I was staying near the Santa Anita Mall, so I decided to revisit the mall area after 3+ years of last being in the area. I noticed this new boba spot in the area, so I had to check it out. They had a nice variety of various milk teas and other fresh fruit drinks. I opted for the Avomango Sweet Dew since it was one of their popular drinks and also non-caffeinated. I got the drink with minimal sugar, which was absolutely perfect. The natural sweetness from the mango and avocado were perfect, and anything sweeter would've been too much. The sago and agar boba really helped with the textural complexity, but without adding too much sweetness to the drink. For a smoothie, it definitely wasn't icy, so they did a great job in blending it together. The drink was $6.75, which seems to be on par with boba drinks these days. You can order from the standalone ordering machines, and you can see the numbers being called from a tv inside the shop. I came on a Mon afternoon, so it wasn't busy at all. My partner loves drinking at 3Cat! They don't have food at this place! Service is good and consistent since they have a screen telling consumers when their orders is being prepared and ready! It was just the right amount of sweetness. I did make the mistake of not remembering to put any toppings, however. Never assume that drinks come with toppings already! (But that's on me!) It's always our go to and never disappoints. The mochi is thick enough for that mochi chewiness but thin enough to not have to struggle to get it through the straw.
