Regrettably, we have used this company on a couple projects. 1st of all, it's really difficult to get them to show up at your house. They frequently have appointments and flake out and never show. This should be a clue to anyone that this is not a company to do business with. Even after calling several times, you could get someone who is somewhat experienced, or a complete novice. Several "plumbers" have shown and needed to call the boss or management to figure out what to do. The work varies in quality according to who shows. TERRIBLE-worst experience ever! They lied to us. Lied to the City. After the price was given to us they added taxes. Didn't get the right permits. Left us without a working toilet for a weekend. The salesman big big lier! They left a temporary pipe leaking raw sewage in a hole they dug. They left a 12ft long and 8 ft deep hole uncovered for weeks. These guys did a liner from the house to the street and the city will not pass it off. The Rooter Connectionz will not give us the $21,500.00 back, so we can have it fixed. Horrendous service and complete lack of regard for the property. Left a mess everywhere they entered, disregarded the property-owner's instructions (an individual with many, many years of plumbing experience) as to where to dig. Ended up breaking several lines, all while trying to upsell and increase the cost to include a hydrojet. I imagine they have 0 liability insurance. Criminal. That explains our experience with these guys. Long story short. We are new homeowners, and know nothing about furnaces or A/Cs. Well, our furnace wouldn't finalize its ignition. It happened for several days.These guys prey on people like me - people who are ignorant about problems with "scary" appliances. Connectionz sent someone out the same day for a free service call (the reason they can afford free service calls becomes apparent later). Wow...apparently our furnace is on its last leg. The inducer is bad, we need a new pressure switch, and a new flame sensor. $800 to fix it. BUT, our furnace is so old, this would just be like putting a band-aid on a broken leg. The technician knows it is a lot of money, but it will save a whole lot of money over the long run if we just buy a new furnace. $3400 to purchase and install. That's not all. There are obvious signs of freon leaking from the A/C. And the A/C is so old and such a "low-quality" unit, the problem is only going to get worse. He suggests that we need a new A/C unit as well. After all, its in "our" best interest. $3050 for a new A/C. Oh, and they have a special going on if you buy a new A/C you can get a water softener system for just $200. Oh, and they have to move the water heater with the install of the furnace - $250. That is a grand total of $7841.43 after tax. Talk about a nice Christmas surprise. No wonder these guys can afford to do free service calls. Did I mention that these technicians get a commission for all of this...that would be good to know. Well, the wife and I stress about this. How are we going to come up with the money? Its December and we are trying to not take on a 2nd mortgage. But Connectionz is counting on schmucks like me to take their word for it. After all, the technician was "very nice". Thank goodness there are actual good people in this world. We find out a neighbor of ours used to own an HVAC company. He agrees to take a look at our system and give us a second opinion - an opinion that is not swayed by a commission. He gives our unit a quick inspection. His exact words - "whoever these guys are, they're criminals." He then proceeds to walk me through every "concern" the technician had, noting how each and every one was a "load of crap." He pulls the flame sensor out, cleans it off, and replaces it back into the system - it took about 2 minutes. Guess what!?!?!? The furnace started working again. The moral of the story. Connectionz employs criminal tactics to scare ignorant consumers (like myself) into thinking the world is going to end if they don't spend $8000. What took two minutes and a simple wipe down of one small piece nearly cost me a small fortune. I don't know if the other reviews are legitimate, but my guess is some people allowed the "Mr. Nice Guy" routine influence their ratings. If the ratings were based on timeliness and friendliness, they would have gotten 5-stars. But the total experience teeters on criminal. Shame on you Connectionz. read more

do not hire connectionz! update-- the connectionz was hired to move a toilet drain, and ben put it in the wrong place. he asked where i wanted it, i asked that he place the drain the "standard" distance from the wall for a regular, standard toilet. he put the drain far too close to the wall, which we only discovered after the bathroom floor was tiled and we tried to install the toilet. google knows how far a toilet drain should be from the wall but this licensed professional plumber doesn't. unacceptable. read more

