Blueberry muffin
Aya R.

My order: Egg and Feta on gluten free bread, iced coffee, blueberry muffin (GF), matcha latte The Review: Headed to 3 Little Figs for a weekday morning breakfast with the fam. The vibes were great and the staff were really nice. The sandwiches were loved by all. There were options for everyone and tons of gluten free things. We followed it up with a little walk on the Somerville community path, and once we worked up an appetite, we had a crazy idea to go back for pastries and another drink! The iced matcha with soy milk was perfect on a hot day. If we can go twice in one morning, then it's a given that we will be back for more.

Market sandwich (half) - excellent flavor balance, great portion

Stopped by for a smoothie and some sandwiches to go and really enjoyed everything! Vibe: Small cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, note that there is additional indoor seating if you go back towards the kitchen and over. Service: Fairly quick while they were pretty busy Food: Pepper biscuit breakfast sandwich - was a small but dense and delicious breakfast. Market sandwich - delicious balance of ingredients, solid portion Chocolate shake - this was SO yummy and you wouldn't even know it had sweet potato in it! Value: Prices were good for the quality and quantity of food. Overall I loved everything I got and would definitely recommend and return again!

Market Sandwich, Matcha Latte, Lemon Cake

Cute little brunch spot! They are very busy and the space is small, so smaller groups are preferable. Really enjoyed their lemon cake - it was moist with a strong kick of lemon zest. The market sandwich's fig jam was a nice sweet contrast to the salty prosciutto. I only wish the bread wasn't cold and there was less goat cheese. Matcha lattes were pretty average. Staff were nice. The line moved quick and they were helpful with their recommendations.

Grabbed a quick breakfast here and everything was great! The biscuit was really wonderful!

Such a great spot!! Coffee is always perfect and all the baked goods are soo tasty! My favourite is the strawberry jam bar! Today I got a cortado and the pepper biscuit with cheese and egg! The sandwich was very tasty!

3 Little Figs is a cute cafe! It was super busy when I stopped in, but the line moved quickly. The staff is really nice too. I got the pepper biscuit, which was good but pretty average, and in my opinion not worth $8.00.

Egg & Feta Sandwich

There has always been a long line out the door here when we've walked by on weekends, and our visit was no different. Luckily, the line moved pretty fast, and we also got our food pretty quickly after. We originally wanted to dine in, but it was so crowded inside from the constant flow of people ordering and waiting near the counter that we decided to take out instead. "The market" sandwich (prosciutto, goat cheese, arugula, and fig jam on focaccia) was a perfect mix of sweet and salty flavors and a great portion size for just $11. The egg and feta breakfast sandwich (scrambled eggs, tomato, arugula, and feta on a brioche bun) was a lot smaller and less unique in flavors, but also good value at $7. I would come back for the market sandwich again and order ahead online for pickup!

Saturday morning was definitely a busy time to go, but we loved our experience here!! We came at the recommendation of multiple friends (one of which claimed this place houses the best barista-- EVER) This isn't a huge space, but they have a no computer rule, meaning people aren't lingering for forever which is nice! Sandwiches were yummy (excellent pepper biscuit) and the lavender biscuit was standout!! The black drip coffee had a fruity end note, but great complex flavor. The cortado, made to perfection, and the cold brew was nice as well! Pricing was reasonable for the area! All in all, we will be back!

Market Sandwich with turkey

Amazing sandwiches with fresh made breads. I got the market sandwich and swapped out the prosciutto for turkey. I love the flavor combination of everything and it was a perfect ratio of filling to bread. Amazing portions especially for the price. Would definitely recommend!

sausage breakfast sandwich

One of the best breakfast sandwiches in Boston! The team at three little figs executes breakfast / brunch classics to perfection. We had the sausage breakfast sandwich with a flaky black pepper biscuit, juicy and flavorful sausage patty, and just the right amount of cheese. I would eat this everyday if I could. The strawberry rhubarb bun was just out of the oven and paired perfectly. Attentive service staff and a cozy space. I would recommend ordering online, which has always been the fastest path to food for us.

Absolutely deserving of the Best Cafe in Somerville title! The line can be daunting but the staff work hard to keep it flowing and delivery high quality food and drinks! I doubt I'll ever be disappointed on any future visits. Food: The drinks were very refreshing and a great wake up jolt of caffeine. I was intrigued by the espresso soda and I was not disappointed. It was such a nice blend of fruity flavors that slide perfectly into a familiar coffee taste. The sweet ricotta toast and the egg cheddar sandwich were amazing! The sourdough and ciabatta were the stars and their great bready textures made for perfect vehicles. Service: The staff worked like a well oiled machine but still offered great hospitality! Atmosphere: The popularity does cause the cafe to be busy but everyone was very respectful of one another's space so it wasn't an overwhelming crowd. The decorations also added to the energetic atmosphere.

