To Phillip B.
I am the owner of 317food.com, I spoke to you about the order. I do regret at how that transaction ended and that you are dissatisfied. But let's clear a few things up since you chose to show your dissatisfaction in a public forum.
You were treated in the same manner that you treated me. I appreciate every order from every customer, but I am not required to allow anyone to verbally abuse me. With that being said, I responded very poorly. I should not have ended the conversation the way I did, and for that I apologize.
You were upset that you paid for a large and were given a small. I explained to you that since we are not the restaurant and DO NOT prepare the orders, the best I could do is give you a refund. Especially since you waited 2 hours after getting your order, to inform me there was a problem.
I also did not want you to pay for something that you did not receive. So I offered you the difference in price as a credit, when that was not good enough, I offered you double the difference in price. That also, was not good enough. I then asked you "what CAN I do to make you happy" with this situation. To which you replied something similar to "go get me the dam smoothie that my daughter ordered, instead of ripping her off". So in reality, the only way to make you happy was to ask my driver to spend $10 of her money, and a half hour of her time, to fix a $2 mistake. (A mistake that was not hers, or 317FOOD.com's.) As well as give your daughter a free large smoothie, after she had already drank the mistake. I am sorry, but that is just too unreasonable. I offered several solutions to the problem. Unfortunately, on that night, you simply could not be satisfied.
I would like to add, that my drivers that have dealt with you, say you are very nice, as well as a very generous tipper. I think we may both have been having an "off" night, and turned an unfortunate situation into a worse one. I would like the opportunity to fix this. Please give me a call if you are interested in doing so. read more