Beware of Connectionz Plumbing and Heating. They installed a Moen faucet, it had a lifetime warranty, the faucet developed a drip. I called Connectionz and they sent a plumber. They didn't honor the warranty because the person (Jason) said it was his experience that it was caused by hard water and my water softener was not working. That was nonsense because I had it checked by Superior Water and I don't have any hard water problems and the water softener is working fine. He spent all my time trying to sell me a new softener and recommended that I get a new water heater. They charged me for his opinion without checking for the real reason of the drip. I still have the drip and less in my checking account for a sales pitch. Stay away from this business. Complaint to the BBB is coming. P.S. The plumber Jason said it would cost over $200 to fix, which is more than the faucet. read more

They charged me $12,000 to burst and install a new 25 foot pipe. They expected half up front and half after the job is complete. They came on Thursday, May 27 and dug a hole in my newly finished basement and put in the new pipe but because of the memorial day holiday weekend, they couldn't finalize the job until Tuesday, June 1. A couple of days later, I felt like my downstairs toilet wasn't flushing as well as it did before. The guys showed up on the 27th and they told me they were here to cover my basement pipe and seal it with concrete. I told them that I didn't feel like the new pipe was flowing how it should but they assured me it was installed correctly and they were just there to bury the pipes. I insisted that they camera the pipe to see if there was any blockage but they didn't have a camera so, decided to undo the couplings to see if they could see anything. When they did, five days worth of sewage spilled out into my basement. The smell was... well, you can imagine. They found that the pipe was resting on an old root causing the pipe to "belly". They assured me that they would fix the issue. I needed to go to work so I left them to it. When I got done, I found a heaping pile of sewage mud sitting on top of my new carpet! There was no plastic or anything separating sewage from the carpet we live with. Splatter marks and sewage hand prints were all over the surrounding walls. I couldn't believe it! To my horror I found a sewage foot print path from the hole to the bathroom and up the stairs to outside. Because of their carelessness, my new carpet and parts of the carpet pad were ruined. When I spoke to the company rep, Austin Avellar, and showed him the mess, he said in his professional experience, it wasn't that bad and a simple shampoo should do the trick. I told him I wanted him to replace the carpet and pad but he said, "I am not willing to give up our profit margin for you to get new carpet." I was astonished and not sure what to do. I called a few disaster clean up crews and had them assess the damage and the same answer I got was, "According to the IICRC guidelines anything that comes in contact with this much sewage, needs to be replaced." I called Austin back to discuss my findings and he again said he wasn't going to replace anything but said he would call a disaster clean up company that they use and have them look at our basement. Belinda from Quick Restore came and told us it all needed to be replaced. That day, Austin came out to measure our basement for new carpet, which I appreciated. On June 14th, my wife and I hadn't heard from the company when they would install carpet. I called Austin and he said he would send a guy out on Wednesday, June 16. We had to clear out our basement and move my work office equipment. Wednesday came and went without anyone showing up. We called Austin back and he said they wouldn't be able to make it until Monday, June 21st. I was frustrated because I had to work away from my office on a laptop but were eager to get this finalized. Today is Monday, June 21 and I did not hear from anyone I called them and they said they will for sure have someone here on Wednesday, June 23. My sweet family is living in a mess without half of our house to function in and without any idea when this will be resolved. I don't feel like I have been dealt with professionally nor do I feel like the services they have provided is worth $12,000. I am happy to negotiate on the price but they aren't willing to "lose their profit margin" which makes sense. Yesterday, I got a call from the "owner" named John. He acted like a credit shark and told me he would not install carpet until I gave him his money. I told him I would only give him the rest of the bill once carpet was installed to my satisfaction. If you use this company and you have a flood because they don't do the work properly they will not help you. Check out their Better Business Bureau Rating of F with multiple complaints. Check out how many 1 star ratings they have with issues just like mine. Do not do business with this company. I had them install a water softener and tankless water heater. The water softener was not installed correctly and caused my home to flood. They said they warranty the parts and labor for 12 years but it simply isn't true. I can prove faulty installation on their part without a shadow of a doubt and they still refuse to do anything. I purchased the water softener on Aug 21st, 2020. Our home flooded on April 9th 2021. I went to check and saw there was no hose attached to the overflow outlet on the water softener going into the drain. They came out and said water never overflows out of the overflow outlet but why is there an overflow outlet if it will never overflow? They connected a hose and ran it into the drain. They also securely fastened another drain hose and said they believe that over time water pressure going through the existing drain hose caused it to