Are cars no longer being checked properly? I also got an oil change and didn't receive my updated sticker to see when to come back. Super dissapointed with the service now I never really know what my car needs done when the workers can't even correctly check the vehicle or care enough to. Just lazy work.

Called Subaru, talked to Dan Peeples -- he told me to take it to Autozone to have the codes read before resetting. I also took my car for evaluation to an independent not authorized Subaru Service Shop -- a mistake. They charged for the evaluation. Said I needed a rebuilt transmission and never called back. Dan and I were in communication for a week on my car -- stating I could drive it as long as the hot oil light did not come on. When it did, he said: "stop driving and have it towed in". Within 24 hrs of having my car at Mike Shaw's, Dan called me back with a diagnosis and cost. I picked my car up that afternoon -- transmission repaired. Test drove it to Winter Park -- not only did the car perform outstanding but I got 30.5 mpg driving to the mountains with a 2011 Subaru. My worst fear was that the car was not repairable at a reasonable price and NEW CAR. Now I'm confident for another 100K miles. Dan and his team are incredible. And I have confidence that Subaru and Mike Shaw will stand behind the repair work. I am more than satisfied and glad to know that there is a friendly, quality-minded, excellent Subaru-dealership/service for my car. Recently moved to Denver. I brought my Forester in because I suspected a wheel bearing was going bad. I also heard another…read morenoise, which a second shop later confirmed was related to the same wheel bearing issue. At Simply Subaru, instead of diagnosing the issue I came in for, they immediately tried to upsell me on a list of "problems" such as dirty antifreeze that supposedly meant I needed a new radiator, A/C leaks, and several dirty filters, including the cabin air filter I had replaced just a month and a half earlier. Only after all that did they claim my brakes were unsafe. They told me I had just 1 millimeter of pad in the front and 2 millimeters in the rear, and said they could not road test or investigate the wheel bearing until those were addressed. I declined their services, but they still tried to charge me even though they never diagnosed the actual issue I brought the car in for. I had to push back multiple times before they finally agreed to drop the charge. Once home, I measured the brake pads myself using calipers. I found 6.25 millimeters in the front and 3.29 millimeters in the rear, just beginning to hit the squeal indicator. I have photos to prove it. A few days later, I took the car to another local shop. They confirmed the issue was in fact a bad wheel bearing and replaced it. They also measured the brakes and found 5.73 millimeters in the front and 3.01 millimeters in the rear. They recommended replacing the rear pads and rotors soon, since the rotors were below spec, but said the front pads were at about 40% left and rotors, while also below spec to be turned, were not urgent and could wait tell the pads were changed to be replaced. They reviewed Simply Subaru's report and said most of it was exaggerated or unnecessary, clearly intended to increase the bill. They inspected the filters and noted that the cabin air filter looked almost new and did not need replacement. The engine air filter was a little dirty, but not in urgent need of service. I am sure others who do not know much about cars have been taken advantage of by this shop. All I can say is, do not take your vehicle here.

Very disappointed....Thinking I would take one of my show cars to…read more them to see how they would treat it ....BIG MISTAKE. The car was totally detailed before it was delivered. Precise instructions were provided along with all the necessary hardware. Picking up the car I found the body was filthy, along with bird droppings on the hood and rear hatch window, no protective paper on the driver side floor mat resulting in a grease stain. Further inspection I noticed the front and rear body panels had water/splashes ?? The passenger side door was not fully closed and stuck in a locked position. I provide a 5 qt container of oil to be used , but instructed to use a little under 4 qts when I verified the dip stick it didn't reach the min. and was verified and a picture was taken by their employee. They suggested the valve cover was leaking ( not the case) The damage is yet to be determined.

The old adage is that when it comes to service, quality or price (value), you can only have 2 of 3. But Simply Euro is breaking the mold. They identified and fixed a worn motor mount issue on my Audi Q5, and have been great with preventative maintenance on a Porsche Cayenne. They're trustworthy - great about only doing what's necessary and have pulled up a CarFax to check maintenance history and make sure we're only changing fluids that are actually due. Top that off with great service from service managers like Joseph, and you have a winning combination. They've even offered to call me a Lyft when I needed to drop my car off and get to work. Save yourself some $$$ and avoid the Audi/BMW/VW/Porsche dealers. P.S. These guys give back to the local community too - they do a great promo every December where they offer a free oil change for donating a toy and have donated thousands of toys to kids in need.

