The Bay Ridge thoroughfare of 86th Street might no longer have the shopping Mecca known as Century…read more21 but despite this there are a wealth of fast food options to enjoy by those who find themselves in the general vicinity for any reason. In addition to McDonalds, Burger King and Taco Bell we have the long resident Wendy's franchise. For many this is the preferred option but I myself try to give equal time to the mainstays when I choose to have this kind of fare for supper or a lunch hang with friends. While I am not someone who can consider themselves a regular based on the infrequency of visits, I can say that its maybe once every six weeks or so. I do find myself stopping here when I work the Elections on the dinner break because of the location and relative value of what I purchase. What draws me here is the "4 for $4" option or their "Biggie Bag. The latter having been the choice for the most part as it came with a sandwich, small fries, nuggets and a drink. This would run you between $5 and $6 depending on your sandwich choice. My usual here would be the Chicken BLT and spicy nuggets and a Sprite with limited ice. There are no options for the French fries and its just a small order of them. I find that this fills me up rather nicely and as mentioned its easy on the pocket during a time when everyone is watching the finances. This location has a WiFi signal and a spacious upstairs seating area and bathrooms. All are great things to find when when is popping in and deciding to sit down for a little bit as opposed to getting right back to the hustle. I can close by saying that many of the other options might appeal to you more than this but they are pricier and right now I'm looking to save whenever possible. This lets me indulge reasonably.

Rarely do I rate a place I've never actually been to. However in this case of someone bringing me 2…read moreof the best Italian heroes ( sangwiches) I think Ive ever had, I'm making an exception. I've eaten MANY Italian heroes all over northern NY & NYC and this has to be the best Ive ever had. This place is well established in the local community and I am sure someone has done a video or segment on TV about this place. The amount of food on a sandwich and the quality of their food is impeccable. No heroes loaded up with tomato and lettuce. Just plenty of the "good stuff". Don't give the prices a 2nd glance as these sandwiches have to weight 4-5 lbs each and a full ( 10"?) hero is plenty for 2 very hungry people. They have over 150 Signature sandwiches named after ( mostly) Italian celebrities. ( Fran Sinatra, Yogi Berra, Sophia Loren, etc) I was very satisfied with these 2: ---#119 EDDIE ARCARDO "Try This Thoroughbred"-- Chicken cutlet, salami, ham, olive oil, basil mix, LIONI FRESH MOZZARELLA, Sun-dried tomatoes, and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar ----#P1 THE ROSANNA SCOTTO "You'll Have A Good Day With This One" Ham, Salami, Pepperoni, Soppressata, Fresh Mozzarella, Roasted Peppers OMG! so loaded, so fresh, amazing bread. Home made roasted peppers, sundried tomatoes, AMAZING mozzarella! Be hungry & GO! Top notch!

Food: This is an old school Italian sub shop that makes over 100 different types of sandwiches…read more They are well known for their fresh mozzarella which is delicious. The subs are always packed with meat and fresh ingredients; the bread is delicious. Their shop also sells traditional Italian breads ($1.50 for an Italian loaf), sides, desserts, and groceries. They also do catering and long subs for parties and events. The number of choices of subs can be overwhelming! Service: Service was average, nothing bad but nothing great either. Ambiance: There is a small table that seats about 6 people in the shop if you want to eat there. The sub shop/counter is in the back, and the front is a small grocery store with Italian products. Overall, I would recommend this sandwich spot!

I ordered online. Half and half protein of barbacoa and chicken and when I got my bowl it was like…read more1 of each, not 1/2. Food was really fresh, way different than all the other chipotle's I've been to that has dry chicken, barely any meat, and still cheap out on. This bowl was a heavy bowl, there wasn't even that much rice but a lottt of protein. The only downside is that the white rice was slightly more moist than it should be but probably just a mistake of putting too much water when cooking. Also fast service despite looking quite busy when I went in.

I visited this Chipotle (86th Street between 3rd & 4th Ave) on December 28th at approximately 3:45…read morePM, and had a very disappointing experience. There was no line at all, and I was standing at the counter in the spot where you begin ordering your bowl. No one greeted me -- not even a simple "hello" or "I'll be right with you." Multiple staff members saw me and didn't acknowledge me. Then, two new customers walked in after me, and both of them were greeted immediately, while I continued to be ignored. I finally said, "Hey, hello, I'm waiting," and the employee responded, "He'll be with you in a minute." The person who was supposed to help me then continued doing whatever they were already doing without looking at me, acknowledging me, or giving any update. After that, I walked out. Basic acknowledgement matters. Guests shouldn't have to work for attention in an empty restaurant. I hope management addresses this, because experiences like this are discouraging and easily preventable. Especially for someone who was very hungry truly looking forward to enjoying a meal from Chipotle