come out of the drain and flood my home. Whether it flooded because they didn't have a hose from the overflow to the drain or whether it flooded because over time a hose came out of the drain either way that is a faulty installation on their part. We pay professionals to do the installation specifically to avoid an issue like this. Accidents happen and people make mistakes but this company does not stand behind their work and does not honor their warranty or guarantees. They tell you what you want to hear but it's just lip service and if there is an issue you will regret having had worked with this company because they aren't willing to do anything even if you can prove it is their mistake. When I realized I still owed over $1000 dollars I asked them to clear my balance owing so that I could put the money towards the flood damage repairs and they refused. They aren't willing to help with any of the costs for damages from the flood that their faulty installation caused. Their warranty and guarantees are worthless. If there is any problem they will simply refuse to do anything and you'll be on your own and out anything you have already paid them. read more

We had our first appointment set up for Friday of last week. We were told they would be there between 3pm-5pm. Just didn't show. We then got a phone call at 7:45pm stating they were on their way. We had plans of course so we rescheduled for today. Was told our time frame would be 12pm-3pm. My husband received 2 text messages stating they were on their way around 12:45pm. And then received a phone call at 1:00 saying the tech was 20-30 min out. The tech finally showed up just before 3pm. He said we never text him back so he wasn't going to just drive out here. BE AWARE - It cost me $540 to have kitchen drain cleaned (see itemized charges below). The tech was a no-show on our first appointment on Thursday (I had taken time off work to be home during the appointment window) so had to reschedule for the next day (very frustrating). The tech was nice enough, but in the end I feel like I got taken. The tech originally tried to snake the pipe but said I there was something hard that he was having a hard time getting through so thought that sludge buildup wasn't the problem, maybe a problem with the pipe. He suggested using a camera to investigate (additional $90). After the camera inspection he said "I was wrong it was just sludge." Then he said that snaking it wouldn't clear the pipe because the sludge is like peanut butter and will just gum up again. He said it needed to be hydrojetted but it would be $420. I wasn't in a position where I could wait to have someone else come and do the work so I told him to go ahead. To my surprise, he charged me for everything he did even though the snake didn't work and the camera work he suggested confirmed he was incorrect. Below is the breakdown of my charges: $30 - snake drain (which didn't work) $90 - put camera down drain to determine he was wrong and it was just sludge buildup. $420 - to hydrojet drain. The tech was at my house less than 90 minutes. I have since called several other shops around town and have been quoted $260, $295, ad $325 to jet a drain (includes camera to inspect drain). Like I said the tech was nice and he was helpful with questions, but I feel like I paid an exorbitant amount for a drain to be cleaned and the tech was a no show for the first appointment. Most service companies I have dealt with won't charge if they upsell you on a service if the first thing they tried didn't work. I wouldn't go so far as to say beware of this company, but I would say be aware. If you need a drain cleaned, I would look elsewhere first and find out the pricing for hydtrojetting beforehand as I imagine most companies will try and upsell you on it. HOPEFULLY THIS REVIEW WILL HELP OTHERS WHO FIND THEMSELVES IN A SIMILAR POSITION. read more

This company did a great job for us - they performed the services well and at a reasonable cost. As a bonus while performing the follow-up camera line service, the technician also inspected our water heater and let us know that those were also an issue (one water heater is 36 years old - what?!?!). Having this knowledge put us in a position to be proactive. They were also able to work up an estimate for a package deal with all the services needed, which was much appreciated. I had Connectionz come out to clear a couple drains and do some minor repairs. They diagnosed that I lacked a pressure reducing valve by how my pipes shook when the water was turned off. It was a minor repair and potentially saved thousands. They even stayed a couple hours late to install a new toilet. The previous toilet was installed incorrectly and needed a lot of work. They completed the work at no extra charge and stayed well into the evening to make sure I was happy. I highly recommend them and will use them in the future. I wasn't going to write this review, but after witnessing the actions of the young man in the black dodge truck i felt it neccessary. I watched a rooter connectionz truck pull up and two men get out they both walked down to another connectionz truck spoke to someone. Both men started back to the first truck. One getting stuff out of the back, the other getting stuff out of the front. The guy that got his stuff out of the front was visibly upset. Shortly after this the black dodge truck pulled up