Excellent service by Scott and Jerious from Three men and a duck. They unloaded three Upack pods in four hours to a storage unit in building and in to our new apartment. They showed up about five minutes early ready to work and worked hard the entire time. Great personalities. They helped move and place our king sized latex mattress in the bed and lifted it so we could put the cover back on (a three person job due to the weight and spongy nature of a latex mattress). great attention to detail- they placed boxes in the rooms they were labeled and made sure to avoid puddles and ice from outside as they brought in heavier items. When they opened one pod- there as significant movement from transport and Jerious was quick to catch the falling mattress (see photo). Thanks to his quick thinking and Scott pulling out the fallen items behind the mattress - not a single thing was broken. i am looking forward to hiring them again for our next move! read more

I was told to avoid these guys by my other movers, and I should have heeded the warning. They were contracted via Uhaul to help me unload a truck in downtown Denver. It got off on the wrong foot as the owner called me and said that his crew called in sick but that they could still accommodate me. I went back and forth on the time once we got a crew to get this move finished. They were 45 minutes late and wouldn't answer my calls as they were trying to find a furniture dolly. They had a freight elevator all to themselves and what took the other crew 2.5 hours to load WHILE walking down 3 flights of stairs took this crew 6 hours to unload. We didn't see them for 1 whole hour....I found out later that they went to McDonald's without telling me (I have it on video at the building). They said they finished and they left and when I went down to the truck as I thought we were missing items, they left things on the truck and just left before finishing. It took them forever because they ended up NOT HAVING A FURNITURE DOLLY. They used something the front desk gave them I have tried to call the owner but he will not return my call. EDIT He returned my call once he saw this review. Offering me a half hearted apology days later. I would stay away as this crew is a nightmare read more

NO SHOW!!! UNRELIABLE, UNPROFESSIONAL, UNAPPOLOGETIC! I set up a move with 3 men & a duck for Sept 13, 2023 at 9 AM. The move was for 3 men and they would rent and bring a Uhaul truck. I communicated multiple times via email, text, and phone, with Lawrence from 3 men and a duck. On the day of the move (Sept 13) no one showed up at 9 am, or 10 am, or 11 am.... I made multiple calls to Lawrence with no response. (BTY, every other time I called Lawrence, he answered immediately, or called back within a few minutes) I had to hire another moving company last minute for the move. Because of this, the total moving cost was $2500.00 instead of $1500,00 had 3 men and a duck shown up. Also, the move did not finish until late in the day due to getting the last minute movers. It was not until the next day that Lawrence reached out to try to explain what happened. He stated that his scheduler had miss read the Sept 13 as Sept 18 and put it on the calendrer incorrectly. I know this is not true because I had spoken with Laurence just days before the move to confirm and he assured me we were on for the day and time we agreed on. Even more upsetting, when I finally spoke with Laurence, he did not apologies, he did not give a reason for not calling me back on the day of the move, he made up a lame excuse for not showing up, and he did not make any gesture to compensate me for the extra money, stress and aggravation 3 men and a duck caused. This is such an amazing company! They were very responsive and easy to work with - we even had to change the date and time at the last minute and they were able to accommodate us. The gentlemen who came to help us unpack our uhaul and move things into our home were very nice and easy to work with - they treated our items with care and got things done lightning fast! I hired the company to load our ABF 28' trailer for a cross country move. We had already completed the packing and as this is our 10th family move, we are very good at proper packing, labeling and staging of our boxes. The crew arrived on time and took about 15-20 min to get started. (Time we paid for) the began loading and things seemed to be going well. The crew was friendly and respectful but they did no move with much purpose, it was a very casual pace throughout the whole load. The owner had estimated that we'd need 3 guys for 4 hours to load...it took 7 hours and I was acting as a 4th man on the job. When we were done we had completely filled the truck and still had some leftovers which, we expected. The 2-Stars comes from the following: -Crew spent a solid 15 min of paid time getting started -Crew took several smoke breaks out in front of the house (paid time again) -We ordered pizzas for the crew to help expedite the loading as we were running out of daylight (paid time and paid for the food) -Moving pace was very casual and could have been completed in well under 7 hours -Upon arrival, several pieces of furniture were significantly damaged. These pieces were specifically pointed out to be wrapped and given extra care. They were not completely wrapped and then heavy metal items were placed on top ruining a $3500 walnut dresser. -Several wardrobe boxes (everything was Very Clearly labeled) we used as bases of box stacks causing a collapse of the stack and ruining a suit as well as breaking a desk that was placed on top. **I called and emailed the owner after the move to discuss the issues, followed up with photos and have not received any further response even after a last chance follow up a couple weeks ago** In short I would not use them again. We paid $800 to have 3 guys load & ruin a brand new and expensive dresser. Furthermore we fed and tipped the crew to add to the cost. My advice would be to look elsewhere for loading assistance and get a contract on the job as well as discuss insurance policies, and worker expectations regarding hours, pace and 'breaks'. His guys, Antoine and Julian worked very hard and did a great job packing the truck and moving lots of goods from the basement of the house in 95 degree weather. That never slowed them down. We had used this moving company previously and never had any issues which is why we booked them again. We were moving from our two bedroom 3rd story apartment to our two bedroom townhouse that is a split-level. First off the first crew scheduled for our move never showed up! Richard in the office said he wasn't sure what happened to them and may or may not be able to get someone else to help us. For us to start looking at other companies. Around 12:45pm they sent over another crew that was extremely slow and inefficient, it took them close to 12 hours to load and unload. Which left the townhouse in such a disarray that we couldn't sleep there and ended up going to a hotel. They didn't break anything, they are just not a reliable company and very slow. We are glad that a second crew was able to help us, since the first one was unavailable. read more

