I very rarely if ever write a review online, however, I just have to share my beyond excellent experience with Better Day Movers. My husband and I moved from Nashville up to the Boston area almost two years ago and still had our furniture and most of our belongings in storage at my parents' house. I was very nervous about hiring a moving company from afar as I was not there to oversee the loading portion in Nashville. My parents also have a beautiful home and I wanted to make sure I hired a company I could trust to be careful and respectful. Well Better Day Movers could not have been more AMAZING!!!!!! Owner, Eric, was incredibly responsive throughout the entire process leading up to the move - an absolute quality guy. He stopped by ahead of time and assessed what size truck we would need and how long he thought it would take in order to provide an accurate estimate. Moving day went incredibly smoothly with no hiccups and no issues whatsoever. They left Nashville on a Thursday morning and were pulling up to our house in Boston by Friday evening - again, amazing!! Eric drove the truck up himself and not one item was in but perfect condition upon arrival including some pretty delicate antique cane back chairs as well as some large heavy mirrors. The drop off was very easy and their demeanor was so lovely - even after an epic drive. I would have been exhausted if I were them but they were energetic and extremely efficient, never took one break, just got it done as fast as possible. We ended up coming in at the very lowest end of our estimate (since there was a potential range based on drive time, traffic, etc) and this was even with them running into a bit of traffic when driving through the NYC area. So so very glad we picked Better Day Movers. Right on budget (if not a little under, technically, when compared to other quotes we got) and every item in perfect condition. January has got to be every movers' nightmare month to move but Better Day Movers did a fantastic job. When I was looking for movers, Eric at Better Day responded to my quote request within an hour. He offered a free in-home estimate because it gave him the best ability to give an estimate. He was incredibly flexible and came at a convenient time for me. He was on time, polite, genuine and gave me a quote that ended up being exactly spot on. His crew were quality men that worked hard the whole time. They took apart my Restoration Hardware furniture and put it back together at my new place. I had a spiral staircase at my old place and they had to carry very large, heavy pieces around and down. The reason they got 5 stars from me is not because they were able to move my things from one place to another but because of the way they handled an unfortunate situation: I have a very large, very heavy, expensive Restoration Hardware bed with a solid wood headboard. In the effort to move out, it had to come down the spiral staircase. The crew took every precaution they could to protect it but it ended up getting badly scraped by the metal railing. They were not being careless; they were not irresponsible. It was just an accident. Immediately, the crew leader pointed out what they did and said he would contact the owner (Eric) to let him know they needed to take care of it and that's exactly what he did. Eric called me the same day to set up an appointment with a furniture repair man. The repairman was actually not able to fix it so Eric called me himself to tell me he'd replace the headboard at his own cost. I thought his effort was amazing, especially because it was just an accident so I opted for just a couple hundred dollars for the damage instead. I would definitely use Better Day Movers again. Man, where to begin??? My movers who I have the last couple moves left me high and dry. I had previously talked to Eric about moving us before, so he was my first call. So glad I made that call and so glad that my previous movers did that to me. To begin, I am a constant mover...moved over 8 times in 20 years. So I have a lot of experience with movers...both long-range big companies and locally-owned and ran companies. Used a lot of them...seen a lot. Eric looked at his schedule and figured out how to help us move in less than a week. He fit us into the schedule and made sure that we would be able to move on time. Next, his crew showed up...not late...not on time...but EARLY. They came cleanly dressed, professionally looking, and were 4 guys I would let babysit...I was VERY impressed with the young men who came to move us. Then the move...they worked their tail off....were very careful with my new house, my yard (never walked in it...not even once), my furnishings...everything. They were friendly, but did not sit around and try to talk their way into additional hours....just very, very, very impressed. I have zero hesitation recommending Better Day Movers. Great movers are really hard to find, aren't they? Look no further. These guys are top-notch. Eric came to my home to give an in-person estimate. He was straight-forward