Love love love 3 Little Figs. Stop in for a warm drink, a warm smile and a delicious treat. Their chia pudding is definitively creative, delicious and balanced with a creamy flavor, and fluffy texture. Their bean selection is ensured with joy and lattes radiate grace and delicate balance. I find the inside to be cozy and welcoming, the outside is deliciously wonderful to sit at in the sunshine. The team are wonderfully kind with friendly service. My friends have tried their sandwiches and always rave about the focaccia - I have yet to try the granola but let me know if you do, I consider it each time. Big fan!

Egg & Feta Sandwich (subbed a biscuit for the brioche)

Affordable, tasty, & Boston metro area aren't usually in any of my sentences together, yet for the quality of their food & service, 3 Little Figs delivers on all three! I had a scratch made biscuit breakfast sandwich and a brewed coffee for $10, which was a great way to start my day. Lunch sandwiches are $10 and looked delicious as well. I'll definitely return next time I'm in Somerville!

Over-rated and crowded. Long lines and the food was good but nothing that special. Coffee was the best part of the meal sadly.

We had such a hard time choosing and settled on the walnut baklava roll and the muska kataifi pisatchio. Everyone working there was so friendly and helpful and even with a line out the door, they were able to keep things moving smoothly. They also gave us small chai samples while we waited to be helped (the chai was spicy and not overly sweet). The baklava and kataifi were perfect -- no notes. Baklava had a great ratio of flaky pastry layers to walnuts. Each bite had the right about of crunch and nuttiness. The amount of syrup used was just right also. Kataifi struck a similarly great balance: a crunchy and sweet shredded wheat exterior rounded out by the richness of pistachios. I wish I could come here all the time and try everything. Definitely keeping this place bookmarked for any future trips to Boston.

Harissa: Sweet but not overwhelming, fragrant yet not greasy, it was what traditional desserts supposed to be. And what I appreciate most is its muffin-like moist and smooth texture. Baklava Rolls / Walnut: Crispy on the outside, while sugary and nutty fragrant on the inside. The aroma of cinnamon and cardamom were mild and easy to accept. It kind of reminded me of the Almond Roca candy. To emphasize, the service was unexpectedly considerate. As a new customer, I simply asked the assistant for recommendations, and she offered me samples of 4 kinds of desserts and a cup of Yafa Chai Karak to try. Although it was hard to get accustomed to the spices, I still appreciate the kindness.

It's topped with a hefty amount of what tastes a bit like cream cheese (but it's probably something else, that's just what it reminds me of). Highly recommend trying it. The black sesame latte came recommended by the staff member. Also very good, nice unique flavor and made with in house syrup! I will say though, it was a little bit gritty as you got to the end of the latte. Theres also an area to sit outside and inside. All in all, an amazing spot that I'd love to visit again!

We fell in love with the pastries--each one with a unique Persian spin on flavor. My favorites are still the Kouign-Amann, Pain Aux Raisin, and the Feta-Za'atar and Orange Marzipan Scones. But the true jewel of La Saison is the Kuku Sabzi on Sea Salt Focaccia. It is unbelievably good. What makes La Saison even more special are the owners, Sarah and Soheil. Their warmth, creativity, and genuine care for their customers shine through in everything they do. You can feel their heart in every pastry and bread and every interaction. La Saison has become one of those rare places that feels both special and comforting, and we're grateful it's part of the neighborhood.

Nowhere to sit, so another challenge. Good selection of croissants and croissant-adjacent items like caneles and pain swisse. Friendly staff; no pretension. My first visit in well over a year on a late weekday morning tried a troika of chocolate-themed items. -- Chocolate Croissant: Not warm (and I wouldn't expect that past 9am), but very fresh feel, very slight greasiness on the bottom, plenty of flakiness on top, and decent fluffiness inside. A good bite, yielding plenty of croissant shrapnel, a light but pleasant buttery taste, and just the right amount of chocolate. A winner. -- Pain Swisse: This varied from others I've had, not having the typical stringiness around the perimeter that feels like raw pasta to the bite, but that was a plus. The bigger noticeable divergence was a much-lighter-than-typical custard presence inside, deferring to the dominant, high quality dark chocolate. The dough around it had good flavor and a nice light crunch, so whether central casting Pain Swisse or not, this satisfied. -- Chocolate Chip Cookie: An unusual rendition, with a dough darker than typical and also boasting some red tint hinting at red velvet. Soft, deliciously rich, and buttery, with the chocolate having a nice melt to it even late in the morning. Salt added some contrast without going overboard as some do. -- Coffee: High in temperature, acidity, viscosity, and flavor. A good match for their baked goods. Overall, still living up to the promise of the first visit, and taking some license with the classic recipes is fine by me with their high level of execution.

Yes, it's big. Yes, the toppings are only on the ends (but you can eat it strategically to make the toppings last through most of the experience). Maybe I have too much of a sweet tooth but unlike a lot of reviewers I did not find it to be TOO sweet, just the right amount paired with a bitter coffee beverage and split between two people. I've never had a cannoli for breakfast before, but darn if it wasn't a highlight of the trip.