Long review ahead (TL;DR: We do NOT recommend Hannah's Mastertek because Mike, the owner, has…read moreterrible communication and caused just as many problems as he fixed.) On Wed 9/11, our car broke down and we had it towed to Hannah's Mastertek because it's the closest auto/body shop to us. Mike, the owner, didn't call us when it arrived. I think the car must've arrived at the shop not too far off from closing time, but I still think the professional thing to do would've been to let us know that the car got there okay. On Thu 9/12 we flew out of town, and my husband was playing phone tag with Mike all day. On Fri 9/13 my husband finally got ahold of Mike, who told him we needed a new engine. We gave Mike the go-ahead to start that process later in the day. They're closed on weekends (strange for an auto/body shop), so we didn't get to talk to Mike again until Mon 9/15 upon our return. He told my husband that the replacement engine should come by Thu 9/18. That week, things seemed to be fine. My husband went out of town, but I stayed home. On Tue 9/23 I started playing phone tag with Mike, and when I eventually reached him, he said it could be ready that evening or the next day. I requested to have the car fixed by that evening because I would be going out of town again the next day and still needed to drop off our pet at the pet hotel. Later that day, he called saying it wouldn't be ready until the next day, but that he would come in at 7am and have it ready by 8. On Wed 9/24 I called Mike around 9am and had to call again around 10 to actually reach him, and he said he needed more time. It sounded like it would be ready by the time I needed to leave, and I left the house around 10:50 to physically check on the car. At 11:00 when I walked in, he said the car was not ready. I let him know that I needed to leave within the next 15 minutes and when he said he needed more time, I reminded him that he's the one who said it would be ready. He did not apologize. I asked if he had a rental car, and he said that he did, but it had no plates. After a few mins as I frantically looked for a rental myself, he offered me his truck instead. I had left him know that it would be about a 45 minute drive out to the pet hotel, but 3 minutes before I arrived, he called asking if I was on my way back. He said the car was ready (go figure), but after we hung up, I decided I wouldn't have enough time to get the car and drop it off at home before my flight. I called him back a little later to say that I'd need to leave the car at the shop and my husband would pick it up when he came back. He cut me off right away to tell me again that the car was ready and I had to talk over him to tell him the new plan. He said that was fine, but apparently while I was in the air, Mike called my husband to tell him the car was ready to be picked up. The man doesn't listen! On Mon 9/30 when my husband went to pick up the car, Mike admitted that the replacement engine didn't actually come until Mon 9/22, which would explain the delay. Mike refused to negotiate the cost with us. The same day, my husband had to buy a replacement battery, and after installing it, the "Check Charging System" light was still on, even though it should have reset right away. Mike had told my husband that he tested the electrical and that everything was fine, but clearly, it's not. As of today, not only that "Check Charging System" light still on, the "Check Engine" light comes on, the "Tire Pressure Sensor" isn't working, and part of the car's electronic display turns off randomly while driving. 0/10 do not recommend because Mike wasn't communicative and honest with us, rushed around and caused more issues, and now, we have to go spend extra money to fix his mistakes somewhere else.

This information should make you very suspicious about doing business with Mike Hannah the owner of Hannah's Mastertek Automotive Service. My son was driving his car on a Friday afternoon, a few moments after pulling away from a stop he told me his car quit pulling and the engine just revved. He was able to coast into an apartment complex and into a parking spot. After setting the brake, he told me he ran shifter through P, R and D, with no engagement. He shut off the engine, the car would not re-start. He said he could just hear the starter making noise and the engine not cranking. My son had Hannah's do some minor work to his car once and they were close by so I called Mike Hannah the owner to discuss the issue with my son's car. I had a hunch the flex plate was broke off of the crank shaft. That was why the starter would not engage the engine. I told Mike my thoughts. Mike invited me to have the car towed to his shop, they would diagnose the issue and give me an estimate for $180. The car is a 05 Honda Accord 2.4l engine and auto trans. The car was towed to Hannah's the next Tuesday. Mike called late the following Friday afternoon. He told me his tech had diagnosed the problem as a broken timing chain. I was speechless. I questioned him on his procedure and he told me his tech removed the valve cover and engaged the starter cranking over the engine and he could see that the cam was not turning. I asked him if the crankshaft pully was turning and he said, yes. He said when his technician cranked the engine with the starter, the crank shaft pully was turning. He said the engine was spinning fast with no compression. Mike said, that sound was what my son heard. Mike said the engine in the car is an interference engine and was now junk. Mike said he could get me a used engine for $2200.00 plus labor. We agreed the car was not worth putting a used engine in it. I asked him what his diagnostic fee was, he said $180. We discussed trading the car to him in leu of the $180 fee and he would dispose of it for me. I told Mike I would discuss this with my son and get back to him on Monday. That evening I was distraught with angst and frustration. My son told me and I verified with him that the car was running after he coasted to a stop at the apartment complex. My son has raced cars since he was 15 and has been around cars his whole life. I believed my son, and I was still on the page that the flex plate was broken. Mike either lied to me or he didn't verify his technicians' word and work. I called Mike Monday morning and asked him this direct question. Did you personally see the crankshaft pully turning while your technician was cranking over the engine? He said, "Yes." I then asked him that when my son got there that afternoon to take care of the diagnostic fee, if he could engage the starter while my son was looking under the hood to see that the crank shaft pully was turning. He said, sure, I can do that for you. I told him that my son would be there later that afternoon and hung up. TEN minutes later I get a call from Mike Hannah, he was harsh and in a hurry. He told me to get my son's car off of his property. I tried to ask him why but couldn't get a word in. Mike said again that the car needed to be taken away and mumbled something about it being worth $500 running. He then said. "Take it to a different shop if you want to but get it out of here as soon as possible." He hung up on me. I called back 40 minutes later and Mike answered. He was calmed down and let me speak. I asked him what we owed him and he said, "nothing." I told him I would have the car towed out of there later that afternoon. He said, "OK", and that was it. I had the car towed to Point S Auto in Aurora. They listened to me, and their guy did the proper diagnostic work and verified what I thought was the issue all along. The flexplate was broken. A few days later, the car was fixed and back on the road.
