Haven't been on roller skates since I was 10 years old, but I bought a cheap pair online so I can skate with my friends. Went here yesterday to have the wheels adjusted, & the gentleman that helped me was very nice & informative, & let me know it was actually my wheel bearings that were causing issues with the wheels rolling. They have an awesome selection of custom skates, designs, wheels, etc thanks again for all your help:) read more

Outstanding experience with Pete and Pre! I was referred to SK8 Fanatics by Matt at Intuition Skate to repair my husband's skates. Unfortunately, it was not the simple fix that I thought, but Pete, with his mad skills, found a way to make the new buckle attachment work and installed it so well to make the skate safe for many, many miles to come. Pete was patient, explaining the process along the way, and his shop was a comfortable, interesting place to wait. He has the most incredible and extensive inventory of skates and accessories, plus the hand-painted boots, by a local artist, are truly remarkable. Pete and Pre are worth the drive and solid to do business with - highly recommend them and the shop!! read more

ONE STOP SHOP !!! They carry everything your skating heart desires! My partner and I walked in this morning to get him his very first pair of custom quads. He is finally transitioning from in-line skates and has made the move guys!! Pete, who happens to be the owner, helped us out tremendously today. I have never made a custom skate before so we both didn't know how to start. He seriously broke down every aspect for us at the counter. Pete spent quality time with us going over all of my partners questions and didn't make us feel out of place in any way. He gave us the type of customer service that I look for when I'm splurging on something I love. There is also a shed in the back of the shop that he said he had in his backyard when he started this company before he opened his store. He has it in the shop now as a reminder of his beginnings. I loved it and I love to see how he has grown his business! Today was our first time here and it will not be our last. This place is our go to now for our skates and I can't wait to spread the word to my fellow skaters!! I was also able to purchase my glow in the dark luminous wheels, that have been out of stock recently in the color I wanted. Can't wait to go home and switch my stock ones out! This place was so welcoming and I felt like I was at home. I love this shop. read more

One of my favorite activities was skating in the parking lot and on my neighbor block with my cousins and siblings on a sunny day after school and on the weekends. Sometimes we walk away from what brings us so much joy. I had a great time chatting and going over some forgotten basics before making my purchase. Nothing like knowledgeable people who are also BLACK OWNED!!!! Congrats on 15+ years in my old home community. I look forward to breaking my skates in and becoming the pro I need to be in staying above ground in my new wheels read more

I've been to multiple skate shops, and I can't put into words how rad this shop is. The inventory they have is absolutely mind blowing. This is important because stepping your foot into multiple boots before you buy one is mission critical. Especially when you're going to be spending over $1000.00 on a quality boot. The idea of paying for a boot and walking out with a custom set up the same day as possibility here in itself is worth the 2.5 hours I drove to get here from San Diego. Customer service is something they prioritize and I can't tell you how sweet it was to walk in have them size me up for my second boot. The years of experience in this shop is so comforting since the sizing between the Riedell boot line is so different. (Going from a 336 to a 172 and I had to size down) Quick notes: - They have 2 spots in the front shop for parking - They're going to have the inventory for you to try a boot before you purchase anything - They have every accessory and color you can think of - They are willing to put in the work to make sure your order is exactly how you like it in a very timely manner Highly recommend this place! @neeks93 on insta are read more

I had very badly stripped a screw on my plates and even though I knew I could probably get someone closer to me to get it out, I felt like the people here would put more care into it and would have the expertise/experience to do so without damaging any other parts. I was right! They were so careful not to get my light-colored suede boot dirty and took the time to carefully drill into and then extract the screw. Price for the service was very reasonable and I could not be happier. I was really impressed with the amount of care they put into a seemingly small, inexpensive task and this gives me a lot of confidence that they would put the same care and effort into putting together a pair of custom skates. They have a really wide selection of wheels, plates, and boots, as well as deals on complete skates. They also take orders for Riedell Color Lab and will size you for the boots as well. I'll certainly be back when I'm ready for a custom pair! read more

Exceptional customer service and great prices. I caught a sell and got some Sure Grip skates that were in my cart on Amazon for half the price. Highly recommended and the plus for me is they a black owned business. The owner is there hands on assisting customers making you feel right at home. As we approach 1 year of pandemic, the women in the Santa Clarita community came together to SKATE! After moving to my second home in the SCV, I could not locate my skates. Pete was very helpful and transparent in helping me pick a skates and wheels best suited for me.

