Had to try these super tasty and viral pizza cupcakes! I've already been back twice! This place is located in a little plaza in Newton and there's a good handful of free parking right in front. The place is on the smaller end, but there are a few tables for dine-in. This place definitely is more of a take-out location and I would suggest ordering what you want online. Each pizza cupcake is $3.99 (which actually is a very reasonable price) and was very filling with a decent amount of toppings in my opinion. They seem small, but they are packed with flavor. The dough for the cupcake can be on the drier end sometimes if your pizza cupcake doesn't come with any sauce. There are so many flavors to try out. So far, I've tried the Spicy BBQ chicken, Truffle mushroom, Nashville Hot Chicken, and Chicken Ranch. I have to say my favorite out of those 4 is the Nashville Hot Chicken or the Spicy BBQ Chicken -- the sweet pineapple as a topping for the Spicy BBQ Chicken pairs so well with the savory of the BBQ sauce and the tender chicken. My friend had been previously, and said they were pretty good, and she normally is harsher than me in food critiques, so I thought it was worth a try. However three of the tables get hit by the wind when the door is open. I ordered the shrimp Mac & cheese cupcake, Iraklion cupcake, and Cookies& cream cupcake. I also split an order of curly fries with my friend. The curly fries were ready first and were the best part of the meal. Good portion, good seasoning, and good price. The shrimp Mac & cheese cupcake had one shrimp. The Mac and cheese was incredibly greasy/oily, as were all of the savory cupcakes my friend and I ordered. It was better than the Iraklion, which I had to use a napkin to soak up the grease before eating. The restaurant recently redid the dessert cupcakes, which my friend was excited about. We got a regular pizza, not a small, not a medium, but an XL. It was pretty small. We ordered onion, green pepper, and black olive. They gave us red and green pepper, and Kalamata olives. One thing I would say is that the dough for the cupcakes could be a bit less dry. Other than that, super solid. My newest obsession is the spicy BBQ chicken. I got truffle mushroom, shrimp mac & cheese, chicken & waffles, cookies & cream, strawberry cheesecake & smores. I also tried out their garlic parmesan fries, which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The pizza cupcakes came out on wooden display boards which were great for presentation. I loved the idea of these pizza cupcakes being a personalized deep-dish pizza. That being said the savory cupcakes were definitely a hit with my favorite being the truffle mushroom. The service was impeccable and part of why I gave them 3 stars. The dessert cupcakes would be amazing if the cupcake base was a sweet dough, with cinnamon for the cheesecake and the s'more. The crust was the biggest complaint but it is understandable that it needs to be firmer to hold the fillings without collapsing. I will order again, probably for a party. Ordered from here, through Uber Eats, for the first time- takeaway order, for pick up, of a deep dish pizza with pepperoni and spicy sausage and a Greek salad. Total was around $36. What's Hot - Good deep dish pizza. Hubby and I have yet to come across a pizza joint, in the area, that has deep dish pizza. Additionally, their deep dish pizza is actually pretty good. The crust holds up well- both literally in terms of the structure and with the heat of the pizza. The pizza held up well during our drive home, as well. We didn't need to reheat the pizza. Hubby enjoyed their tomato sauce. We also loved how they didn't skimp on the toppings. It was a very good amount of cheese and the additional toppings we ordered. Their crust wasn't seasoned and savory, which was kind of disappointing, though. Hubby and I have both had better quality deep dish pizzas, but this was pretty decent. - Speed/service. Aside from not communicating with Uber Eats, which I mention below, the speed of their service appear to be pretty good. Between putting in the order on Uber Eats and picking up our food, hubby and I didn't wait extremely long for our food (probably 40 minutes), which was helpful. - Menu. Their menu appears decent. Aside from pizzas, they have a good amount of appetizers (like curly fries, mozzarella sticks), chicken wings, etc... Short menu, but a decent selection, which is helpful. What's Not - Did not communicate well with Uber Eats. When we arrived, the estimated pick-up time kept being pushed back for several minutes. However, there were no customers inside, so we were uncertain why the wait time kept being pushed back. As a result, hubby suggested I just go intside and ask about our order. When I went in and