Everyone took pride in what they did and double checked that my wife and I were satisfied. They even will come back to hang pictures in 10 days. (My wife made me do that...) They took pictures of everything in the entire house before they started packing. Once unpacked at the new house, they put everything away as well and really did a great job of trying to mirror how we had things. I cannot recommend these guys more...you don't have to be a "Senior" to use their services but their business model makes them stand out. You have to meet Fred, at least once! Her expensive couch was dragged across the ground without any protective wrapping, leaving it damaged and soiled. To make matters worse, the crew handled the bare upholstery without gloves, leaving sweat stains all over it. They also banged up her door frame and left the front door wide open when they left. When these issues were brought to the owner, Fred denied it ever happened, made excuses, and treated the situation with total arrogance instead of taking responsibility. If you value your furniture and your property, do not hire this company!

About 4 hours into the re-delivery of our belongings by their crew, we discovered that much of our furniture and personal property which had already brought into our new home appeared to be covered in mold. The contamination affected our brand-new home and required professional remediation. As a result, we were displaced and forced to live in a hotel for 50 nights while the issue was addressed. The owner, John Craft, acknowledged to us that our belongings had gotten wet and remained on their moving trucks for a period of time during the hot and humid month of June. Despite assurances from the company's insurance carrier, we have received very little communication or resolution. More than seven months later, we still do not have our belongings and have had to retain legal counsel to pursue claims against both Soft Touch Moving and the insurance company. This experience has been incredibly disruptive to our lives. Based on our experience, we would strongly caution others before trusting this company with their belongings.

He is help courteous and is detailed about his work, the crew of guys he brings are always nice. They went above and beyond and even stayed longer than they needed to and put together my bed frame which is pretty much on its last legs and is starting to fall apart. But they made it work and I have no doubt I would not have been able to put that thing together myself. The flat rate they charged was beyond reasonable and I had to double check that it was actually a flat rate and not an hourly rate because I couldn't believe how low the price was. Nilijah, the owner, and A.J., who coordinates the details of each move were easy to reach and very responsive, answering questions I had in the weeks before the move with clarity, warmth, and good humor. On the day of the move, the young men working with Ballew came half an hour before Nilijah, who was driving the van. They set to work and had the furniture from my room completely wrapped and ready to load by the time he arrived. An estimated four-hour slot to load a large room and a storage unit in the basement took them less than two hours! I also asked them to wait on the interstate delivery for three days, in time for me to arrive at my destination. They agreed, and showed up exactly when they said they would, with the same wonderful crew. Again, it took less than two hours to unload a room of furniture and almost 150 boxes, this time at two different destinations. The crew were attentive to my requests as to where to place the complex collection of items, and before they left, they unwrapped each piece of furniture, taking the moving blankets and wrapping away with them. I couldn't be more pleased with the generous support, extremely fair pricing, careful handling, and the all-around great job the staff of Ballew Moving did. For every response I gave the exact mileage and sent photos of the headboard so that everyone knew exactly what I was requesting. Jacob was quick to respond, answered my questions and confirmed the date and time I needed. They confirmed the date and time the day before the move and on the morning of as well. Jacob and Sean arrived on time. They came in and assessed the headboard and proceeded to thoroughly wrap up the headboard in furniture protective pads. After they ensured the headboard was fully protected, they proceeded to move the headboard out my house and to their enclosed trailer. They arrived to the destination timely and moved the headboard up a flight of stairs to a second level apartment. They carefully unwrapped the headboard after we decided on the location. They also sent a follow up message to ensure all went well on the move. They were very fair on pricing for the distance, time and effort required. I will definitely consider using them again in the future if I am needing any type of moving services.
