The Bay Ridge thoroughfare of 86th Street might no longer have the shopping Mecca known as Century 21 but despite this there are a wealth of fast food options to enjoy by those who find themselves in the general vicinity for any reason. In addition to McDonalds, Burger King and Taco Bell we have the long resident Wendy's franchise. For many this is the preferred option but I myself try to give equal time to the mainstays when I choose to have this kind of fare for supper or a lunch hang with friends. While I am not someone who can consider themselves a regular based on the infrequency of visits, I can say that its maybe once every six weeks or so. I do find myself stopping here when I work the Elections on the dinner break because of the location and relative value of what I purchase. What draws me here is the "4 for $4" option or their "Biggie Bag. The latter having been the choice for the most part as it came with a sandwich, small fries, nuggets and a drink. This would run you between $5 and $6 depending on your sandwich choice. My usual here would be the Chicken BLT and spicy nuggets and a Sprite with limited ice. There are no options for the French fries and its just a small order of them. I find that this fills me up rather nicely and as mentioned its easy on the pocket during a time when everyone is watching the finances. This location has a WiFi signal and a spacious upstairs seating area and bathrooms. All are great things to find when when is popping in and deciding to sit down for a little bit as opposed to getting right back to the hustle. I can close by saying that many of the other options might appeal to you more than this but they are pricier and right now I'm looking to save whenever possible. Popped in for the wednesday collab meal (opted out of the cherry syrup). All the sauces were good - first is a honey soy black pepper sauce, a spicy ketchup jam, vinegary ghost pepper sauce, and lastly a diluted scorpion pepper mayo sauce. Mixing the 2 spicy sauces makes it even better! The honey one is a bit sweet for me but still good. Reminds me of korean soy garlic sauce. The spicy tomato sauce one will be good with everything. I found the ghost pepper sauce the spiciest and also the most acidic. Scorpion pepper was too runny for me, wish it was more of a thick mayo sauce. Stopped in here with my friend to get the Netflix Wednesday meal. We ordered two and also asked for the frosty to be plain if possible (since we don't like Cherry). Worker was very much into the Wednesday show and the theming so she was sad she couldn't make it with the cherry to make it look bloody but understood and adjusted as we asked. Each meal came with 2 of the 4 sauces and we were hoping (but didn't ask) that we'd get one of each. We were happy to find that she did give us one of each sauce! Wendy's spicy nuggets are my favorite and they haven't changed. $10 for a frosty, fries, and 10 nuggets with specialty sauces, not bad. Oh man where do I start.... First of all this location is always busy so I empathize with the employees but management has got to start adding more team members cause this place is severely disappointing. On a good day, you go in store and wait maybe 15-20 mins for "fast food." Today's review is based on a Wendy's app mobile order. So when you order directly from the Wendy's app it schedules a pick up from a doordasher and you usually get the food within an hour. Today we got the food an hour and a half after ordering and it WAS AN ENTIRELY WRONG ORDER! The receipt taped to the bag said my correct order but inside there were items I never asked for! Nothing that I ordered was in the bag. It appears that they mixed up the bags when preparing it for the driver to pick up. I waited on hold for 30mins to speak to a Wendy's rep and was refunded but I would of much rather gotten my correct order and actually ate something I ordered. As for the quality of the food. This place is hit or miss! I definitely think the Wendy's in Caesar's Bay is much better than this location! Management needs to have a team just for mobile orders and another team for in store orders and maybe they can get orders out in a timely fashion and correctly! I'm done ordering from this place! Came here to grab some food since I was in the area picking up an online order at Sephora. We ordered a few items to feed a crowd because it's a cold snowstorm and we were helping friends moved. Yes, our friends decided to move on the day of the snowstorm and was at the house finishing packing and loading the U-haul truck. So we decided to grab everyone some early lunch (it was 11:30AM). They were short staff and seems like everyone in the area wanted Wendy's. It was all staff in the kitchen making food and bagging food- the one cashier lady is the person bagging the food. There is a wait as she is bagging and taking orders; so you would have to wait until she was free to take your order/payment before she quickly jump back into bagging food. They messed up one of our order- our fault for not checking and we left. We missed 1 burger and 1 bottle water for a 4for$4 (didn't want soda) order. read more

If you manage to fight past the gang of crackheads asking for change at the door here's what to expect, It literally doesn't matter if there's 20 people or 1 person you will be waiting an eternity, the whole staff is rude and act like your bothering them by ordering food! Save your money and time, don't go to this Wendy's. This is the worst Wendy's I ever went. I went to this Wendy's today, I ordered a 4 for $4, plus tax was $4.36. Because I don't want too many pennies, I wanted a nickel so I gave a cashier $5.01. She was supposed give me back $0.65 but somehow she gave me back $0.64, I told her the amount isn't right. And then she tried to lied to me and said she already gave me back one penny. I felt angry, I knew one penny is nothing but it's not about one penny, it's about a person's honest. Even one cent is nothing but you still don't have rights to cheat customers, and try to cheat their money, customers are absolutely have rights to give back what they are supposed to get. So I argued with her, I told her that she didn't give back one penny to me. But she insisted she did and she embarrassed me and said I don't know how to calculate and my brain has problems. On my receipt, it says the girl who rung me up was Christina. She is black, and wears a thick chain like necklace. She is about 5'5". She doesn't have a name tag on, so I'm assuming she is Christina. I was standing in front of her long enough for me to grab my phone and take this photo of her. She decides that it is more important to her to finish her conversation on the phone than serve customers. She is seen wearing gloves, but she is holding her phone with her gloves on...her phone is probably greasy from the food served, so I can't imagine her phone to be clean. She is touching money, she is touching her face and her phone and EVERYONE'S FOOD. Her attitude is completely nasty, as she was yelling out "HELLO?!?!!!!" to the guests whose orders were ready instead of calling out their names on the order. This is a late review I went when this place first opened up I lived right in the area and was excited because it was my fav out of all fast food between burger joints. It was all good. They shocked me with the whole name thing like starbucks and how nice it looked there. BUT I already knew it wasn't gonna last long. The attitudes of the workers became worst and worst the place started looking messy one time I came in and it was me and like couple of people eating inside already and I stood in front of the line only to be completely ignored while they were cracking up and talking bs to each other right in front of me eventually I had to say are you open and that's how she took my open. There's a couple more stories but It doesnt make a difference it just went downhill which sucks because it was my fave spot never went back again. This new location just opened recently and I couldn't wait to try it. I love Wendy's chicken nuggets and this location is close to the R train. The location has updated amenities and is very clean. The cashiers are not really polite and a bit rude even when you try to be polite. There are no lines to organize the different cashier lines so it can be a bit unorganized to place an order. Family day out. Decided to go to wendys to try the pulled pork sandwhich. We had ordered one spicy and one smoky as well as two kids meals. One with apple slices and a burger and one with chicken nuggets and fries. Upon looking in the bag, they had put two fries instead. Not that bad, honest mistake. We gave it back and he threw the fries away. Other bags opened and there were two spicy pulled pork sandwhiches. Okay. I had went back downstairs and asked for the smoky. Cashier was nice. Who doesn't enjoy being served barely edible fast food in a dilatory manner by surly, maladroit soon to be obsolescent cashiers?