asked, the front desk staff pointed to their takeaway pantry, a couple feet from the counter. My order was sitting inside the pantry, with my name on it. Good thing I didn't wait at home for the app to give me an update, because it didn't look like their staff updated Uber Eats. On the one hand, it's not the worse thing in the world. On the other hand, it can make waiting confusing for takeaway orders, which will also mean cold or bad food. - Upset stomach. The Greek salad and the takeaway salad dressing container, were sitting on top of the hot takeaway pizza box when we picked it up. By the time we arrived home with our food, the bottom of the salad box was warm and soft. We think the heat, from the pizza, effected the salad (which had feta cheese) and the salad dressing. I was the only one, who ate the salad. After hubby and I finished our food, I had an upset stomach. I'll spare you the details, haha.... but I had to make two trips to the bathroom. The food did not sit well with me and I'm pretty sure all the contents left my body, haha... Point is that something was wrong with the salad and/or the salad dressing. Either sanitary conditions of the salad were not good or putting the salad on top of a hot pizza box made the salad and/or salad dressing go slightly bad. Whatever happened definitely did not make me feel good. - Price. Their only deep dish pizza option is cheese. If you want any additional toppings, you have to add them to your order individually. The part that sucks about that option is that every topping costs an additional $4! That's an arm and a leg for one topping. Because hubby and I ordered 2 additional toppings, it was an additional $8. To be fair, they do have a decent selection of toppings (artichoke hearts, caramelized onions, buffalo chicken, grilled chicken, pepperoni, spicy sausage, etc...). However, does it need to be so expensive? Is it possible to have other pre-made deep dish pizza options or something? - Salads. I would not recommend ordering their salads. For $10, the Greek salad used iceberg lettuce, feta cheese, had 4 cherry tomatoes, a few kalamata olives, a few slices of cucumber, a few slices of red onion, and a couple of tablespoons of shredded carrots. I prefer dark leafy greens, rather than iceberg lettuce, especially because dark leafy greens have more nutritional value. I don't blame the restaurant for that. But the Greek salad barely had any toppings. Not good value for money. Final Answer Would be willing to order the deep dish pizza again, but definitely not the salad. The main reason why they're receiving a decent rating is because they appear to be the only decent deep dish pizza joint in town. read more

Truly blown away by the quality and flavors of this pizza shop. We ordered a large deep dish pizza and a small "regular" crust pizza, as well as one of the savory pizza cupcakes. The deep dish is one of the best I've ever had- the sauce was so flavorful and so different than other pizza shops' sauce. It was distinct and delicious. The regular pizza was delicious as well, and the pizza cupcake was incredible. This place is worth the hype and the price. I believe the large deep dish was $30 with two toppings, which is steep, but it fed one person for three days! OK, lots of people love this place, and especially the more exotic items like the cupcakes, and the deep dish pizza. I stopped by on a whim a few days ago to grab a slice. I'd never been there before, new little about it. People were nice, place was clean and friendly. But that slice of pizza was the worst pizza I've ever had. It was like Greek pizza but less tasty, more greasy, and a crust far too thick, even for Greek. Was it a bad day? Dunno. In the greater Boston area, we mostly have three kinds of pizza: 1) Italian; NY style, Sicilian, Neapolitan, and more. Varies in taste and texture from each place. Almost no two alike. 2) Greek: All over the place, and many many storefront joints are Greek. In some place, almost all the pizzerias are Greek style. One interesting thing about the Greek style is that in my experience, no matter what town I'm in, the Greekpizza is exactly--exactly!--the same. 3) South Shore Bar Pizza. Closer to Greek than Italian, but it isn't, and it's so much better. So lots of people love Greek style pizza, but I don't. Greasy crust and cheese--hold a slice up vertically and watch the oil drip off. The sauce is always too sweet. So my slice of 4 Corners classic pizza was to me like the worst piece of Greek style I ever had. In that sense, it wasn't like every other Greek style place. It was unique in it's awfulness. But everybody else seems to love their pizza, according to the reviews. Not me. Never again. Not that it matters, my lone gripe vs all those positive reviews.
