This is my 3rd time eating here and again I am a satisfied customer!! The first two times I went I had cajun chicken, mac&cheese, and yams. I enjoyed it both times!! Today I got the beef tips, mac & cheese, and yams. Yummylicious!! The food has been fresh and they are not stingy with the portions as I have seen with other places. I hope they never change that because customers love to feel like they have received their money's worth. Believe me, you will feel this way!! The weight on that plate was heavy in the best way!! The picture that I attached from today's visit, I had already eaten out of it so that gives you an idea of how much food they give. My husband has been twice and each time he gets the fried chicken wings, mac & cheese, and mash potatoes. He was very pleased!! I tasted the chicken and it was really good!! Annie B's, I have been here a few times and I enjoy the food and the service. I do recommend that if you come you plan for an hour for food whether you are dining in or taking an order to go. Im not sure why it takes so long to fix the plates, because soul food is typically already cooked with the exception of fried items, but it does. So come when you have time to wait (at least an hour). If I dont have the time, I will usually go to another spot. read more

Trash!!!!! I don't even know where to start. Saw a review on TikTok about this restaurant. We usually go to Mikey's or Thisisit! Both amazing places btw but we decided to try something a little closer. The chafers had no lid coverings for the food. We ordered turkey necks collards and yams with side of Mac n cheese Turkey wing with dressing and yams with side of Mac n cheese A kids chicken wings rice and Mac n cheese (they do not have tenders even though it's on the menu) Strawberry cake Peach cobbler Total was 78.43 Oh and was not made aware that we had to wait 25 mins for the peach cobbler. Now once the food made it home we warmed it up bc it was a 15 mins drive home. The turkey necks definitely wasn't cleaned before being cooked they had an awful taste to them. I removed them from the bed of rice and the sauce from the turkey necks had the rice tasting the same. SMH Mac and cheese was disgusting! I can't believe people actually enjoy cream of chicken in their Mac n cheese! Collards and yams were the only things that were pleasant enough to eat IMO. The chicken wings from the kids order were rubbery and slightly pink inside. My son didn't eat anything from his plate. The turkey wings were fatty and lacked seasoning, still had the taste like the turkey necks as if they were not cleaned properly before cooking. Stuffing was dry and this could be due to no lids covering food. Food workers did not have gloves on for hair nets. Update: I called the restaurant to speak to Tracy the manager and was told there had not been any complaints that day regarding the food! Were asked questions like did we still have the food? How was the customer service but no solution to the problem. I even offered to bring the food back in order to receive a refund. She told me that I couldn't receive a refund but they would make another plate for us. My question is: if I didn't enjoy how the food tastes what makes you think I want another plate of food?? Easy five star review, the food is amazing, the customer service is top-notch, and the portion size are extremely large! YUGE! Food: they have quite extensive menu and I wasn't sure what to get but when I saw beef tips on the menu, that's what I had to go with. The beef tips over white rice were extremely flavorful and simply amazing. I love the fact that you can get spaghetti as a side. How cool is that. Also the mac & cheese was so cheesy and full of flavor. The cornbread was simply amazing. It was like a mini cake. I could've eaten two or three slices of that cornbread with no problem. The customer service is great. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by friendly, nice people that work there. Everyone is welcoming and will help you with the menu and everything like that. The portion size is unreal. Seriously, two or three people can eat off of one plate. No doubt about it you can seriously come in with two people minimum and share one plate. Possibly3. Soul food is one of those cuisines that always get me excited to try. I'm also very disappointed when I try a place that isn't good. This was not a problem with Annie B's. I googled soul food randomly since I was in the area. The area is not in the best location, but I will go almost anywhere for a good meal. Soul Y Mex aka Annie B's The Ambiance: I've heard positive reviews and tried visiting in the past, but always seemed to miss it. I recently visited this past weekend and was able to learn the business hours and much more. My Order: #1:Cajun Baked chicken w/spaghetti, Mac n cheese, and green beans: the baked chicken is truly a Cajun dish and I love it, flavor is there with the right amount of spice. The cornbread was fresh out the oven and the owner was super helpful with providing more sauce( not pictured) for the spaghetti. The sauce is top tier. The Mac n cheese was great and the green beans works best for various taste palettes as it is not salty. The whole dish balances well. #2: fried catfish w/ yams and Mac n cheese. My husband ordered the fried fish and he loved the crispy mess. I was able to try the yams and they are super soft with the right amount of sweetness. He and I would both rate this dish very high. Actually both dishes were great, I had no complaints. Drinks: Koolaid We ordered the pink and purple flavor. Both were great. Service: Customer service was stellar. I've been here serval times and the flavor and customer service keeps me coming back every time! If you come here you mussst get a cake they are so good! The banana pudding is delicious but so is the food. My favorite is the oxtails and beef tips. Gotta have the cabbage and yams as a side and the koolaid is delicious too. Food was just ok. Didn't have a lot of flavor in my opinion. Got the fried chicken with Mac n cheese and cabbage. My son got the fried fish and said it was good... Tried the food for the 1st time today. I tried the oxtail, Mac and cheese, candied yams, banana pudding and peach cobbler. My husband tried the spaghetti, greens and cabbage. Mannnn! I've had the fish, the oxtails, greens, cabbage, yams, turkey, pound cake, fried chicken, cornbread and got a sample of the turkey necks and dressing....two words...simply delicious!
