Charged me an exorbitant amount for a diagnostic without intervention. I have a scan tool that already told me my engine codes and the tech told me that he doesn't trust it. Upon him scanning my vehicle, the same code appeared as my scan tool. I knew the fixes for the codes, and the tech told me the same things I already knew. He didn't fix anything, only told me his recommendations. I'm pretty sure that my problem won't get fixed and my problem will reappear after my car goes through the readiness cycle. read more

For the longest time my Corolla had the check engine light. And every time they ran the machine it stated oxygen or something with gas. Anyways it was always the same code. I went to a mechanic elsewhere and it literally took him 2 weeks to figure it out. I had to take my cae multiple times to him because check engine light would Light up. Finally the other mechanic fixed it but within two months the light came back. I finally decide to put a picture over the check engine light. Out of sight out of mind. Then I brought my car to joe to fix some other stuff. And this man literally did what other mechanics couldn't do. The light has been off for over two years. Last December 2023, on my visit to the city, I met Joe Bucad through one of his workers. we talked about my car back here in Canada. My 2016 Scion FRS had its throw out bearing go bad. Joe and the shop took care of it in 3 days and did additional work that I did not ask for, but really appreciated such as supplying missing bolts and cleaning the underpanels. My dad stopped going here after they did a "fix" on his car that he didn't ask for. Joe held the car ransom in the garage till he payed them the 2,000 . I personally had no problem coming here..usually I'd buy my own oil and oil filters and their young apprentice would change it no problem..till the last time I came here.. joes friend did an oil change n oil filter and guess what.. I check the dip stick when I got home and it was well above the 2 Dots that indicates how much oil is suppose to be filled.. they OVERFILLED the engine oil !! No wonder I started smelling something funky in the car.. to top it off they used a really cheap brand.. (Napa 5w-30, very cheap 2$ a quart) I drove my car and noticed it wasn't running as efficiently as I wanted to.. miles per gallon kept going lower n lower..(I didn't have this problem before when I brung my own supplies and just paid for labor) also heard a loud shudder in my car that was never there before until I actually gave it to them to maintain..usually I'd have it around 33 mpg but after I got it returned from them the MPG just kept dropping 0.1 (down to 29)every few min I drove so I knew something was wrong.. Thank God they refused to give me a transmission fluid flush even though my car reminded me to.. mind you you should get it done every 30,000 miles to 60,000 miles(depending on the car) and every 15,000 if you drive a lot.. hasn't been a year since I got my Honda and I already drove around 20,000. So yea I get a code (B - 1 -3) on my Honda (meaning maintenance, check tire pressure, REPLACE TRANSMISSION FLUID) Joe just checks the dip stick on the transmission and responds "no you're ok" .. well no I'm not ok.. the transmission fluid was already turning brown as an indication I should change it.. so I change my oil myself got my own filters n used the right oil for my car n guess what.. not even 10 min of driving I feel my car driving way more efficient my MPG was actually going up wow and it didn't smell like burnt gasoline when I drove it.. I definitely need to change my own transmission fluid also because the last time I got it done here I get it back and I start hearing a shudder .. it's funny I even asked joe one time if he could change my exhaust and he said no .. like a simple slip on exhaust.. I only asked cuz at that time I didn't have the right tools but from now on I'm changing my own oils(etc). The young guy and the other old man that works in the back are ok.. I asked them to change my spark plugs a few months ago cuz I felt my car was misfiring and they changed it no problem.. car was running smoother..I only asked them cuz Joe was on vacation and thank God he was or else he probably would've just told me I'm crazy and don't need my spark plugs changed. Just giving you a heads up for anyone else coming here. I'm done getting my oil changed here.. sometimes when you want something done right,you gotta do it yourself. *drops karaoke mic* read more

Did an absolutely great job. At first it was a little hard to find them but you have to go around the building and towards the back. Parking is a little tight but they can tell you where to park or you can park on the street. They caught everything on my to-do list when I just went in to get my battery terminals fixed. They were able to provide me with advice for my step-dad's car and help me find a temporary solution for my heater when it was stuck in an on position and couldn't turn the AC on. My family has been taking our cars here within the past couple of years. I am surprised there are no other reviews. I believe the other customers are trying to keep this place a secret! Fair prices and satisfaction guaranteed from here. I have taken my car to two other mechanics - one at a Union 76 Gasoline station and another small shop, and I like the vibes I get from this place. The main mechanic, Joe, is easy to talk to, and he understands cars well. I don't get the feeling of being cheated and he is very reasonable with the prices. I have talked to him on occasion about what is being repaired and why, and he was able to explain it to me, and I felt better about that. I have 1990 Acura Integra and have taken my car for AC Service there, as well as getting O2 (oxygen) sensors diagnosed and replaced. Unfortunately I don't have any prices to quote as the impetus for writing this review is coming from a very bad service experience at the Cerritos Nissan dealership for my Father's new Murano. They are usually busy in the shop and they have a small parking lot. Once you turn northbound on 219th, you will have to make a right turn onto a driveway behind a very long building. Their shop is at the end of the building. Park as far back as you can. Leaving can be done by going around the building - so, yes, it is one-way-ish. Ask for Joe once you get there. read more

My sister took her car here a few times. For a time everything was fine. Then when she went back to ger her window fix because it wasn't rolling down. She thought it was fixed, but a few days later it stopped working so she took it back to Joe and his reply to her was oh that's because the part is made in China. Really? Can you checknit at least. You fixed it. So she just left it at that. My sister is gullible and too nice. Lol. Then she went again because her car wouldn't start. Paid over a $1000 to get it fixed, but she came home with gas smelling inside rhe car. So I told her to go back and find out what they did and of course his response was I didn't touch that. He wouldn't even check to see what was wrong or find out if they hit anything when they were fixing it. A friend if mines who's a mechanic checked the car and of course there was so many things wrong with it and it was the ones he ended fixing.
