My husband and I stayed here on Easter long weekend, a getaway that we planned to escape the city. We arrived on Thursday evening and departed Sunday morning. We stayed in the Halsey Suite, which was absolutely incredible. The bed was extremely comfortable and the fireplace was just wonderful. My husband and I also decided that our next home has to have a similar bathroom because it was just awesome. The freestanding tub, shower, and amenities were incredible. We also loved the afternoon cookies baked by Liz and just staying at this wonderful inn. On Friday, since it was the only day with good weather, Liz gave us directions to the beach and helped us figure out where to eat for dinner. We drove around and explored the area. On Saturday, Liz gave us passes to the Parrish Art Museum, and we spent the rest of the time just relaxing in the room until dinner which was also nice because the weather was pretty terrible. The room had so many incredible amenities, and it was nice to just be able to get away and relax. It would be remiss of me to leave a review without mentioning the breakfasts made by Liz. 3 courses of absolute deliciousness - as you can see from my photos. They were also wonderful at recommending restaurants to eat at, and tell us what they thought if it was a place we already booked. I also purchased the cookies and cocoa option as a surprise for my husband, and Liz's homemade marshmallows and the homemade cookies we took home allowed us to keep enjoying the stay we had here. If we ever decide to come out to The Hamptons again, White Fences would be the first place we look to book. We had an absolutely incredible stay.

The hotel acknowledged it was not my fault but rather than deal with Expedia they ripped up off a vulnerable customer. My rating is based on ethics of management vs the accommodations of the hotel given I never got to stay there. My wife and I had to get (and double pay) for another hotel room last minute.

Our accommodation was situated on the third floor, which was ideal, featuring a king-sized bed, a television, and a bathroom equipped with a spacious soaking tub. Each morning, we enjoyed a complimentary breakfast that included eggs, yogurt, fruit, pancakes, coffee, tea, and more. This meal was available in a cozy dining area or could be served in our room. Additionally, there is a small snack area accessible throughout the day. The Inn itself exudes the charm of a bygone era and is well-maintained. The staff consistently demonstrated friendliness and attentiveness. The Inn is conveniently positioned within walking distance to downtown and other attractions. Overall, it was a delightful stay.

The staff, specifically, Mrs. Tiffany, who met sure we had everything we needed, Taylor (the cook ) who made sure mom's over easy eggs and not too crispy muffins were to perfection, and lastly, Mrs. Dawn, who's love for museums was shared and felt as she assisted mom and I on the things to do and places to visit during our stay. This is definitely a place the family and I will visit again. We just wish the weather was a little warmer. If you just need to slow down from the hustle bustle & simply get away, East Hampton, NY is a great place to do it. Accommodations are great. Thank you Mill House Inn. You ladies & gents were amazing and attentive.

The Bridgehampton Inn is beautiful and historic -- feels like you're stepping back in time without it feeling modern or outdated. We were seated near the fireplace which was appreciated since it was such a cold day. I loved the artwork and modern touches, like the fun orange-swirled water glasses. We were lucky enough to come during Restaurant Week, so we had the opportunity to sample a bit of everything on the menu. We kicked things off with the tuna tartare, topped with wasabi caviar and crispy potatoes that were the perfect vessel for devouring this dish. We also got the seared foie gras on top of prosciutto, which was decadent and well balanced with the fig preserves. We also tried the escargot which was a standout -- soft and delicious, topped with garlic and parsley and served with fresh bread. For entrees, we had the local flounder with spinach and cauliflower puree which was fresh and delicious. The Berkshire pork guanciale was rich and tender, paired with freshly sauteed vegetables. The wagyu short ribs were the stand out for me -- served with crispy brussels sprouts and truffle mashed potatoes. Dessert was also out of this world. The hazelnut panna cotta had so much flavor that it won over my mom - a lifelong panna cotta hater. The Basque cheesecake was made perfectly, the right balance of cheesy and sweet. The strawberries with mascarpone cream were fresh with just the right berry to cream ratio. I literally dream about this dinner, and hope to return the next time I'm in the area.

The ambiance is charming and cozy, with that classic Hamptons elegance that makes you want to linger over dessert. We were honestly surprised that we haven't been here all these years--it's truly a gem that deserves all the praise it gets. The only small downside was the maitre d', who came across a bit less welcoming than the rest of the team. Thankfully, the rest of the staff more than made up for it with their friendliness and professionalism. Overall, we loved our evening and can't wait to return!

The rooms have iPod docks with 30-pin connectors. I mean at this point just remove them if you aren't going to replace them guys - they haven't worked with any iPhone since 2012. 3. A woman who fell squarely into the "surprised and afraid to find herself in charge of a hotel" category was incredibly rude to my wife when we were working from the room (as we had been told we could) the day we needed to inexplicably vacate it for a different room. "My husband is showering, we need 15 minutes." "You can't have 15 minutes." Like, what are you going to do? Forcibly remove us from the room? You guys were the ones who told us we could use the room. 4. I should also note that the rooms were LITERALLY RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO EACH OTHER and to my eye completely identical. (The one we moved to had a small balcony but otherwise I didn't detect any material difference.) It doesn't seem like an insurmountable puzzle to solve that you could have just put the other people into the vacant room. 5. They decided for some reason to empty the hotel's septic tank during our friends' wedding photos. 6. It's one of those places where a hopeless fussy person has laminated lots of signs with rules and instructions. Do NOT remove the laminated guide to the room from the room itself. Do NOT use any towel other than the blue ones for removing makeup. Do NOT flush anything other than toilet paper because the house has EXTREMELY sensitive plumbing. It all seems like someone very, very angry runs the place. (Is there a significant problem with guests removing the laminated guide from the room?) One star for a good location and another star for a pretty good breakfast (you are entitled to ONE cooked item, per the rules).