SK8 Fanatics Custom Roller Skates is the first place that comes to mind whenever, I think about buying some new custom skates. The owners of this shop are OG skate fanatics themselves. They understand the skate culture and equipment you need for the type of roll you want to experience. SK8 Fanatics is the best place for new and rental skaters to go when they want to up grade their skate game. I recommend that you select and purchase a comfortable shoe/boot that you want to convert. Take it to skate fanatics to see if it is the type of shoe they can convert to a secure roller skate for you. They will work with you and your budget for the perfect fit. They did it for me and my sons and I know they will do the same for YOU! Get your roll on with SK8 Fanatics. Keep Going! read more

Been coming here since 2009 (before Yelp was popular), they've been customizing my skates and skates for my kids (who grew up skating) since then. We wouldn't go anywhere else! I'm so glad to have gotten this recommendation from a family member. I got the exact level of care I needed for this purchase. The fit, the support, the accessories all in one stop. I love it when things are easy and I walk away with my needs met. Seriously, I couldn't have asked for a better experience as a first time buyer and brand new sk8ter. A skate business so deserving of your support. The experts at SK8 Fanatics are kind, unpretentious, and really want you to feel educated and well setup to get out there and do your skate thing. I also love the shops set up for COVID safety. Under a shady pop-up, customers line up outside. When it's your turn, a SK8 Fanatics employee fetches you and is your personal helper while you shop. Plus - their door is actually a huge garage door so there's plenty of breeze and open air in the shop itself. I purchased a set of wheels, new toe stops, bearings, and a skate tool. The employee helping me out was more than happy to answer all my questions and even put my new wheels/stops on for m Spend your money here! Today I decided to visit this skate shop since I started my roller skating journey. When I first pulled up to the shop, I waited a little before going inside but thankfully they had some chairs and umbrellas provided while you waited to enter. Since I came a little after they opened I probably waited about 20 mins or so since there were a few customers already inside. Once it was my turn, I was automatically greeted by an associate named Pre. He asked me politely what I came in the store for and mentioned I was looking for a cleaner for some bearings. He mentioned that they were sold out of them but did ask how long I had them for. When I mentioned that it hasn't been for that long, he told me that I could just clean them up with a air compressor. He has asked me if I had my skates on me (which I did in my car) and was nice enough to tell me to grab them and clean them up a bit. He also let me know about dirty bearings and when I should actually take time to clean them up. While Pre was cleaning them, I was also able to ask him some questions about trucks and skates. Even though I felt like I was asking so much since I am a beginner skater roller skater (I'm a in-line blader) he did not hesitate and had an answer to everything I asked. He was also very knowledgeable about different skate brands and explained the best skates I should purchase for my buck. With that being said, I did end up leaving with just a new set of Luminous glow and the dark wheels (which by the way they have a great selection with many colors available). My trip was definitely very successful to say the least! I may not have gotten what I originally came for but I was still able to get a little more information on roller skates from the different brands to look into all the way to the little details & materials when looking for a new pair of skates. I also would like to add that this is the third roller skate shop I have visited this past month. The staff here is truly the best. I didn't feel that intimidation being the beginner that I am. They were all super kind, friendly, and definitely informative when it comes to roller skates! Would definitely recommend this place to my friends and to anyone that wants to get into roller skating! read more

!!!!THIS IS THE REVIEW YOU ARE LOOKING FOR!!!!! To start off, if I could rate this establishment a whole 10 stars, I would give them 11. Here's why : 1. CUSTOMER SERVICE. Their customer service is AMAZING. All partners in this establishment take their time to greet you, and if they can't get to you right away, they acknowledge you and let you know that they will get to you soon. That means a lot because some places will just look at you and not acknowledge you making you feel uncomfortable but HERE, nope. You get a "Hey" "Hello" "How's it going" and in these weird times, it makes it even more nice to be greeted and acknowledged as warmly as they do. SO THANK YOU FOR THAT SK8 Fanatics. 2. THEY KNOW THEIR STUFF. If you are new (like me) to the skating scene, they'll walk you through sizing, comfort ability, different styling, and just the basics you wouldn't even know to ask. Patrick helped me pick out my skates, and even took the time to show me every skate I asked to see, along with tying me up, and answering all 5,000 of my questions to the T. When it comes to wheels, bearings, toe-grips ANYTHING they have an answer for you, and they will suggest what will best suit you according to your style and your comfort level. 3) Selection. They have an amazing selection. especially with every other skate shop being sold out, they have an amazing QUALITY selection here in this hidden gem of an establishment. 4) Diversity Inclusion. Let me start off by saying I am a very picky consumer and I like to be very choosy with who I give my money too. In other words, I like to spend my money at places that treat me with respect regardless of my ethnicity. Being a POC (Filipino) It's nice to come to an inclusive and widely diverse establishment that is welcoming towards EVERYONE! Nobody feels uncomfortable, but everyone feels included!!! Everybody is treated with amazing service no matter what ethnicity you are and in these crazy times we're living in THAT SPEAKS VOLUMES! I have a lot of respect for this establishment, Pete you're AMAZING, along with your partners who make this environment so inclusive, inviting, and filled with all around respect and GOOD VIBES! So if you are looking for an all around great establishment to buy anything 'SK8' come give these guys a try, and I promise you it'll be the only place you'll ever go. From now on, you guys have my business for all my Sk8 need ALWAYS. Thanks you guys, Maraming Salamat read more

Buying instore is more expensive than buying online for instore pickup. I bought a pair of Riedell 172 OG Roller Skate Set + Aerobic Outdoor Wheels. Total came out to $837.90 vs $825.77 online. Will gladly update this review if somebody can explain the price difference. read more