and two men got out and approached the man standing by the truck. The driver of the black dodge started cussing the man standing by the connectionz truck. Telling him that he didn't give a f$#@ about him and that everyone at the company hated his guts. And that there was no f$#%%$# way he was riding in one of there trucks. The guy stated the only reason the other guy was back at the company was because of someone named Ben. The young guy from the black dodge then proceeded to tell the other man that someone named cortley was his supervisor and that if he didn't like it then he could f@$$%^& quit. If this action reflects the kind of professionalism this company has towards an employee it surely says alot about the treatment we can expect from them as a customer. There is very little positive to report on my experience with this company. They were not timely and I wasted most of my day waiting for them to arrive. I had a tech clear my sewer drain, he seemed knowledgeable and was friendly. He attempted to sell me on a hydro jetting ($1500+) of all my pipes and on their membership program. He had a camera guy come out to assess what my problem was in my main line (again not timely). This is where the experience became awful. The technician seemed friendly enough to start the process but when I told him I would like to get a second quote as well as look into completing the work on my own he became rude, pushy, and disrespectful. I had my dad with me when he was there as he worked his entire career in similar work and would be helping me with whatever repairs were needed. First the tech badgered me on why I wanted a second opinion, then insulted my dad's ability to adequately do the repair job stating 'you will have to do it again in a year if you do it on your own', and then he lied to me about needing a permit from my city to do the work and to have a licensed contractor do it as well. I repeatedly asked him to send me a quote and that I would follow up with a second option and look into my cities regulations. He finally left my home but did not email me a quote. I would pay more for another company to do the work before I would ever use this company. And the follow up with the city; no permits are required nor is a licensed contractor. read more

It was the week of Thanksgiving and we were having trouble finding a company that would work with our schedule. Connectionz came promptly, day of our call. Connectionz saved the day!! The night husband left for hunting a water line blew up causing major flooding to occur in my basement. Because my husband didn't have cell service I found myself scrambling to figure out what to do. Within minutes of being on the phone with Connectionz they walked me through shutting the main water off and within hours the line was repaired! Thank you Connectionz for fast friendly service. I had a terrible experience with this company! I hired them to install an acrylic tub and I had several problems with how it was done... 1. The tub was not positioned correctly and the back flange sits in front of the sheet rock. There was room all around the tub for the flange to sit back behind the sheet rock edge if it had been positioned better. Because of this, the cultured marble surround I had put up had to be specially designed to accommodate for the flange. It cost more money and it looks a little goofy. 2. The plumber (Ben) refused to follow the installation instructions and would not screw the flange into the studs or shim the gaps. The back edge of the tub did not sit up against the studs and was just free floating in the air. Ben assured me it was done well and that I wouldn't have any problems with it. He said it was too risky to screw through the flange and may crack the tub. I was worried about the back edge not having any support and I was not wanting to have problems with it after the cultured marble panels were up so I asked my handyman if he would do it the way the instructions said. He was nervous knowing the plumber said it was risky and so he just put one shim and one screw in the middle of the back edge of the tub exactly the way the instructions said to do to try to make sure the back was supported better. After the cultured marble was put up and I started using the tub, I found it made horrible popping and snapping noises along the back edge of the tub. I called Kohler to ask about it and they said it was because it wasn't installed correctly and needed to be shimmed and screwed into the studs all the way around. They stated that they didn't put things in their instructions that weren't important and necessary or that would be risky for damaging their product. I talked with another plumber who told me it needed to be done the way the instructions stated and that he always installs acrylic tubs that way. I contacted Connectionz and they sent Alex out to look at it. He said he had never heard a tub do that and that the back edge needed to be supported well. He said they had a Kohler rep he would consult with to see where they needed to go from there and would get back with me. I never heard back from him. Two weeks later I called to follow up and talked with Daniel. He was unbelievable rude! He insisted that the tub was installed correctly and it was only my opinion that it should be screwed into the flange and shimmed. He told me the tub was making noises because there had been a screw and shim placed into the back edge and it shouldn't have been. He told me that since someone else had touched the tub since they installed it that they wouldn't take responsibility for it. He told me that I caused the problem by trying to fix it. I asked if they had consulted the Kohler rep. and he said the Kohler rep wouldn't have any input because he wasn't there and hadn't seen the tub. He asked me questions that he never let me answer, interrupted me, and continually talked over the top of me. I have since had the marble panels removed and the top edge secured correctly. When that was done it no longer snapped and popped. 