and a consummate professional. On the big day, his crew showed up on time, with the promised courtesy call shortly before they arrived. It was no non-sense from the moment the move began. Those guys worked so hard to get us out, then in without a wasting time. They were polite and efficient ... so efficient actually, that the final cost was less than the middle of the estimate number. (They give you an estimate with a range. There is a cap on the rate. For example, if they say $1,400-$1,800, you won't pay more than $1,800 even if it takes them longer). I'm not sure if it's typical to come in lower than expected, but Eric did promise they would work really hard to keep the hours down while still being careful - which is what happened! They also stress that they don't have hidden fees, which is 100 percent true. They give all the numbers up front, no strings attached and don't take a dime until work is complete. Another thing I wanted to note in this review is that this business is family owned and operated. These guys really lived up to that and talked to us as if we were friends, instead of just another customer. read more

The name says it all. Our contractors were suppose to be done painting our home 2 days prior to our move-in date...they weren't and it caused our family (4 kids, my mother-in-law and my wife and I) a great deal of stress. Better Days Movers arrived right on time, immediately got out of the truck, and efficiently packed the truck like Tetris champions! I'll be the first to admit, that when I saw 4 young guys from ages 18-22, I thought we'd be in for quite a few phone checks, down time, etc...NOPE. They hustled The. Entire. Time. Even when we bought them pizza because our move took more time than expected, they said thank you, grabbed a couple of pieces for about 5 mins, then ran back the truck to finish the final load. Nothing broken, no walls dinged up...and did I mention they were one of the CHEAPEST deals around? No hidden fees, no travel fee, no fuel fee...just a straight hourly rate with a 3 hour minimum. I'm a realtor, so I have indirect experience with almost every moving company out there...with that said, these guys will get every single recommendation to my clients in the future. Our first move included the presence of Erick and we were highly satisfied. The second move did not include Erick and the supporting team spent a lot of time on their phones; I actually started removing furniture from the house to expediate the process. Upon arrival to New Mexico our mahogany dining room table was crushed from the amount of weight placed on the table top. Six linen dining chairs were filthy as a result of not being appropriately covered. An expensive rug had an open milk carton with chemicals that leaked on the rug. Various chairs severely scratched. Shortly after our arrival to New Mexico, the state went back on COVID lock down. I had contacted Erick and provided pictures, we agreed to not use his insurance company. I said many things I could take care of myself, but the dining table would need professional repair. After the COVID lockdown was lifted I tried many vendors, but no one could repair the mahogany dining table. Unfortunately I finally had to take the dining table to the dump. Erick stated he would reimburse me for the dining room table, but this has never occurred. It has been 1 1/2 months and I have not received my reimbursement and my texts to Erick remain unanswered. read more

Better Day Movers quickly & courteously helped us after a disaster with another moving company. The other company underestimated how much stuff we had, did not bring an adequate size or number of trucks, wanted cash payment immediately after exceeding the 12 hour agreed time limit on the quote; & they did not work a full 12 hours. We still had all of our large appliances left to move as well as numerous boxes & furniture. We contacted Eric, the owner of Better Day Movers, on a Saturday, explained our situation; & he scheduled us first thing the following Monday at 8:00 am. Eric & his crew showed up on time & were very courteous & professional. They packed with care & used plenty of packing blankets. They moved all the appliances without any mishaps. The young man who unhooked the appliance & hooked them back up in the new house knew his stuff. They were also quick, it only took them 4 hours to load a 26 foot truck, drive 45 mins to the new house & unload everything. We recently moved across Franklin, TN and having moved across country to get here 23 years ago and several times since, this was with out a doubt the best moving experience we've ever had. My wife and I actually booked 2 different companies accidentally since we were moving a good bit of stuff from another home to the new one in addition to belongings where we lived. The difference in experience could not have been more stark. Better Day Movers, not only showed up on time, did what they said they'd do, made an extra stop and went above and beyond all we expected to make this stressful situation go