NEVER. GO. HERE These guys are thieves and goons…read more Literally go anywhere else. I have never felt compelled to write a review for a business until the HORRIBLE experience I have had at Mud's Tires. They've got GOONS working there and this shop should be avoided at all costs. Earlier this year, I brought my Jeep into Mud's to see what it would take to get my check engine light turned off. Well, 14k later, my check engine light is still on. This is the most back-alley and illegitimate mechanic shop I have ever dealt with and I am embarrassed I ever went here. After having to bring my Jeep back into this shop and having it stay over night there for a total of 60 days this year, I decided to cut my losses and accept that these dirtbags were never actually going to honor their "warranty." Mud's claims to have a warranty for all work performed but they won't actually honor that, when you inevitably have to bring your car back in when their shotty mechanic work immediately fails. They will try and convince you that you have to spend more money with them to actually fix the problem this time. They will pretend to work on your car while they keep it for a few days/weeks and you are without a way of getting around. This happened to me and when I complained to the owner he tried to gaslight me and tell me the issues I was having with my Jeep, after paying him thousands, were somehow my fault? I've attached a screenshot of the convo to this review, in which the owner of the shop tells me "I'm not your daddy," after I complained to him about the mechanical work the goons he's got working in there did on my Jeep. Also, I recommend scrolling down a few reviews to read about one customers experience at Mud's in which she over hears the owner complaining about "blacks." This is the kind of shop Mud's is. NEVER GO HERE. They will rob you and your car will run worse than it did before you brought it in. The owner will act like he's your friend and that he's giving you a deal. Run. He's a hustler and don't fall for his tricks. He is not your friend and he will rob you blind if you give him the chance. Lastly, I asked the owner for a 6k refund after his goons essentially totaled my Jeep and he said he would sue me for defamation if I gave him a bad review. I've attached a screenshot of that interaction with him as well. Apparently customers take him to court often? Go to a real shop that can actually honor their warranty and has actual licensed mechanics.

DISHONEST MANAGEMENT and ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY. In Oct 2024,…read moreDetroit Transmission replaced our Ram's flex plate with a Mopar OEM part. By June 2025, the part failed. Tim repeatedly claimed it was out of warranty due to mileage (over 15k miles) and charged us $2,576 for a second replacement. I did the legwork Tim refused to do: I verified with three other shops and two Dodge dealers that the Mopar part actually has a 2-year UNLIMITED mileage warranty. The part was found to be warped with cracked welds. I also found out we should have been charge $798 for the part, because mechanic shops get a 30% discount from the Dodge dealer. After I provided the warranty proof and asked why he changed $1238.51 for a $798 part, Tim admitted to a "computer error" overcharge for the part of $440 and refunded us the $440, but the nightmare continued. Though their Dodge dealer credited Detroit Transmission for the flex plate on Nov 5 and mailed a labor reimbursement check on Dec 26, the shop still did not reimburse us. When we finally confronted them in person in Jan 2026, they refused to give us the full refund for the part. They charged us $798 for the part and only refunded $638.40, pocketing $159.60 (their shop discount for the part). They also refused to refund the $150 of labor reimbursement and $113.32 sales tax. They still owe us $422.92. They forced us to do all the warranty legwork ourselves, with Cathy, the bookkeeper, saying that was our responsibility since it was our truck. They kept money that belongs to us. AVOID this shop; they do not honor warranties and lack basic integrity. For a more detailed review check out their Facebook page.
