Don't come here. I think we've ordered twice, maybe max three times takeout here. Everytime we order food here I just feel massively disappointed. The food is made quickly and it's convenient to order on a busy day but the food is always disappointing. This last time we ordered take out (tonight) we both got build your own bowls. We got very similar bowls that had either chicken Shwarma or chicken 65. Both our bowls we had ordered lentils. We both came home exhausted and started to mix our food up when we realized there were no lentils in our food. We called and the guy insisted they are in there. He said he made it himself. We both literally dug into our entire meals and said there are no lentils. We both took maybe one bite of our meal. The guy said the lentils are really small. I'm sorry..so small I need to bring out a magnifying glass? There are no lentils in the bowl. I told him calmly but firmly we are sitting here and digging in our bowls and there are no lentils. He told me calmy and firmly the lentils are there in the middle. Theyre not. I then asked to speak to a manager but the guy just laughed at us and insisted they are in there and he will give us more next time. I dont appreciate being laughed at. I have a full bowl of food that I have a photo of and will post here. If yall can find the lentils let me know. He then told us to come back and he'll give us a scoop of lentils and im like are you joking!? We are exhausted after a long day and we aren't leaving the house again. At this point I just got mad. When it was clear we weren't getting anywhere with the guy laughing at us on the phone I disconnected. I don't make it a point to call and complain to businesses (i can count maybe like...two other times i have done this in my 30 some years of life) but surely there was a better way to deal with a dissatisfied customer. This is only my second time here (not from the area)....and I had to update my review. I had to have a chalupa before I leave the state....so glad I did! I had the build your own chalupa with potato Marsala and the hottest heat. This chalupa was the best I have ever had. The heat was perfect for me because I live super spicy. I got my order to go and the workers were extremely polite. Tucked away in a small shopping plaza....but the restaurant is very roomy. While we could've used those, a friendly man behind the main counter across the restaurant greeted us right away and asked if we needed help. This restaurant took me completely by surprise. I made a trip to visit my cousin in Saginaw and we were most definitely hungry by the time I arrived. I found this place a few minutes around the corner and I figured it would be a great spot to try. I'm happy to say that my intuition did not fail me, because Bytes Fusion Grill is packed with flavorful menu items. This is a Pakistani owned restaurant, which is what the food is inspired by. The menu was scanned with a QR code and there were plenty of customization options when it came to bowls. Mine had a variety of different vegetables and sauces then topped with juicy tender lamb pieces. The portions are extraordinary and I didn't pay an arm and a leg for it. I generally do not finish rice bowls in one sitting, but this was so delicious I could not resist the urge to finish it. Both my cousins also loved their food as well. All I can say is the flavor is WOW!! Absolutely delicious. It was a little confusing when walking in and ordering. A customer walked us through it. I had a great experience at Bytes! The restaurant itself is very clean and comfortable, and food is halal. We went on a weekday evening and were the only ones dining in, but there were lots of takeout orders. Service was quick; you place your order on a tablet and they bring your food out to you. The food was excellent. The loaded curry fries were definitely my favorite. Loved the variety of sauces and proteins available to add. The quesadilla was worth the price and tasted great; I was pleasantly surprised with the guacamole, it was really good! Will definitely be coming back again soon. read more

I stopped in Saginaw for the night and locates Bytes Fusion Grill. The food is very tasty and a great option for a wide variety of diets including vegetarian, gluten free, etc. I am allergic to gluten/wheat and don't tolerate spicy food and I had a great meal. I found the online ordering very easy and the staff was very polite. Food was ready when it should be. I was very surprised that more people weren't in there given how good the food was. I suspect that the pricing may be a bit of a deterrent to some folks. Don't get me wrong, there was enough food for multiple meals under $20. Management- may want to consider adding a smaller portion size under $10 to draw more folks in. It looks like you have a buffet, I would have that available on weekends and advertise. You have a great amount of space and you seem well equipped, space wise to accommodate buffets and large crowds. I'm not sure if you do more business in the week during lunch, etc because I'm not from the area but I would encourage you to advertise a bit more and definitely keep up the online presence. read more

