I forgot to take pictures, and that's fine because there was nothing remarkable to take pictures of. We went with my brother and his wife and daughter to eat at Pat's place, a beloved Americus tradition. I cannot remember a time in my life when Pat's place was not open. It actually is about the same age as I am. It got it started as a biker bar years and years and years ago, and then it transformed into a college hangout. Only most of the patrons are people who never went to Georgia Southwestern or they graduated so long ago that they're now retired from their jobs. So it kinda is a college bar just for people who graduated from college in 1980. My wife ordered a garden salad and we got some nachos and I got a Reuben with chips and an order of chicken wings. It was $75. And I've got to tell you none of it was anything special. You could get a better Reuben out of a sandwich machine. And if you don't order extra meat, what you end up with is a sauerkraut sandwich. The chicken wings they were Tysons chicken wings from a bag and they tasted like the dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets that my nieces eat. My nieces are under 10 years old. The nachos were mini Tostitos with a couple of three different cups of things served with them. The chili was OK. The guacamole was OK. The cheese sauce was nacho cheese sauce. Think about this as concession stand nachos or school lunchroom nachos. My wife's salad was delicious looking it was very good. She enjoyed it and it was a great deal. The rest of the meal was total garbage. And for $75 I expected better. Not a drop of beer was consumed. $75 included two cokes. And you have to bus your own table when you're finished. The service is always very good, they bring your food to your table after you order it at the bar. And it's not a proper bar either. It's just beer, I guess you could have a glass of wine but it's mostly beer and soft drinks. They're not putting on any airs at Pat. They're just charging too much. read more

Pat o pat o pat! First bite of my sausage and mushroom ultra thin crust pizza was heavenly, but soon after, the crust got excessively soggy and there goes my 5 star review for you Pat's place! No complaints about the ingredients. They were fresh and baked to perfection! The sauce was oh yeah, pour it all on me good -know what I mean?!?! But the soggy crust left me sad and unfulfilled. Otherwise, the restaurant had a small town homey vibe with a great atmosphere of warm welcoming people! read more

I come into town once per month for grad school and I always make sure to stop by Pat's. The food is so good, you can order any item on the menu and be to the moon. Plus the spirit of this place is so warm and inviting. Pat is often there and he never forgets me, even though I only stop by once a month. Geeat place with a great beer selection and food. My friend and I stopped in after visiting 13th colony. Its a great bar area and pool hall. Great service and very friendly. You go up to the bar and order. They will deliver to your table. I got the reuben sandwich it had good flavor. The dressing was nice and flavorful. The corned beef was nice and tender. Its served with your choice of bagged potato chips. The only issue was it was a little too greasy and made the bread soggy. Beer was nice and cold and served from the draft. read more

My wife and her son and I visited Pat's Place for the first time. I found the people to be pleasant and helpful I had a Cuban sandwich. I' had a lot of Cuban Sandwiches and this is as good as I have ever had. My wife had a BLT. She enjoyed it greatly. Her son had a pizza. He liked it very much. Saturday about 3pm. Sat on screened in porch watching the rain. Ordered a Rueben sandwich with fruit as my side. Came out fast and hot. Great service-very friendly. Talked to random people. Nice vibe. Consistently good for years! Recommend! read more

Went with a friend to pay respects to former president Carter in Plains then find a local place to eat. The city of Plains roll up the sidewalks at 5pm so e looked nearby and found Pat's Place. I do t care for Oysters but the reviews telling us to get the Oysters before they were gone intrigued me. I ordered the Reuben and a beer. You seat yourself inside or out. It was pretty crowded - a good sign. People were very nice and helpful. Food was also good. Local atmosphere was even better. read more

Irish Bar/Restaurant with a very cozy atmosphere. Pool tables in the back. Employees are extremely polite and patient. Very courteous in service and efforts. They are very knowledgeable on their menu and have no problems guiding you if you're lost. Trust me, it's easy to get lost because they have so many great things to eat. I ordered a lunch special veggie pizza and side salad with extra topping of sliced eggs (+.60 topping). For For the price and quality of food you will love it if you want a great experience of the food and want to keep your meal light. They also have a decent sweetness to the southern sweet tea. The owner, Pat, is extremely courteous and deeply appreciates his customers. This Irish pub has a great atmosphere and the music is good. Stopped in for lunch due to the reviews on Yelp. Which normally don't lead me a stray but I must say I was disappointed in pats place. I love local hole in the wall places. Pats fits this perfectly. I am a stickler for good food though. The "downtowner" sandwich that I ordered was warm and on good bread though there was nothing between the two slices. 1 piece of roast beef. 1 piece of turkey and 1 slice of cheese and with a few trimmings. Though not thick slices all three very thin and with tip an $11.50 lunch left me very hungry. Sad to say doubtful I will return. read more

Pat's has the best pizza in Americus. The crust is thin and a bit crispy. It is not the least expensive pizza in town, but it is the best and the pricing is still very reasonable. The sandwiches and soups are also wonderful. There is something on the menu for everyone. Soup is only available during the fall and winter months, but it is excellent. The lunch specials a great deal. The menus have short articles about local history, so you can get a history lesson while you wait for your meal. read more

Was Making a Business Trip from Texas and Local Manager recommended Pat's Place for Lunch. Wonderful Recommendation. Love the Irish Theme , Great Selection of Beer on Tap even have an IPA!!! (Unfortunately was on the payroll and had to drink tea which was home brewed and delicious :)) Ate the Rueben Sandwich and was very impressed. Let's just start off by saying this place is easily my favorite restaurant in town. It has been a staple my entire life and I have only grown to love it more and more as I've gotten older. The pizza is the absolute best! They have different types of crusts to choose from and fresh toppings galore. They have gluten free friendly menu items as well. You cannot pass up on the nachos with chili cheese and guac. We get it pretty much every time we come in. The have soup during the cold months and daily lunch specials that are very well-priced and convenient. You will often see folks coming in to pick up orders for the whole office and then you will see those same people come in that evening to enjoy the atmosphere. The menu is pretty extensive and they feature special sandwiches and pizzas all the time. They have beer and wine with a great selection on draft that is always changing. It has a very hole in the wall feel - the whole place is covered with fun memorabilia and the booths/tables are separated by photo collages of patrons from years past. You can easily spend hours checking out the photos on the walls and tables. You will be surprised who you might see! There are pool tables in the back with a jukebox and a pergola to sit and relax at outside. Pat's Place has fun events pretty much every night. Monday is the Corn Hole Tourney, Tuesday is Blue Grass Night, Wednesday is Trivia Night or Oyster Night (depending on the season), and Thursday is the Pool Tourney. The biggest night out of the whole year is St. Patty's Day. The owner Pat colors his beard green just for the occasion. The have corned beef and hash, green beer, and live music all day long.
