple times in a five minute conversation that I mainly wear glasses and rarely wear contacts and I want to wear contacts daily and use my glasses as a back up, you really are not listening to me at all. It's frustrating to be a new patient with a new provider and have the staff treat you like you're stupid and you wouldn't possibly understand your own eye care or eye health. In a similar vein, the woman at the front desk gave me the fifth degree over my insurance plan, corrected what I said and then ended up being wrong. However she, unlike the tech or whatever, apologized and corrected her mistake. Honestly? LISTEN TO YOUR PATIENTS! If it wasn't for the doctor himself, I would have gone elsewhere. I'm hoping that when I go back to for my contact lens follow up, I have a better experience.
