Thursday specials are amazing!! $5 specials on Thursday including the Southwest egg rolls and chicken alfredo is amazing. Lots of Cajun seasoning and flavor in the pasta. Great value hookah too. Mahogany is a great bartender and server!!

This was my second time visiting 3Seventeen, and unfortunately my experience didn't match the first. My first visit was amazing, so I came back expecting the same energy. My husband and I went on a Friday night during happy hour and tried to order the advertised $5 oxtail sliders from the flyer. That's when things went left. We were told the sliders were actually $5 each and that we had to order a minimum of three, even though none of that was written on the flyer. I asked for a manager to explain, and instead of clarity, she came over with attitude and a level-10 energy. She told me they "can't put all those details on the flyer." After going back and forth, she finally offered me one slider for $5 -- which I accepted -- but the disappointment continued. It didn't taste like oxtail at all; it was more like a chopped beef BBQ slider. We ordered the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls, and they were so cold the cheese had already hardened. My husband got the fried chicken and mac and cheese, which were actually good. We also ordered drinks, but none of the happy hour options catered to dark-liquor lovers, so we had to choose from the regular menu. The hookah was harsh, barely pullable even after changing the coal. And on top of all that, they charge 18% gratuity automatically and an additional fee just for using a card. So for one appetizer, one $5 slider, two drinks, hookah, and one entry fee -- what should've been around $100 ended up being $175. For that price, the experience should've been flawless, and it wasn't. However I will say the music is great and plenty of photo opportunities.

DJ and small section to the right

3Seventeen is in the old En Vain suite. It's a lounge and bar that is nicely decorated with a chill vibe. Dimmed lights, DJ on point, and hot fresh food options. Our server made sure that we were cool throughout the night and did not miss a beat on refills of water. Water is important. They also offered the hookah setups 3Seventeen will have brunch on Saturday and Sundays so I am going back to explore those options. The dinner options were most definitely a hit. Presentation, freshness and seasoned well how it should be. I am glad that they did not have the music blasting you out of your seats. You can still enjoy a good conversation with the person next to you without screaming while eating the delicious food. Parking is shared with our places in the parking lot however depending on when you arrive those places maybe closed. There is parking at the back of the building that looks a tad bit scary but there is a security officer roaming the parking lot. They are new and seem to working through some kinks so I can't wait to return to see how they grow. This is NOT a paid advertisement nor was I asked to come visit by the owners. I was invited for dinner and I paid for my own food however the receipt tape ran out on the print and I did not want to wait on a reprint.

"Celebrating Mama Bear" 04-18-26…read more My family and I visited Cutten Kitchen together for the first time, and we absolutely loved it. My eldest sister was the one who searched for places to celebrate our mother's birthday, and she definitely picked a winner. She felt like this would have been a restaurant our mom would have truly enjoyed if she were still here on this earth, and she got it right. Let me count the reasons why Mama would have loved this restaurant: the aesthetics, the well-seasoned food, the lively vibe, the soulful energy of the atmosphere, and the wonderful customer service. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the hostess, Victoria, whose professionalism and mannerisms were spot on. She was so friendly and welcoming. She held the door open for us when we entered, and she even held it open again when we left. Our server, Daniella, matched that same level of professionalism. She was not intimidated or nervous by our group at all. She greeted us warmly, introduced herself, and took our drink and appetizer orders with ease and confidence, which let me know she knew exactly what she was doing. She also offered great drink suggestions that we really enjoyed. I do not want to bore you with a long, drawn-out review, so I'll keep this part simple. The atmosphere is welcoming, with music playing at a nice medium volume through the overhead speakers. The dining room is extremely spacious and clean. Food Ratings: Fried Catfish/Shrimp Platter - 4/5 Both were fried to perfection, with nice crunchy edges and a soft, succulent, meaty texture inside. However, it was a bit too salty for my health. Fried Fish and Grits Platter - 5/5 My younger sister said she could taste the authenticity of Black culture in the well-seasoned grits and she enjoyed them. The CK Burger - 5/5 My son said this burger was delicious, and he tore it up too! The CK Patty Melt - 5/5 My eldest sister said it was delicious and felt like it melted in her mouth with every bite. Salmon Bites Appetizer - 5/5 Fried to perfection and surprisingly not too salty. Fried Plain Wings/Lemon Pepper Wings/French Fries - 5/5 Everything was served piping hot and extra crispy. Deviled Eggs Appetizer - 5/5 Everyone around the table loved these babies. My eldest sister said she did not care too much for the fried chicken tender on top, but overall, they were still a hit. Dirty Rice - 1/5 Too salty and too greasy for my liking. It also lacked the authenticity I was hoping for. Mac and Cheese - 5/5 According to my daughter, the mac and cheese was a 5/5. However, it did have a spicy kick, so my son gave it a 4/5. If you like spicy mac and cheese, then you will probably love theirs. Collard Greens - 5/5 This item stole the show for me. The collard greens were delicious, not too salty, and seasoned just right. Here's the shocker: instead of using pork in their collards, they used turkey neck. I was genuinely impressed because a lot of people believe pork is the only way to get that deep, flavorful taste in greens, but Cutten Kitchen proved otherwise. Blueberry Lemon Drop - 5/5 This drink may seem girlie, but it hit like a man. Sitting Sideways Cocktail - 5/5 This one hits just right and gives you a nice little buzz. Pineapple Upside Down Crown - 4/5 It was a little too sweet and did not have enough liquor for me, but it was still delicious after I poured an extra shot of Crown in it. Overall, Cutten Kitchen is an upbeat, lively, and soulful establishment that offers some of the best Southern cuisine in the area. I highly recommend this place if you love authentic soul food, great customer service, and a vibrant atmosphere. FYI: Parking is plentiful, but it would probably be best to make a reservation beforehand. I have heard this place can get packed.

