It did not taste fresh and authentic. Remarkably it has a high rating online, but I guess it just depends on who's doing the rating. I can imagine in a place like Midland Michigan, this would be very new and exotic without much to compare to. If you've ever tried Egyptian or Middle Eastern food, you won't be impressed . If it's totally new to you, then it might be a good experience.

I really wanted to support this family owned business, but the food was just very average…read more We've ordered regular portion of koshary to share, falafel wrap and chicken shawarma wrap, plus baklava to try, as they said it's made in house. They didn't have the skever for the meat, so we were a little hesitant, but ordered anyway. We paid for all that food $44, and left hungry. Portions are so small, it's hard for me to belive this place will survive mall food court with such a small portions for a lot of money. Koshary was very bland, no specific flavor at all. The garlic sauce was just very salty water without any garlic flavor. Both wraps were very small, and the falafel one was so dry, I was choking trying to eat it. Had to buy extra tahini to make it edible. $2+ for a very tiny portion of extra tahini. On top of that everything was too salty. I hoped for the baklava, but it went straight to trash can after my first bite. It had raisins in it. It overwhelmed the flavor, made it tasty raisiny instead of nutty. Also. the nuts were chopped in big pieces. I've had enough share of baklava living close to Dearborn, and this was the worst thing ever. I rarely throw anything, but this had to go. Awful. The owner seemed like a very nice person, but unfortunately with those prices and small amount of food, I can't give more stars. There is nothing expensive in those ingredients either, so this is surprising. If it only the taste was good... not either. Sorry

The food is made quickly and it's convenient to order on a busy day but the food is always disappointing. This last time we ordered take out (tonight) we both got build your own bowls. We got very similar bowls that had either chicken Shwarma or chicken 65. Both our bowls we had ordered lentils. We both came home exhausted and started to mix our food up when we realized there were no lentils in our food. We called and the guy insisted they are in there. He said he made it himself. We both literally dug into our entire meals and said there are no lentils. We both took maybe one bite of our meal. The guy said the lentils are really small. I'm sorry..so small I need to bring out a magnifying glass? There are no lentils in the bowl. I told him calmly but firmly we are sitting here and digging in our bowls and there are no lentils. He told me calmy and firmly the lentils are there in the middle. Theyre not. I then asked to speak to a manager but the guy just laughed at us and insisted they are in there and he will give us more next time. I dont appreciate being laughed at. I have a full bowl of food that I have a photo of and will post here. If yall can find the lentils let me know. He then told us to come back and he'll give us a scoop of lentils and im like are you joking!? We are exhausted after a long day and we aren't leaving the house again. At this point I just got mad. When it was clear we weren't getting anywhere with the guy laughing at us on the phone I disconnected. I don't make it a point to call and complain to businesses (i can count maybe like...two other times i have done this in my 30 some years of life) but surely there was a better way to deal with a dissatisfied customer. Two bowls of food that are missing a key ingredient. I won't be coming back and do not encourage other ppl to eat here.

Stopped in for dinner while running errands in the area. Pita Way has been on my list for a while…read morebut it's a large chain and I usually steer clear. We were instantly greeted and everyone was very friendly. The menu is kinda intimidating with so many options and everything having unique names. The staff said they'd help us walk through it all, which was helpful. There are literally 26 different things you can add to your order. My wife ordered a bowl and I order a pita, which they call a "sandweech" for some reason. The portions were large but it somehow got pretty pricey, even though I felt their menu was very reasonable. We each added a fountain drink and then I asked for a side of garlic, assuming it would come with a bunch of pita bread to dip. They asked if we wanted chips or pita, and we said pita. We got 1 piece of pita to share and basically a tub of garlic. It was comical and disappointing. I'm not sure if this is normal or we needed to pay for more pita. We each had half of a pita to dip in a jug of garlic. Overall, the food seemed fresh and it tasted great. The dining area was very clean and the parking was simple. Our only complaint was the side not coming with more pita. After looking at the menu from our table, I realized they could have made ours both a combo, since we ordered drinks and one side, and we could get another side as well, but they never suggested that. We'd probably come back in the future but there are a ton of pita places around town, especially locally owned options.

They'd only been open for a week or two, but the service was smooth and friendly. There is some space to dine in but if you have a large group it might be best to take it to go. The menu is simple yet kind of overwhelming as many things are customizable. They have bowls, wraps, quesopitas, sides, salads, and soups. You can make any of the entrees into a combo for an additional $5, which gets you a drink and a side. I went with the fattoush salad with dark meat chicken and feta, and Nate got the "sandweech" (wrap) combo with gyro meat. It was a bit tough to order as it was really loud in there with a lot of beeping/alarms going off and a lot of people talking all at once, so be aware if you are hard of hearing because I think that would be really difficult. However, the employees were all friendly and helpful with suggestions. I was asked some questions I didn't really know the answers to like if I wanted oil on my salad (after the dressing had been added)... so I just asked what the recommendation was. The food is prepared in front of you and everything seemed fresh. I was impressed by the size of the salad - we definitely could have split it. The chicken was juicy and seasoned well, and I loved the crunchy pita. Nate's gyro sandweech was also delicious, with plenty of sauce and tender meat. But the star of the show for me was the hummus and pita. This is the best hummus I've ever had in my entire life. It was SO creamy and flavorful. I could eat the entire container by myself. The pita was crispy and perfect to dip. They have some weekly specials that I'm interested in checking out (like Tuesdays when you can get two Dearborn sandwiches for only $10). You can order online ahead of time and they have a rewards program. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and more of that hummus!

Our host was super kind, helpful with the menu and had a sense of humor. Grape leaves - I believe it was cold if I remember, and it's a softer/mushy texture. The host called it "Turkish Sushi." It was good and different! Appetizers- phenomenal. Fresh, hot, flavorful. We had cheese served on a hot stone, it was beautiful. Nothing was over or under seasoned. Everything was cooked perfectly. Nice fry, nice bake, nice sizzles. Salmon was cooked just right. Calamari was fried great and had a good crunch. Feta borek reminded me of crab cheese ragoons. I love the way it's prepared though, even bites and good flaky crunch. The shell is light and wasn't greasy. Baklava was delicious. Rice pudding was delicious. Drinks were on point. 10/10 will be back again!

Zeytin serves authentic Turkish cuisine along with other middle eastern and American food. A table favourite was the Pepper Delight. Basically, chopped red and green peppers combined with walnuts and tomato. I highly recommend both the Rice pudding and the Fried calamari. Nice big plate I had almost all to myself. The service was friendly and somewhat attentive. My friend, Darius, ordered the Chicken shish kebab and the pita was dry, cold and stale. They immediately returned with fresh, hot, moist bread. The wait for the initial order and drink refills was a bit longer. The dining area is large, yet cozy. The eatery has a very embracing, warm ambiance and it's a great gluten-free zone. The guy that suggested we stop here eats vegan. 01/26