What a wonderful place! Whenever I see "fusion" I get weary, as most places can't combine several cultural meals successfully. However, this is not the case at Bytes! For starters, Cassandra was one of the BEST servers I've had in life. She was so attentive, made great suggestions, and constantly checked on us. She also told us about the rewards program and about delivery options as well. She literally took our experience over the edge! The food is so great! The Samosas were on point! Better than some I've had at Indian restaurants. The Lamb and Beef Shawarmas were out of sight! We also tried the Puffs for appetizers and it's impossible to explain the goodness I experienced! 10/10 would recommend! I liked the fact the you can choose a meat or veggie style and then get it however you want- burrito, rice bowl, salad bowl, etc. You could try a ton of combinations, especially customizing them with different sauces and stuff. I chose the chicken 65 in the salad bowl. It was great, the ingredients were fresh and tasty, and there was a lot of flavor . Very filling! I tried a bite of the shawarma also, and it was good. That said, the people working here have no idea how to run a restaurant. It's confusing when you get in, the place is HUGE and there are only 1-2 customers inside at any time. It should be the size of the tropical smoothie down the road. Lots of potential here but some changes need to be made. Shrink the menu. Order in one place and not two. Expensive and chocked full of garlic. Let's not mention the wait for an empty restaurant, the delivery people were in and out. But our wait was 15-20 minutes. We ordered 3 meals to take out, a chicken shawarma burrito, a lamb bowl, a shawarma chicken bowl, and three fries. $50. This is a lot for a place that is set up much like a chipotle. The fries had the same seasoning as the meals. And everything tasted of garlic...a lot of garlic. The lamb had dry hard pieces that had to be picked out. And then your "add more" items, which you get up to five for free. I've been to Bytes four or five times over the last couple of years (I live 2 hours away from Saginaw). Indian/Mexican fusion sounds strange, but the food is excellent, very well flavored and with the complexity that I expect from those two cuisines. I've always ordered something different and am never disappointed (and I'm easy to disappoint). It's clean, the owner's a good guy and everyone has always treated us very well. This is quickly becoming one of my favourite lunch spots; which is surprising since despite driving by all the time I'd never seen it until a few months ago. Like many great eateries, this place is located in an unassuming strip mall on a relatively busy road. Blink and you will miss it. It is almost always empty; another surprise to me. Don't let the lack of customers fool you; the food is great and easily customizable so there is a little something for everyone. It is so easy to get a delicious vegetarian meal here that does not involve cheese. The menu is an unexpected combination of Indian, Mediterranean, and Tex-Mex. The flatbreads and wraps are great but what really has me wanting to go back is the all-day breakfast! While they have the familiar American breakfast, I was drawn to the Indo-Pak options. There was a little confusion when our server was describing Halwa Puri; I thought she was giving me a choice of three items but the dish actually comes with all of them. I thought I'd ordered the chickpea masala (Lahori Cholay) as well but apparently the Halwa Puri already comes with a chickpea curry. Everything was delicious and properly seasoned. I had a few bites of my friend's omelette as well and it was nice and spicy! With flatbread and three items, I was shook when the bill came to $7.99. I thought there must be some mistake, but our server insisted that was the price. I was very full and everything was fresh so it didn't feel right to pay so little. We were in town for a family emergency. Yesterday, we tried another place that wasn't great, so today we saw Bytes and decided that it couldn't be worse than yesterday. It was fabulous! My husband had a grilled chicken rice bowl and I had a Build Your Own bowl. The owner was very accommodating while I asked questions about sauces and whatnot. The portions are large, the flavors are great (how did this place end up in Saginaw?), and the service is charming. If you are puzzling over what to order, no matter what you choose, definitely go with the garlic sauce! We had both versions of the plain lassi and they were equally excellent. We highly recommend Bytes. The only reason why I didn't give them 5 stars was because the ladies' room needed attention to the fixtures (ick). That can be easily remedied with cleanser and a brush, but it is important. read more
