I barely put 5,000 miles on my car per year as I work from home full time. My husband does tire rotations for me so we never had the need to bring my car back to Discount Tires. However, we noticed there was a staple in a tire as my pressure light was on. My husband brings my car in today and they refused to honor the warranty that we had purchased because there were no tire rotations on file and claimed our thread wear was too close to the limit. They refused to help us with the staple unless we purchased new tires. My husband who knows cars very well can tell the tires do not need to be replaced. If we had known that tire rotations were required to be at Discount Tires and had to be on file, we would have come in every few months for a rotation. However, that was NEVER disclosed to us when we had purchased the warranty. Mind you, my husband also used to work at Discount Tires years ago and he has never heard of tire rotations being required for them to honor warranty certificates. Frustrated that the company changing my tires failed to do any follow-up after the initial sale, the transparency and communication at Goodyear was refreshing. I hung out in the lobby while the shop performed their magic on my tires. They clearly printed reports to show the measurements that were modified.
