Great coffee, their matcha is marketed as ceremonial grade but tends to be a bit bitter and dull green. Delicious pastries the almond pistachio is my go to. Lots of cozy seating suitable for a catch up with friends or to study. Can be busy at times. Overall 8/10

This is a nice place. Plenty if comfortable seats. Lots of room to work or study in the back, or just have coffee and chat. It has nice big windows. Its a short distance from the Shipyards. They have the usual 49th Parallel good stuff, coffee, donuts, and muffins, etc. My only complaint is it closes early, 6:00pm. Its in a touristy area, wish it closed later. I drive from South Van to hangout at Lower Lonsdale so would be nice if hours are longer. Otherwise have not complaints. They even have outside seats and tables. I like this place!

49th Parallel in Lower Lonsdale is the perfect place for a warm drink and donut. The cappuccino I got was excellent and the Boston Cream donut was gigantic. This location has plenty of seats, both inside and outside. The wifi connection is strong, so it's an excellent place to pull out a laptop and get some work done

Hot Chocolate Fest 2023 Stop #1 @49thparallel @luckysdough For the first 2 weeks (Jan 14-28) of the festival they are featuring the Florals & Spice Hot Chocolate. It is a dark hot chocolate infused w/ cardamon and organic rose petals. The hot chocolate is served with a brioche mini doughnut filled w/ spiced chocolate custard, topped with orange blossom glaze, pistachios, and rose petals Verdict: I liked the hot chocolate but I wish it had more milk in it. Our cups weren't filled to the brim. The filling of the mini doughnut was delicious too.

We came to 49th Parallel Coffee on Lonsdale Ave. in North Vancouver to try some hot chocolate during the Greater Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival. I got the Hip Hip Hooray hot chocolate for our daughter, which was:  "A Birthday cake-inspired hot chocolate made with white chocolate and sprinkles.Served with a Funfetti doughnut, filled with vanilla custard, topped with vanilla buttercream, sprinkles and "cake bark"." For myself I just ordered a plain hot chocolate from the regular menu, along with a Spicy Hot Chocolate Old Fashioned doughnut. Por Por (Grandma) was with us too, so she had a cup of tea and and Apple Cranberry Fritter. In all honesty, neither our daughter nor myself thought too much of the Hip Hip Hooray hot chocolate or the Funfetti doughnut that came with it. My hot chocolate from the regular menu was better. The Spicy Hot Chocolate doughnut and Apple Cranberry Fritter were both fantastic! I especially loved the Spicy Hot Chocolate doughnut. The inside of the doughnut was moist; the exterior had a nice crunch to it.  Service: Good Parking: Free parking on Lonsdale Ave. Location: On Lonsdale Ave. @ W. 1st St.

Pleasantly surprised to find gluten friendly donuts that taste amazing and don't hurt my stomach! The maple nut donut was by far my favourite. I noticed they used to have a chocolate sprinkle donut but no longer carry it. Either way, great job and I hope they bring out more flavours!

This may be the best 49th Parallel yet! I get my morning coffee fix here before a long day at work. All the donuts are decent and freshly made in the morning. The lemon merengue donut is to die for! Why not 5 stars? Just not a fan of their style of coffee roast - not into those acidic notes. Still, a shot of cane sugar syrup can smooth anything out. Secret deal - any size coffee and donut special for $6 (as of June 2022).

49th Parallel Coffee Roasters, has great coffee but also #superyummy donuts via - Lucky's Doughnuts. LDs is a side project aka sub brand of 49th PCRs. I've had & tried many of LDs flavours of donuts over the years. My favourite go to is still the Sourdough Donut. Love the taste of Sourdough & glaze on this absolutely delicious donut! #getinmybellynow! If this is not your style of donut worry not - you've got an excellent variety of options available to you to choose from! See my pix! I posted pix awhile ago during the Aloha donut celebration that 49th PCRs hosted. Now those celebration donuts totally wrecked my 6 pack stomach & I failed to take off my shirt that summer! The North Shore (North Vancouver) has seen a spurt in growth via new buildings, restaurants & just a hive of summer activities! See my Shipyards Night Market review for more info & pix! This new location is a hop skip & jump uphill (gentle) just up Lonsdale Ave & only 7mins from the Seabus terminal at Lonsdale Quay. Great location & surrounded by shops & other restaurants on the high street - Lonsdale Avenue. So when you're next over here on the North Shore, do stop by for great coffee & donuts - make yourself happy!

Great coffee and great staff at this site in North Vancouver on Londsdale Avenue. The donuts are good too- lots to choose from. They have indoor as well as tables outside to enjoy coffee and people watching. Only drawback is that it's street parking which can be hard to find.

Love this coffee shop and neighborhood, great vibe. The donuts are definitely a cut above while the Indonesian coffee in the Tiffany Blue packaging had an odd, but appealing, flavor.

Stopped in here with the kiddos and grandparents for a quick Sunday treat. Boy was it busy - and for good reason! They did not have any of the gluten-free/vegan doughnuts when we showed up, but the rest of my party very much enjoyed their doughnuts. My oat mylk Vietnamese latte was delicious! I appreciate having the dairy-free option. There is a fair amount of seating, but I would recommend trying a weekday if you don't want to be fighting the crowd. Order total for 3 adults and 2 kids (5 doughnuts, 5 drinks) was around $46.

I love their coffee, love the place, and love the staff. Not too many people, and the place is really clean and inviting. The cost is comparable to Delany's. Try this place in North Vancouver, guys.

Delicious chai latte - not too sweet. So many Donut choices it was hard to decide. Went with the berry berliner and it was scrumptious.

First and last visit today. Sour-tasting coffee, plus they refuse to accept cash no matter how small the amount.

It is a small space, but full of personality and charm. We ordered a Matcha Latte ($7), Japanese Latte ($7), and Matcha & Black Sesame Moffin ($1.50/each). I personally enjoy my matcha unsweetened so I loved that this one was served without sweeteners, and the matcha is lighter bodied with earthy flavours. The Japanese latte is made with coffee beans from Japan, and I'm not a coffee drinker usually so I can't comment much other than the fact it tasted mellow but had depth. The mochi muffins were not too sweet and deliciously chewy! I'd love to come back to try their hojicha latte!
