I really hope I am not moving again for several years, but when I do... if this company is still around, I will definitely be using them! I just moved this weekend from West Nashville to Franklin and these guys could not have done a better job. The quote process was quick and easy. They are super responsive and communicate well. Move time was noon on Saturday. I received a text from them around 11:40am saying running a few behind but would be there by 12:15pm or so. Once they showed it was a breeze! Huge truck and 5 guys, they had my 2 bed/2 bath apartment loaded into that truck in less than 30 minutes. I think the drive to the new place was longer than the load time. Again, super quick unload and they were all so kind, and very careful with your items. 3 hour minimum so I ended up paying for longer than what they worked, but that is moving company standards, and I've done that with just about every move I've ever done. Do not use these guys. They lost the slats to a bed and the screws. They lost many things of mine. They were lazy and slow, with one on his phone a lot and another in the bathroom. They were horrible! Eric- I told you that they were bad, but I didn't find out just how bad until I had movers go get my things out of storage, that's when it became apparent things were missing. Sean, Matt & Leo moved us out of our very full storage unit and into our house in record time and they were personable and careful with our things, even assembling furniture for us that they hadn't taken apart, since everything had been sitting in storage after our move down from Boston. We recently made a cross-country move. This was the first time I've paid anybody to help me with the process, and it was unbelievably great! Packing: Eric's team of packers came over with boxes, tape, markers, padding, and just went to work. In just a few hours they had the whole house boxed up and ready to load. Loading: A team of 3 guys showed up, were super friendly, loaded in a short amount of time, and took care of my stuff. Cross-country move and unload: The guys (some of the same ones that loaded the truck) delivered our stuff to a storage container in the new city, unloaded it all, and took care packing it in nicely. Overall, this was the least stressful part of the whole move. I'd hire Eric and his team again in a heartbeat. Better Day Movers were great...from start to finish they delivered. Eric (the owner) came out to the house to inspect the move and provide an estimate. This was a 5,000 square foot, 2 story home that they were moving 289 miles. Eric was polite and thorough; he also got back to me quickly with a written quote. On move day Eric arrived with his crew as scheduled and got busy. Every member of the crew was polite and extremely careful with furniture, paintings, mirrors, crystal, China, etc. They finished on schedule and departed immediately. They arrived at the destination as promised and did an absolute wonderful job. They were a pleasure to deal with and made a normally extremely stressful time for us much calmer. Wow!!! I've done a good number of moves, but Better Day Movers is the best I have encountered. Eric is about a straight-shooter as possible. Everything he said he would do, he actually did! (Who'da thunk that?!!)) The move was a bit complex. It was from a Nashville house into storage (in Franklin) and then, two months later, from Franklin to West Palm Beach, FL. Better Day's packers came in the day before and packed dishes and other such stuff and the next day Eric and his guys picked it up and moved it into Red Carpet Storage -- also a great business. When it came time for the move to Florida, I was about 600 miles away. Better Day and Red Carpet coordinated things so that I didn't have to come back to Nashville. They packed the truck early that morning and left the same day. The next day they showed up in the morning, Eric and Chris unloaded the truck into the three story townhouse, assembled the beds, and finished up by the early afternoon! They were very clever in that they rented a U-Haul for the trip to Florida so, when finished, instead of driving a truck back to Nashville, they returned the truck and flew back to Nashville. Of course, I paid for their air tickets but it was a lot cheaper than driving a truck back. I liked everything about working with these guys; honesty, hard work, complete transparency, and a great price. I doubt that I will be in the Nashville area again and I sure hope I never have to move again, but if I ever did, I'd feel very lucky to find someone as good as these guys. read more

Well it could have been a better day for a move since it was POURING rain, but these guys showed up early and worked hard with great attitudes the whole time! From Eric providing great service with extra efforts to confirm multiple times to take care of my nerves and an extra man due to the weather, to the great expertise and team leadership from Jonathan, to the pleasantness and sheer physical strength of each of the four guys, Better Day was everything I could have expected from professional movers. They were careful, watched out for low ceiling lights, took care of my heavy antiques, managed stairs and an obnoxiously small front entry with great communication and finesse. Moving in the midst of holidays (Christmas/New Year's Eve) is always a bit more stressful than usual. I had contacted 7 or so moving companies and had decided to go with one. I then got a voice mail from a missed call from Eric. His message was genuine, polite and thorough, so I called him back just to go over a few more details. I ended up cancelling with the other company and going with Better Day Movers. Communication was great, and there were absolutely no push-backs when I needed to change my original moving date & time. So glad we went with this company! We had 5 young men and 2 trucks show up moving day and all were very organized. Each team member had their job and they worked quickly and efficiently. (Which is key when you pay by the hr.) There was one bed that got an extremely minor chip and they immediately called me over to show me what happened and let me know it will be documented and fixed. (I fully expected something to get damaged or broken from past experience.) The damage was so minor and completely unnoticeable when the bed was put together I told them not to worry about it. I just appreciated the honesty and initiative taken rather then trying to cover it up. NOTHING else got damaged. He gave us a fair and great price and when he was all done it came out cheaper since they finished in less hours. They came early in the morning and worked non stop very professional and nice. The moving crew damaged 7 pieces of furniture during our move. The crew had a poor attitude and when I asked the crew to better wrap the furniture because one piece of furniture was damaged, they gave me an attitude that I would ask such a thing. After the move was complete, I called the owner to complain and although he apologized for the lack of care and professionalism, he was only able to repair 3 pieces of furniture. The remaining items are damaged. I'm very frustrated with this company. I do not recommend them. read more

Stolen prescriptions; heavily damaged items; left us in the lurch. Because one star is as low as the rating went. I have multiple moves under my belt; crisscrossing the country. I utilized Better Day Movers on a recommendation. After doing my own research, they seemed legit and a different moving company. WRONG!!! Started as a great experience, then we noticed items missing. One employee went through items we had set aside during packing day. He took specific prescriptions from our packed luggage. We informed the owner of the issue and nothing was done to correct the issue. Also, we had expressed concerns about reassembly of furniture and appliances since during the packing it seemed no one was paying attention to where parts were going. Eric assured is they would be the one to reassemble, more than once. Also on moving out day, we were quoted an amount of time to move out of the house, it was well over double to move us out. While not charged for the time, it set us well behind on our time. As the day approached to move our items out of storage into our new home, Eric informed us they would not be able to move us and we would need to find someone else. Once we received the necessary items to get our household goods out of storage, we found multiple items with significant damages. It looked as though the items had been literally thrown into the storage. Now trying to get the damage repaired is impossible since he will not return my communication. When it comes to moving, better day is not better. In fact, it has been the worst day of all my moving experiences in 30 years!! Other items of concern: Nothing was wrapped/protected No covering for floors One person had never packed/moved Underestimated storage requirements Unconcerned with our timeline Lack of supervision of college kids in the job One positive, Eric's wife did a professional job packing household good.