I came here on a Saturday with my family. The restaurant wasn't overly packed, but our waitress was…read morevisibly overwhelmed and swamped the entire time. She was pleasant and did her best, but it took a very long time for her to take our order, and the food took an equally long time to arrive. As for the food, it was a mixed experience. The lamb chops were actually very good and were probably the highlight of the meal. However, everything else fell short. The salmon bites were disappointing, and overall the food seemed to be lacking seasoning and flavor. The cornbread was another letdown. The only sweetness came from the glaze on top--the actual cornbread itself tasted more like a plain muffin with no sweetness or flavor of its own. I ordered the breakfast sampler with grits and eggs, but the grits that were served were heavily seasoned, dark Cajun-style grits rather than the traditional white grits most people expect with a breakfast plate. When I asked about it, I was told that's the only type of grits they serve. If that's the case, there should be a disclaimer on the menu because "grits and eggs" typically implies traditional breakfast grits, not the style usually served alongside dishes like shrimp and grits or catfish and grits. My husband ordered the lamb chops and eggs, my son had the chicken and waffles, and we also shared the salmon bites and cornbread. Unfortunately, aside from the lamb chops, nothing really stood out in a positive way. Considering the amount we spent, I left disappointed. While the staff was friendly and doing their best under the circumstances, the long wait times and lack of flavor in most of the food made the experience underwhelming. I would not return.

Today I got the beef tips, mac & cheese, and yams. Yummylicious!! The food has been fresh and they are not stingy with the portions as I have seen with other places. I hope they never change that because customers love to feel like they have received their money's worth. Believe me, you will feel this way!! The weight on that plate was heavy in the best way!! The picture that I attached from today's visit, I had already eaten out of it so that gives you an idea of how much food they give. My husband has been twice and each time he gets the fried chicken wings, mac & cheese, and mash potatoes. He was very pleased!! I tasted the chicken and it was really good!! How those wings remain so moist and the skin just right always amazes me!! We drive over 40 minutes both ways to visit and clearly it is worth it to us!!! We will continue to eat here!!

Trash!!!!! I don't…read moreeven know where to start. Saw a review on TikTok about this restaurant. We usually go to Mikey's or Thisisit! Both amazing places btw but we decided to try something a little closer. The Location was hard to find with the black out windows and plastic banner outside. When you get inside the food in the pans were scarce and employees has no intentions on being out more. The chafers had no lid coverings for the food. We ordered turkey necks collards and yams with side of Mac n cheese Turkey wing with dressing and yams with side of Mac n cheese A kids chicken wings rice and Mac n cheese (they do not have tenders even though it's on the menu) Strawberry cake Peach cobbler Total was 78.43 Oh and was not made aware that we had to wait 25 mins for the peach cobbler. Now once the food made it home we warmed it up bc it was a 15 mins drive home. The turkey necks definitely wasn't cleaned before being cooked they had an awful taste to them. I removed them from the bed of rice and the sauce from the turkey necks had the rice tasting the same. SMH Mac and cheese was disgusting! I can't believe people actually enjoy cream of chicken in their Mac n cheese! Collards and yams were the only things that were pleasant enough to eat IMO. The chicken wings from the kids order were rubbery and slightly pink inside. My son didn't eat anything from his plate. The turkey wings were fatty and lacked seasoning, still had the taste like the turkey necks as if they were not cleaned properly before cooking. Stuffing was dry and this could be due to no lids covering food. Food workers did not have gloves on for hair nets. Update: I called the restaurant to speak to Tracy the manager and was told there had not been any complaints that day regarding the food! Were asked questions like did we still have the food? How was the customer service but no solution to the problem. I even offered to bring the food back in order to receive a refund. She told me that I couldn't receive a refund but they would make another plate for us. My question is: if I didn't enjoy how the food tastes what makes you think I want another plate of food?? I informed her that I would reach out to my bank and file a dispute which I is what I did. Horrible FOOD HORRIBLE SERVICE HORRIBLE OWNER. 0 out of 10!
