I've been sitting here for over 45 minute and am still waiting for my food. Groups that ordered after me have been served. Wait staff hasn't bothered to speak to us, refill drinks, etc. When we asked about the food, we were rudely told , "Your foods' coming!" Normally this is a good spot.... Americus has a couple of diners, including a Waffle House. In what is a somewhat poetic twist of fate and location, they ate on opposite sides of the same street maybe 200 yards apart. The Waffle is a mediocre at best Waffle House that serves passable eggs, po' grits and so-so everything else. This isn't about that place. 3 Squares is the southern take on a diner complete with friendly servers and good cooks. Everything is cooked right before your eyes and hot when it gets to you. There is something to be said for fries that need to cool first. I love it and will come back again and again to have my late night fix. read more

There aren't many breakfast places around and the hotel attendant did not recommend this place but we wanted to have a sit down dining experience. It was busy due to the half capacity rules and we had to wait for a table. The layout looked exactly like a Waffle House and it did not appear to be overly clean. The waitress was nice and attentive. I ordered a waffle, two eggs, and I asked for the bacon on a separate plate. 15 minutes later, my food had arrived but not what I had ordered. I received pancakes instead of a waffle and bacon on the same plate as the eggs. I was disappointed but the waitress was quick to fix the mistake. The waffle wasn't very good once I did receive it though. Overall the food was not very good and It hurt my stomach after ward. I would not recommend. The service was the best part of the meal and I only went there to support a local business. However, it appeared to be a local favorite as the parking lot was nearly full the entire time. read more

This evening, myself and a friend visited this diner for a quick meal. It was early in the evening, so it was not crowded. The waitress took our order, and about 15 minutes later our meal was served. We asked for ranch dressing, which we did not get. We also were not served any additional tea, or asked if we needed anything. Salad came with my meal, however, it did not come until I was finished with my meal. Then, when I asked her to put it in a to-go carrier, she wasn't very happy. The food was very good, because the cook, did an excellent job. The waitress however, did a very poor job. Since it was not crowded, she should have been able to handle her job, or get out of the kitchen. We were very disappointed in this trip and next time we want to visit 3 Square Diner, in Americus, GA, we will second think our decision. read more

Went three times all on Sunday mornings. First was ok, second better third terrible. We waited 55 minutes for food on the third visit. Parking is difficult because every visit there we had to deal with one to two cars taking up 2 spots read more

What a wonderful place! We evacuated from Ft Lauderdale and when we hit our hotel, this diner was recommended. We went for dinner and besides for perfect wait staff , the "chef" came to see if we enjoyed our meal. Them menu is simple, everything that everyone loves, This is my 4th visit and there is no change in my opinion. They are huddling due to the storm just left Americus. It's G R E A T !!! diner food with southern hospitality and sweet tea. Of course, I get half and half sweet tea because it is the traditional Georgia sweet tea. ;-). The wait staff is friendly and helpful. Just tell them what you have a taste for and they can steer you to the right item on the menu. The burgers are VERY good. the salad is fresh. The steak is cooked to your requested doneness every time. 3 Squares Diner Americus is a place where the locals come eat! So that should tell you something.