3. The skirt of the tub sat about 3/4 of an inch off the floor after the tub was installed. One wooden shim was placed at one end of the skirt and the rest was left unsupported. Ben told me it was because the floor was not level but a previous plumber had already told me the floor was decently level. I was told by other people doing remodel work in that bathroom and a Kohler rep that the skirt can't be left unsupported like that. The floor tiler ended up pushing tile mortar under the edge to support it. I've been told it's likely the tub was not pushed through the mortar bed all the way to the subfloor like it should have been. 4. Ben did not test the drains after setting the tub. He also didn't put the water pipes back in position as part of setting the tub. I had to ask for him to do that and he did it in such a hurry that the faucet spout was crooked and the screws holding the valve weren't long enough to secure it and it had to be redone by someone else. 5. Although he brought an assistant with him, he carried the tub up a set of narrow, L-shaped stairs by himself and scraped up the banister and the walls and put a ding in a bedroom wall. 6. I never received a receipt for the tub install. Ben had run out of invoices when he was here and said he would e-mail one to me the next day. I never received it. I requested an invoice 3 additional times from 3 different people in the company and never did receive one. I hired these guys because they sounded so confident that they knew exactly how to do it right. I paid them twice as much as the other estimate I received to set the tub and I have spent an additional $600 to fix the problems they created. They were rude and unprofessional once they knew there was a problem. read more

It amazes me that a job they sent their specialized camera down went from 5,000 to $17,000 after missing numerous deadlines and knowing that the main person in charge of a VERY elderly couple was out of town. The only thing they showed up on time for was to demand payments. They could have been working on finishing up the job instead of LITERALLY SITTING ON A ROCK while waiting for someone to come over and inspect their work and pay them. When I got there I was horrified and in shock that they could stand there in good faith and tell me that they were finished and where demanding the rest of their criminal over charge. 5' piles of dirt on sidewalks and lawn...clean out pipe were uncapped and sticking out of grass by 2', entire lawn was now a rock cemetery...every sprinkler had been either destroyed by their digging or ran over by equipment..."they don't do landscaping" they said! Holy - - if I wanted a bomb to go off in the yard I could have done it my self. Very rude, unprofessional greedy bastards taking advantage of old people. These people should NOT be in business. Even after I paid him the majority of it after exchanging many words he promised he would be back that night to finish....NOPE!! He got enough money to celebrate the 4th of July holiday and didn't come back. I wish this site would allow pictures because I have them. If anyone is considering having major plumbing done by this company...please contact me first, after I show you the pictures, you will undoubtedly change your mind. Due to the lengthy and difficult nature of our experience with Connectionz Plumbing, I have provided a brief description of our encounter. I cannot emphasize enough how much we regret hiring them. I cannot recommend them to anyone. We encountered the following: scheduling issues installers arriving several hours late changes to the planned work without willingness to adjust the cost accordingly installers refusing to leave our home after completion of the job (we nearly had to call the police) the General Manager/Owner yelling at us over the phone for 30 minutes an offer for the General Manager to complete the work personally, but leaving before the job was fully finished several requests for final payment before the job was completed the General Manager insisting on a 5-star review during payment discussions (A positive review should not be a point of negotiation, but rather the natural result of a job well done) an installer in our home until 11:00pm without discussion or an offer to return another day the installer leaving us with instructions on how to finish the job ourselves without an offer to return another day to complete the work a final install that looks shoddy and is a huge eyesore in our home We will have to spend hours of our own time to finish the job or hire another company to fix it. After several attempts to contact Connectionz, the owner offered to send someone out again to fix it. I no longer trust them, so I declined, asking instead for a partial refund.