smoothly. After losing some glass shelves that we thought they forgot to unload, Eric was willing to buy new ones and have them cut at his expense to make sure we were happy & make it right. We ended up finding them so he didn't have to buy new ones, but his willingness to make this right speaks to his integrity and willingness to make sure we were happy. My wife and I used Better Day Movers for our recent moving trip from Spring Hill Tennessee to Crossville Tennessee 125 miles away. Eric came to our home for an estimate and despite the additional truck, a full complement of 4 movers, and an extremely long day the estimate I paid was the estimate I was given. The moving guys were very friendly and professional. We chatted on and off even though they diligently move boxes and furniture one item after the other until the job was finished. The job evidently took much longer then was projected but that was because we had more boxes and Furniture than it really appeared. My wife and I cannot say enough good things about better day Movers. In summary, I'll simply say if you want a moving company to be on time reasonable with pricing, with extremely hard-working movers then call better day Movers. Go with Better Day Movers. Period. From calling three other local moving companies, Better Day Movers was THE BEST from the get go. Laura makes scheduling the easiest thing ever and works with you. For your quote, the owner Eric comes to your house to give you an in-person estimate. He's a straight shooter and can be trusted 110%. Even in their quote they give you a number that they will not exceed in charging. After having to change our moving date a few times, they were still able to work us in and even called us to see if we wanted to bump up our time after they had a cancelation. They showed up EARLY and got us moved out and into our new place in what felt like record time. They are there to WORK y'all. We were scammed by a full service moving company out of Chicago, Smooth Relocation Vanlines, and ended up having to move ourselves to Nashville and Eric and his team REALLY helped us out on short notice! I swear that Eric called me within seconds of sending out a an email request on Yelp. He was able to fit us in and sent a crew; Jake, Marshall and Matt, the very next day to unload a truck we were forced to rent. These guys were great and fast! Unloaded the truck in less than an hour and found a spot for everything! We are so appreciative to the entire Better Day Movers crew after being stranded by the other moving company. I have used Better Day movers twice. First on my move from Atlanta to Franklin, Tennessee and again when i found the house I wanted to live in. I am a very picky maybe even a bit OCD about things and hoped the movers would be careful with my furniture during the move. When I first met the owner Eric Horton my mind was put at ease for he was such a personable, down to earth and professional person. Eric's moving crew spoke well for Better Day Movers also. That showed me that he wanted the work and he and his team did not let me down from beginning quote to the end of moving day. They know what they're doing, they work hard and efficiently with no messing around on my dime, and they are extremely capable at handling a zillion boxes, odd sized stuff and weirdly wrapped furniture (my wrapping, not theirs). They even helped roll out the large carpet that I couldn't move by myself, which I greatly appreciate because it had to be down before the furniture. I could not say enough about the excellent experience that I had with better day movers. First they arrived on time and completed the job in the estimated time frame. One of the reasons was the owner felt it may be a little difficult to do the job with only two men so he sent a third, at no charge. Who else would do that. Then they finished before the contracted three hours and only charged me for 2.5 hours. But expense is one thing how did they do, answer they managed to get everything into the two pods without damage. And no damage to my home. I received many quotes from various moving companies but was won over by Eric's personality and honesty. The move involved going down from a third story apartment via stairs, so he quoted the move to be 4/6 hours. When the moving day came they were all on time and very professional. The stresses of moving left quickly watching how quickly they moved things in and out. Once arriving to the home they were very cautious about not damaging a thing and did an amazing job at maneuvering heavy furniture through awkward spaces. Sean and Ethan were fantastic! They got there 30 minutes early and were ready to get after it. They were incredibly polite, worked fast, packed and moved items carefully and checked everything for potential damage and let me know of any scratches or dings (pretty much all were preexisting - but I appreciated their honesty and concern). It was incredibly hot (July hear in the South is not your friend) by the end of the day and they continued to push through.
