I got a slice here while waiting for someone to come out of Penn Station. Service was speedy & friendly. Standing eating possible. Great place to grab a quick slice. Crust is great. Sauce could be improved. Overall pretty good; I've paid a lot more for worse pizza

We came in kinda early, because what's better than bagels for breakfast when you're in NYC? PIZZA! Conveniently located near Penn station and near the amtrack station, this is the ideal spot to grab a slice when you're on the go. Since we went early there weren't any choices out on display, they only had cheese available. So we grabbed two slices of cheese, a slice of Buffalo chicken and a coke. Everything was good, especially considering the cheese slices were so simple. The interior of the shop could have been cleaner, so minus one star for that. But overall we had a good experience and the price was right.

I stopped by at 4 Boys 99 Cents Pizza on my way to Penn Station. I was excited to try the pizza here, given the good reviews, but it's important to note there were only a few reviews posted. In short, I've had a lot better dollar pizza elsewhere. The sauce didn't have much flavor to it and the dough didn't have the right chew, but the pizza was still decent for the price. If you're going to get anything besides a cheese slice, you might as well go to another restaurant. Beyond the food, I was impressed by the size of the place, given most dollar pizza spots I've been to have been more of a stand. There wasn't really room to sit in the restaurant, but it was nice that it wasn't too crowded. If you're looking for something quick and cheap before your train, this place is certainly an option.

Honestly the pizza was average, nothing out of this world. The crust was thin and it was cheesy. Can't complain. Also, pizza was $1.50; definitely not 99 cents

Cheap pizza!!!! Not amazing lol but hey you can't go wrong if you need a quick cheap bite. Crowd can be kinda sketch and there are not even chairs to sit. Definitely meant for a quick bite and go.

Can't beat $1 pizza. Quick and hot! Not to doughy and a good amount of sauce and cheese. $1 per extra topping. Very close to Penn Station subway and Train Hall.

This is the best 99 cent pizza in the city! Its my Go to spot for when I'm driving on the weekends. It's cheap, quick and the flavors are there! I feel that it might taste better than a lot of regular pizza spots! But that is just my personal opinion from my personal experience. I have been here several times and they have not disappointed. Will continue to come back as long as they are serving great slices!

Awesome pizza place next to Madison Square Garden! $1 for just cheese and $2 for one topping slice. They give you a TON of sausage which is worth the extra dollar. Unlike a lot of 99 cent pizza places which are soggy, this place bakes it more and actually has super crispy crusts! $5 card minimum. Obviously not the best overall pizza in NYC, but amazing for the price.

Solid pizza, adequate service, good prices, good for a quick grab. But I've had better, hence the missing star.

This location was super busy and there was a line outside the door, even at midnight on a Thursday. However, the line did move quickly inside. There are not any chairs inside, just bar tables to stand around, although there did seem to be a small table with a few chairs outside. Some of the bar tables had shakers with extra chili flakes or parmesan. The pizza slice gets put into their oven to be warmed to the crisp (if it has been left out for a while), so I would say that the service was excellent for that consideration. My friends and I shared a slice of the Supreme. It was SO good! I had heard this was an overrated spot, but the taste of the onions and sausage on a thin and crispy crust was fantastic. It was pretty large in size and could be shared with others. I would definitely come back to try their other pizza slices. Very solid spot to me.

Iconically known as the workplace of Peter Parker in the original Spider-Man movie, I knew it was mandatory to pay a visit during a very Spider-Man focused weekend. Now I'm sure there are cheaper slices available elsewhere - these range about $5-6 per slice, but they're really delicious. I'm a big fan of the thin crust and simple yet yummy toppings. We went 2 times during our trip - first ordering 2 pepperoni and later a Caprese, White, and Supreme. They were all great, but my favorite was the classic pepperoni. If you're going with a group of more than 2 people and don't all mind getting the same flavor, I recommend waiting in line next door - which is where they sell by the pie only. Both lines move relatively quickly, but some times are definitely more popular than others (weekend nights). You can honestly expect minimal eating space because there's so many people trying to be in there, but we got lucky and were able to eat at one of the countertops on the side. They also have additional seasonings available such as parmesan cheese, oregano, garlic powder, and chili flakes. Definitely willing to come back next time I'm near Times Square!

I ordered via Uber Eats this time, and MAN -- I was blown away. I honestly thought that they had screwed up and sent me a gluten version. I checked the order and receipt. It was so good -- the crust so chewy with bite -- but light and airy and tight -- the cheese and toppings all great and fresh and delicious. It tasted like an awesome piece of NYC pizza. I was so happy. I did some Claude sleuthing -- and think I'm onto their magic with the crust -- and am excitedly going to experiment in my home kitchen in the coming weeks (Neapolitan oven, be damned!).

Located at 309 West 50th Street in New York City's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, the casual eatery has an extensive list of pizzas. Don Antonio has over 30 types of Neapolitan pizzas, and the menu is a little bit daunting at first due to so many options, but even the pickiest eater will find something they'll want to eat. To top that off, Caporuscio recently debuted a brand new pizza tasting menu that features a curated lineup of never-before-seen pizza napoletana, and seven varieties of pizza fritta (fried pizza). RIGHT BY THE DOOR. Do people not realize that putting a bar near a door on a freezing cold night benefits no one? Good thing I did not order alcohol or I would have froze to death. Seriously, none of the pies stood out in grand memory. All I can think of is, well, nothing. Nothing positive anyway. The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. Rather than take the pizza out, I suggest you throw it out. Overall pizza rating: 1.7/5

The first thing you notice is the main bar wall, with its exposed centuries-old brick that has survived every bit of chaos this city could throw at it. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
