These guys are incredible and work like a well oiled machine. They are extremely efficient, polite, respectful & well mannered, which is a rarity these days. Moving PTSD-do not use 3P Moving and Delivery 615 I could write many pages of hard to believe events which happened last week with our 3 day and three 26 ft trucks move with 3PDelivery615. First of all, their estimate was the highest of my 3 estimates but William said it would be reduced significantly if we moved boxes ourselves. 2 days before the scheduled move we rented a 20 ft truck filled to the brim and unloaded it at the new house. At the end of the move I was presented a bill reduced by $300 from an almost $9000 bill ... Now, I realize this is an estimate but how could it be that far off? I chose this company because they were the only moving estimate that included hooking up the washer and the dryer, moving the empty propane tanks, and hauling the outdoor planters. Plus, I had received an email or a text from William from 3P who had done our estimate, saying that they try hard to give "a not so conservative" estimate of time and expenses while other companies give you a low ball estimate. I can only imagine what our bill would have been had we not done so so so much work ourselves. THE GOOD: Some of the movers were personable and friendly; they seemed to take good care of walls, etc at our old house without much damage there. They also fit a large 3 piece cabinet into a tight fitting niche which was not easy. Even though the black paint on the cabinet was damaged with large white scratches of white paint front and center and the side wall of the niche was marked up with the black cabinet paint, it looks good in it's new home! LOTS OF BAD: -Broken Furniture for which they would have paid 60 cents on the pound... $12 for a newish bedside table with totally broken off foot and maybe $10 for a rosewood antique table with two legs left partially unattached. One mover mentioned they could load the broken piece and take to a restoration company to fix. But, then the manager told me we would have to pay for the repairs. We are still discovering damaged pieces of finished wood on the floor-yet to discover where the piece came from. Jacob, team leader, unwrapped a very large chest while I was in near vicinity...discovering a foot long piece of finished wood that looked like it was a piece of the chest but we still don't know where it goes. -Washer and Dryer were not hooked up even after asking 3 different movers; finally they hooked the washing machine hose and dryer hose but just discovered today they did not plug in either washer or dryer. Now we know why: plugged in washer fine but dryer plug and outlet did not match. Did they tell us about this? Nope. After having to get an electrician out to change the 3 prong plug to match the 4 prong outlet this am (not their fault), I turned on the washing machine hoping to get to wash and dry some clothes but I got soaked from the washer supply line that wasn't attached properly when i turned the supply lines on. Plumber said movers did not put the washers back in nor did they even barely tighten the supply lines on either end, so we likely would have had a flood. The electrician looked at the dryer hose and said that it was not even attached to the dryer plus had been ripped (admittedly easily done-but a head's up about all of these issues would have helped) -Found broken parts of chandelier on floor in the new house they did not tell us about. They must have thrown away the biggest part of the broken piece or taken with them. -A part of the King Bed was left at old house which the team leader asked us to go and retrieve at the old house from the garage because they couldn't set up bed at new house without it. It did not fit in our car so one of the movers with a pick up truck had to go back to the old house. Meanwhile a King Mattress is sitting in the hall at new house while they move furniture around it resulting in foot long scratch with gouged areas in the drywall. Part of this was my fault because as they finished loading the truck at the old house, I noticed what looked like a Hollywood frame in the grass. We had another King Bed with Hollywood frame that was to go to Good Will ...so movers placed it the garage thinking that the frame in the grass was from the Good Will bed. -Shattered Hand thrown planter made by my Mother and broken by Jacob, the team leader, which I witnessed but no apologies. -Left without unwrapping all furniture. Still have blankets and saran wrap on items -Furniture labels were changed to say Goodwill instead of the exact Room at new house. But, it didn't matter what the label said because they just took things wherever they wanted: Heavy St Francis of Assisi garden statue with dirt on the bottom placed inside the new house-Unprofessional behavior-offensive language was common. Left probably 20 soft drink bottles or sweating water bottles on wood floor or furniture over the 3 day move. 1/2 eaten pizza slices and leftover pizza in boxes on bookcase left for us to clean up. Prompt and courteous service. Movers arrived on time and accomplished the move in the time and amount we agreed upon. There were no last minute charges or add ons at the conclusion of the move. The movers were professionally dressed and took great precautions when handling my things. I have several heavy antique pieces that were moved professionally and unscathed.
