I came in today because I had been meaning to get my skateboard some new grip tape. The board was looking a little dirty and I was nervous about doing it by myself. Super glad I've discovered this gem of a skate shop! I totally recommend this place

Noticed they were having the food drive then wasted no time & decided to jump in on the action. They have these food drives twice a week. Things are expensive nowadays so if you're in the area on fridays... stop on by! Why not? If you don't need the food then maybe you might know someone who does. Perhaps, someone who isn't Mobil, an elderly or maybe even someone who isn't as fortunate. You can bless anyone who might have a hungry tummy. #doagooddeedfortheday #itsfreefood It was such a pleasure meeting the lovely couple who run the Garage. Bless their souls. As soon as I stepped into the place I got an idea of how much they are involved with the youth & the community + all the well deserved recognition....ART GALORE! OUTSIDE: Can't miss the art on the building. Along with the bus that's usually parked in front. It's located on Whittier blvd / Atlantic on the same side as the sketcher store. If you pass the sketcher store, ya went too far INSIDE: you'll see art that the kids have made, shirts, bags, everything that has to do with skating, stickers, boards and so so so much more. This spot deserves a 10 Hope to be part of another food drive. Ps. THANK YOU FOR THE T-SHIRTS MY BROTHER REALLY LIKED HIS

I had gone to Furnace Skateshop earlier and they weren't as friendly and as helpful as the service I got here. Shout out to Jose for being patient and knowledgeable in helping me build my first skate. I have been in business for many years and have met thousands of people throughout my life, but every once in a while, you come across someone who leaves a lasting impression on your heart. Damien was one of those people. From the moment he greeted me, he treated me with kindness, respect, and genuine professionalism. Every word was spoken with courtesy: "Yes, sir," "Thank you, sir," and "It's a pleasure to help you, sir." His manners, patience, and willingness to assist were truly remarkable. As I spoke with him, I couldn't help but think back to my own teenage years. Damien reminded me of a time when respect, humility, and strong values were the foundation of a young person's character. Seeing such a respectful and hardworking young man today touched me deeply. In fact, I had tears in my eyes because it gave me hope and reassurance that there are still wonderful young people in this world. His parents deserve tremendous credit for raising such an outstanding young man, and Dick's Sporting Goods should be extremely proud to have Damien representing their company. He is a shining example of what customer service should be and what good character looks like. Damien, thank you for your kindness, your professionalism, and your respect. You made my shopping experience unforgettable. Young men like you are rare, and I hope your managers recognize what a valuable asset you are to their team. May God bless you and your future. Keep working hard, stay humble, and never change. The world needs more young people like you.

While I was there I was overhearing a young man named Kevin (based on his name badge/lanyard) and im assuming he is a manager or lead... becuase he was speaking to another young lady about his staff and complaining about them. I understand I am a customer but when I hear management openly complaining about staff I think it is so unprofessional and some things needs to be kept in the office. Also this same person seemed to get a message over their ear piece and sounded so nice and cheerful and immediately looked annoyed and started to talk crap about the employee who asked the question. This was so unprofessional and Kevin if you are reading this, maybe dont be a lead/manager if you are going to get annoyed with your staff, no one works at Dicks and makes it their career, its retail it is not that serious. If an employee asks you a question maybe help them instead of talking crap behind thier back. To the young lady who walked me over to Nike, youre doing amazing and thank you for your assistance. I hope they treat you kindly and dont work under Kevin. I wish there was a comment box or someone I could speak to at Dicks when it happened but their survey link on the receipt didnt work sooooo i guess this will have to do. Kevin, do better.
