As soon as I arrived I was greeted and pointed to the right direction to find hockey items. Found what I needed. A great guy fit my little guy for a new helmet since he has out grew the one he got a few months ago. Oy! He was really good with him and made sure to try on a few and ask the right questions to find him a suitable helmet. After getting a helmet and some knew pads, we looked around the store to see what other items they had. Ended up buying a t-shirt as well since my little guy has a new obsession with Sidney Crosby? Boys! Paid for our items at the front counter and the girl was very friendly and nice. All in all, great experience and will be back for any other sporting needs.

Usually, i have to visit a number of different Sport Cheks if i'm looking for a specific product because of stock issues, but i find this location to usually have a great selection and more stock available than most locations. It's clean, organized, and easy to get around with usually pretty good staff. I'll run into some long line-ups onces in awhile which can be a bit annoying, but for the most part, they resolve the line-ups in pretty quick fashion.

The crew at Abominable were not only knowledgeable, they were absolutely fantastic in working with us to understand our needs, and work to deliver for us. McKayla and Chelsea at the front end got us sorted at the front end with clothes, helmets, and goggles, while Randy worked patiently with us on the skis and boots. All parties answered our questions and provided us with the understanding to assure we were getting what we needed. Although potentially not because the fishing hole has been around for so long that it is a staple to many people and many people know about it. Even across the street the new grocery store is not open yet so no one is ever around that area besides to drive by or unless their specific purpose is to go to the fishing hole. I bought a Polar H7 Heart rate monitor here on July 25, 2014. It died on me a week ago (the…read moremonitor, not my heart). I dug out the receipt yesterday (Oct 4) and sadly noted that returns need to be made within 60 days of purchase. I reluctantly headed to the store to see if at the very least they might be able to tell me what went wrong and let me know if there was a policy for returning to the manufacturer (and fully expecting to have to buy a new one). I came in and was greeted right away by the clerk who abandoned a vendor rep (giving his latest pitch) to talk to me. After relaying my story to her she said "we'll replace it - let me just make sure we have the same one". She found it under the counter and after signing the appropriate paperwork I was on my way. I was impressed. Granted it was only 1.5-2 weeks past the "due date" on being able to do returns, but there are many stores that would hide behind that marker and tell you "too bad, so sad". Kudos to the store, the clerk and the policy that allowed her to make the call to "break the rule".
