I'm responding to the mangers response from my google review first I have the WHOLE interaction…read morerecorded so please continue to lie.... I absolutely stuck up for myself when your associate decided to tell me " Your a teacher so you should know how this works ". And " did u even ask for ac" YES , YES I DID ! So as a manager I would think that you would know that ,that is extremely rude and discriminatory and disrespectful against me because I had questions like why isn't there no ac in the back of the car and why all the cars have tickets that say no warranty So maybe you should train your staff on professionalism and how to talk to customers And again because I am a women he thought it was okay to say whatever he wanted to me .... And my father was standing there when YOUR associate said those things to me and I told him I will be leaving a review so YOU should make sure YOU have YOUR facts before responding especially when your response is lies ! . And asking your associate to come in on his day off has to do with you not me I don't make the schedule so don't add things in your reply that has nothing to do with me . The entire time I was with your associate, nothing I was saying or asking was being taken seriously and I was bypass on everything I was asking I do not believe if I was a man I would of been talked to that way again whole thing recorded so don't respond with lies !
Extremely Disappointing Experience at Bronx Hyundai -- Lost a Cash Buyer!
My experience at Bronx Hyundai was absolutely unacceptable. I came in ready to make a purchase and prepared to pay CASH, but instead of receiving professional customer service, I was made to feel disrespected, dismissed, and uncomfortable.
The vehicle I originally wanted was too small, so I asked to see other options. Rather than showing me vehicles that met my needs, I was shown cars that did not have the features I specifically requested, including air conditioning and heat for the rear passengers. When I asked about these features, the salesman responded by asking me, "Aren't you a teacher? You know how this works," and questioned whether I had even asked for air conditioning. YES, I DID! The first vehicle I was shown had the features I wanted, so why was I suddenly being treated as if I didn't know what I was asking for?
I told him not to insult my intelligence, but the disrespectful attitude continued. Then I noticed that the vehicles being shown to me had stickers stating "BUY AS IS -- NO DEALER WARRANTY." When I asked what that meant, I was told not to worry about it. Excuse me? I'm the one spending my money, and I'm absolutely entitled to understand what I'm purchasing, what protection I have, and what risks I'm taking. Telling a customer not to worry about something like that instead of explaining it clearly is unacceptable.
I left feeling that I was not treated fairly, and I couldn't help but wonder whether I was being taken less seriously because I am a woman. I came prepared to make a major purchase with cash, and I expected honesty, respect, transparency, and basic professionalism. Instead, I felt talked down to and made to feel as though my questions were a problem.
Let me be clear: being a woman does not mean I am uninformed, and being ready to pay cash does not mean I should accept whatever a salesperson puts in front of me. I know what I want, I know what questions to ask, and I have every right to understand the terms of a sale before handing over my money.
Bronx Hyundai had an opportunity to earn a significant sale and a satisfied customer. Instead, because of the way I was treated, they lost a serious cash buyer. I will gladly take my business somewhere that values its customers, answers questions honestly, and treats women with the same respect afforded to everyone else.
My money spends just as well as anyone else's, and Bronx Hyundai will not be receiving it. Do better.