This was the best move I have had! These guys were great. They were fast and careful- a tough combination to beat! They were understanding when I ran out of tape and went ahead and were able to tape up the last few boxes for me. The communication was very smooth throughout- from start to finish. This company tries to save you money where they can. I thought I'd need two wardrobe boxes- but only needed one and ONLY paid for one! Hooray! I had kind of a tricky move- it was for my mom and some of her stuff was going to her new senior living and some of it was coming to my house. They handled this easily. My husband used this company previously when moving into his one bedroom apartment. It took the two men 3 hours to complete the job and though they were slow, he felt they did a decent job and were hard working. So we booked them again when he was moving from his apartment into our house, this time was a different crew and I am very dissatisfied with them. It took them over 7.5 hours to move out of the apartment into our house which is 15 min from the apartment. And mind you, it was exactly the same stuff. And moving into the house should have been a lot quicker since its bigger and they didn't have to go up and down an elevator each time. But that is not even the main reason for my complaint. After they left, I noticed so many scratches and dents on the walls of my new house. Even worse was the stair banister which had the wood dented in and scratches too. We will definitely not be using this company again, veterans or not. read more

I've used 3 Men and a Duck for many a jobs!! My husband and I own a storage yard and at times we have to seize the contents of the storage unit. We always use these guys and we've become all but family over the years. My husband and I can be a bit particular on how we like things but we are always assigned the same moving lead, which helps because they know just how we like things. They're quick, efficient, organized, and we like working with Richard. Nobody is 100% perfect but if these guys ever miss a step they go out of their way to make it up. They even bought US pizza once!! You won't be disappointed either! I know it says they're located in Littleton but our business is in Commerce City and they never complain about having to make the drive! read more

If they break your stuff, which they probably will, they will avoid you!!! Do not use these guys!!! This is not a reliable company. First off I called Richard (the owner I guess) and asked him to have his guy's bring a dolly. He says he relayed the information to them but they showed up empty handed. One guy left for an entire hour to go to the uhaul store 5 minutes away to retrieve dollys. When he made it back he was ok the phone for an hour before he left. They had to send a replacement to get the job done. These guys were the slowest movers I've ever seen. Milking the hourly rate. The worst part of it though was that they scratched a lot of my wood furniture and they broke a vase. I only found out about the vase after the move was done when somebody from my old apartment informed me they had broken it and were looking like they were cleaning frantically to hide it. Well they did but luckily the witness found me and told me. The only problem is it was the next day. I've called Richard multiple times to discuss this and he has not called back. We hired this company last year to unload a POD and were so pleased with their service we called them again when we moved. Unfortunately, we were not so happy this time. The movers were on time and worked quickly, but they broke our cat tree and scuffed the floor badly. We noticed the damage and told them that we wanted to talk to someone about it. They said they would report it to the manager but we never heard anything back. We emailed as well and still no response. Very disappointing that they didn't tell us right away that something was damaged and even more disappointing that no one has contacted us to try to find a solution. read more

