There aren't a lot of local car rental places, so we're lucky that this is a good one. Yes, if you…read morego out of the city you can find newer cars with lower rates. But in a time of pandemic, if you're literally looking for a car rental in walking distance of Kensington/Windsor terrace, I'd recommend this one. Call to make a booking, or you can try just showing up on the day. Summer hours are they're only open Monday through Friday, and they close early on Fridays. I don't know how changeable their rates are, but we took a car for a week for $450 (total, including tax etc). That's about what we'd have paid at empire over in crown heights, but again, the location was really important for us with covid. If your credit card doesn't cover collision insurance, that's an extra $10 per day. The cars are not new, they have mileage and wear and tear, but they work. We felt confident that they were seriously cleaning between customers. Everyone is masked. Nice people. You don't have to go inside to do paperwork, just hand your card and license through the door and they'll hand you back the receipt to sign. Bring your own ez pass if you'll be driving anywhere with tolls.

Long story short the car never came back and the staff worked hard to get me a vehicle. After a great deal of calling to customers with cars and other Enterprises one was found. If your staff was unable to get me a car what would have been the recourse? Maybe each location needs other stand by cars other then a large out of date mini van. Also the car I got at the other location was dirty on the inside like it hadn't been clean thoroughly. The staff at the Emprie blvd location is the only reason I am giving a 4star for the staff!

By the time I actually had keys in hand I was well behind schedule for a trip I could not push. The car they put me in was a subcompact, not what I reserved, and it was in rough shape. Nobody at any point seemed particularly concerned about any of it. No apology, no attempt to make it right, no acknowledgment that sending a customer to a second location and downgrading them is a problem. It got worse after I returned the car, and I am currently disputing a damage charge with them that I do not believe is mine. I will leave it at that.
