He gave me some tips on how to how to maintain my skates and didn't make me feel dumb for not knowing too much about skates. He showed me some great options for skates, because I mentioned I might want an upgrade soon. Very knowledgeable about the skates he was showing me, and I didn't feel pressured to make a decision right away. Super awesome experience! Thanks Cole!!

I have purchased 2 different sizes of the Bauer 2S Pro in the last year, because I kept having issues with fitment. When I arrived, Cody introduced himself and asked how he can help. I told him about my issues and how I wanted to look at purchasing custom skates. Cody told me to let him have a go at the skates, if he cannot get them to fit, we can order a new set of custom skates. I went back to the store the next day with my Bauer 2S Pro skates and Cody went to work. He identified the root cause of my problem and went to work with the boot stretcher. I was able to test the skates later that evening and what a HUGE difference it was! I still need to see him to make a minor punch, but I can say that my feet wasn't hurting as much as it was before visiting Professional Skate. Prior to this, my feet would hurt so much, I couldn't skate, do crossovers, etc. Highly recommend anybody looking for skates to visit Professional Skate Service! Thanks Cody!!!

This was extremely valuable to us this…read moreweekend as we were looking to outfit Mike with head-to-toe gear for his first upcoming season of hockey. They have a huge selection of everything with a wide range of sizes. This was pretty imperative to us when outfitting a guy who wears size 13 shoes. We were able to find everything needed in the right size. There were lots of staff around who were very helpful in finding things and adding their two cents about product selection. The guy doing the skate sharpening wasn't very knowledgable. In fact, the guy that organizes Mike's hockey league specifically recommended against getting his skates sharpened here. If you do, be sure to know what radius of hollow you need. This is basically the radius of the 'circle' used to do the sharpening. If you are a beginner, you'll probably want 5/8" or larger. The guy at Sport Chek had the opposite recommendation... so I'm glad we had researched it on our own ahead of time. Sport Chek is a big box store, and you get what usually comes along with that... lots of selection, hit or miss employee knowledge, and decent prices (particularly if you hit a sale).