What personable, expedient, kind, and CAREFUL movers these gentlemen are. We moved to Denver in 2013 and used them based off a combination of positive reviews on UHaul's Moving Help website, last-minute availability, and reasonable cost. Fast forward to 2016, we are now homeowners and vacated our house completely for some major renovations. I used another company off Moving Help to load our lives into UHaul storage for 6 weeks to allow time for renovations...I was not pleased. I had to chase "Company B" down late the day before as I had never received confirmation they were coming, one of the movers spent a lot of time checking his phone and NOT moving, and they did not have trailer operation experience to get the UHaul UBoxes up my driveway. Thus it took longer and more effort to walk up and down my driveway to load. With such a lackluster experience with Company B, I called Three Men and a Duck back for the move back home and they did everything perfectly. Richard always picks up the phone, he dealt with the hot mess that is UHaul on a really busy day, got the Uboxes right up to my garage door, carefully unloaded everything without a ding, and made a professional amount of small talk that lightened the day. You don't realize that quality (or lack thereof) of such a simple service can either make your day very stressful, or, not at all! Thank you, Three Men and a Duck. Pretty disappointed. Lots of scratches, broken and missing parts on furniture and moved slow. One guy stacked fragile boxes too and dropped! We kept having to tell him, it's FRAGILE!! We labeled every item and labeled what was FRAGILE! We gave them a priority of what needed to go on the truck. Contacted this company about a month prior to moving from California, back home to Colorado. Richard was EXTREMELY helpful in getting me UN-stressed out for this move. I rented a 16' truck to move myself and needed someone on this end to unload it and get everything in the apartment that we will be renting. So once I got here, the folks who unloaded me were here at EXACTLY the time they promised me. In fact, Vernon contacted me a couple of times the day before to let me know the arrival time; and even in the morning prior to arriving to let me know that he was on his way. He and another member of his team were here to work and not play. They had that truck unloaded in record time and had all the parts and pieces that were in the truck placed in the rooms that we told them to put them. They were absolutely AWESOME. I would hire these folks in a minute, in fact when we move they will be contacted. I WILL NOT do a search for any other movers, I only have their number in my cell. I used this service recently for a move in Denver. Everything went well until the following day when I found my bike stolen from the U-haul. Nothing else was taken and everything was covered in moving blankets. Person had to know where the bike was placed before hand. O, and they broke the lock on the U-haul. I hired 3 men and a duck through uhaul and got 2 guys for 2 hours. I ran into issues with my building and the freight elevators and my movers handled it so professionally. This issue created a lot more heavy lifting, time and annoyance and the didn't let it phase them and they didn't seem frustrated. This could have easily escalated my stress but the movers were awesome. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone. Great all around. read more

I called these guys last minute after my originally planned movers didn't work out, upon recommendation from the local uhaul facility. They were great! Very reasonably priced, friendly, and easy to schedule, even in a pinch. Richard and his son moved my furniture into my apartment quickly and professionally, and they were very helpful with small things like reassembling furniture that had been taken apart by the movers. I used these guys several times and was pleased other than when one of their movers refused to tie down a load and caused damaged to a picture ($100) which I was never reimbursed, even though Richard agreed to reimburse me for the picture. We have used Two Men and a Duck twice in the last year, once for moving to an apt and once for moving to our new home. Both times we received outstanding service. For the first move, they came recommended from another moving company that didn't have availability. We hired two men for two hours and it was amazing what they were able to accomplish in that short time. Way more than we ever would have imagined. They were also very reasonably priced. For the second move, we went back to Two Men and Duck right away. This time Frank and Demetrius were our two guys. Once again, we were able to work with two hard working, capable and professional movers. They packed our moving truck with more furniture and boxes than I would have thought possible, saving us the mileage on the UHaul by minimizing trips back and forth, as well as the time we thought we would have to spend completing what they couldn't finish in the time we scheduled them for. They even offered to stay on for additional time to help us finish the move! I cannot recommend this company enough. They have never let us down and I would gladly work with them again. read more

These guys are awesome. We were connected to them through the Uhaul Uboxes. They picked up our Uboxes, dropped them off, followed all the crazy rules our apartment had for moving, moved our stuff quickly/carefully, were extremely courteous, and got done in half the time we expected. I purchased labor only and had my own transportation. Order was placed with two days in advance of the move. The men accommodated me, even though we had minor schedule adjustment in the morning of the move. Duck never showed up. I had a couch that barely fit through the door. Guys tried different ways to get it in and were able to get it inside without any damage. We had to make couple of trips to point A to load and deliver to two different locations. The only minus is we drove two different vehicles and therefore arrived at different times. Other than that, guys were great, courteous, polite, professional and I appreciate that they did not give up on getting that couch through the door. read more

Richard and his team were the most kind, professional, efficient HUMANS I've ever met, so it is a huge bonus that they are expert movers as well. I had a U-box waiting to be picked up and emptied, but plans changed and I had no way to get it done. I was able to make an online reservation only two days before the move-in date and things could not have gone more smoothly. We called at 5pm on a Friday and had 3 men Saturday morning. They were 15 minutes early and didn't stop working until 5pm that evening. (They took 5 minutes to eat pizza I made them and less than 30 for lunch- thank God because the needed fuel). They were courteous, professional and so strong! We have lots of solid wood furniture that is very large and both the home we left and the one we moved into have several flights of stairs, stairs and more stairs. All furniture was wrapped with extreme care and the way they packed the trucks was incredible, they fit everything we needed and did not waste an inch of space. They even helped us with the moving trucks on our drive and most importantly on our very windy and very steep driveway. Great attitudes!!! We will absolutely use them again! read more

We hired this 3 stooges company for a cross country move had everything packed and supplyed all the blankets and bubble wrap they could use. In short 90 % of our furniture was damaged or destroyed. This company has no insurance to cover your packimg or move. The owner does not give a crap about customers or making it right its been a year now and no response from thwm.
