After our trip to France, I keep thinking about French pastries. One random day, my husband…read moresurprised me by bringing home some treats from Rocheli Patisserie! Well, that's the good news. The bad news was he thought he could carry them home on his motorcycle in 100 degree heat. You can guess how that worked out. He must have seen the viral cheesecake mousse fruits online, and got me a pumpkin shaped mousse. That fared the worst, and was a sad waste of almost $15! The goo I could scrape from inside the box tasted pretty good though. He remembered I loved kouign-amann in France, so he got me one of those. Unfortunately, Rocheli Patisserie's take on it tasted kind of burnt. I remembered last time I went in person, it looked burnt too. The good kouign-amann I kept going back for in France are golden and caramelized without going as far as getting dark and burnt. Thirdly, he got me the croissant supreme. That was by far my favorite! If you like croissants, and want a next-level treat, this is it! The crispy outside tasted more like the kouign-amann I like, but the inside is soft. Of course the glaze and cream filling complete the treat! He thought he'd discovered a new place, and I still haven't told him I'd been here years ago. It's fun to see my old review and see the croissant supreme was my top pick back then too!

I tried the pistachio and blueberry Trompe-l'œil fruit desserts. I've had similar desserts in San…read moreAntonio, Fort Worth, and Oklahoma City, so I have a good basis for comparison. While both desserts were beautifully presented, I felt they were overpriced for their size. Based on similar desserts I've enjoyed elsewhere, I think a more reasonable price would be around $9.99 for the blueberry and $12.99 for the pistachio. The pistachio dessert had a pleasant crunchy texture, but the pistachio flavor was too subtle and could have been much more pronounced. The blueberry dessert had excellent flavor, but it lacked the crisp outer shell that adds contrast to the texture. It seemed like it may not have been as fresh as it should have been, which could explain the softer exterior. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent customer service. Overall, while the presentation and service were impressive, I expected better value and texture for the price.

I love a good almond croissant and chocolate croissant, but of course by the time I decided to stop by in the afternoon, they were all gone. Next time I know to arrive earlier in the day! Not to be deterred, the vegetable quiche looked amazing, and it was delicious. The crust was clearly fresh and homemade. I also loved that the owner stayed on brand and carries Maison Perrier drinks. The Forever Strawberry is one of my favorite flavors. For those of you who prefer gluten-free options, they offer GF macarons! I'm not gluten-free, so I indulged in the coconut and Oreo macarons, and they were delicious too. One incredible deal they offer is a $10 lunch special that includes quiche, a drink, and chips. The owner was so nice, and the overall experience was wonderful. I will definitely be back!

This statement stood true until today. Violettes croissants are light, airy, and don't leave you feeling bogged down after eating (or inhaling) one. The vanilla eclair is also very good! I stopped here to pick up pastries for a few clients and the woman who helped me was very sweet and helpful through the process. I also got the spiced pear latte which was just okay. I was looking for a little more flavorful and found it to be more watery. Next time I'll skip the coffee and go for an extra pastry instead lol.

Not sure why people are giving this place five stars. Unless they're paying for reviews?…read more We arrived here, and the girl taking orders had zero knowledge of anything. Constantly had to refer to "calling her" dad to get information. Multiple things on the menu were not even available. Very "Mom and pop" and below average. Treated like it was a business someone's running out of their garage. Very unprofessional in 2026 in the city of Austin. Your menu doesn't even match what you really have? Customers can't rely on what they see online -- or even the in-store menu. That's disingenuous. We won't be back. Very disappointing.

The employee offered us a free sample, which was a good start. I also took a risk on a nest shaped pastry filled with lemon filling, and I think it was my favorite of them all! They have tables where you can eat your treats there, and wash your hands afterwards, which is important because there's almost no way to do it without getting sticky fingers. I ate two pieces there, and saved two more for the evening, which was a lot for one day, but it was sure a treat!
