In my original review from 2017, I detailed how I found them through another plumber and I'm back to give them a #ServiceStarShoutout for the work they've done since then. Not all plumbers are created equal, and when my Request A Quote through Yelp led me to a "fix things in the house" plumber, he referred me to Joe's when it became clear I had a "fix the line that goes outside" problem. Since then, I've had to call on Joe's a couple of times. It's kind of an every-two-years kind of ordeal when you have an old house. I've gotten much better at detecting when the line is starting to slow, and on both subsequent occasions I've called Joe's and made my appointment. They're usually a couple of days out in scheduling, but the receptionist is very efficient in plugging things in and getting the crew out to you. I don't think she's much for a chat, but you'll get scheduled. The crew shows up inside the window they promise, and they've continued to do a nice job clearing out the main sewer line out of the house and this last time were able to show me the debris that was clogging my line. It's nothing unexpected, they're very quick about it, and they ran the whole line twice just to be sure they were thorough. My sewage line was blocked and I had sewage coming out of both toilets and my shower. All other plumbers wanted to rip me off and told me it would be thousands of dollars to fix. Joe's was able to make it the next day after I called them and fixed the issue within an hour. I was so impressed. I would highly recommend them to everyone. Especially as a women, they treated me with so much respect and didn't try to talk down to me or charge me an arm and a leg for things I didn't need. I can't say enough amazing things!! Was referred to Joe's Triple A by my Plummer. We're looking to rough out a bathroom in our basement and wanted to make sure the main drain was in good condition before we started shoring out the foundation. Called and was able to get them to come to the house the next day. The technicians were friendly and efficient. It was a routine job: No obstructions and easy access to the main drain. They were in and out in 15 minutes tops. So far so good, right? Well... when it came time to settle the bill... $250!! They gave me a "discount" but still ended up paying $230 for the service. I was not happy but kept my cool, paid the bill and let the technicians leave. I called a few other rooting/drain cleaning companies to see what they charge and one offered free camera inspection, another offered free inspection as long as you had them do a drain cleaning for $44. So my concerns about their price gouging was confirmed. I called up their office and explained that I was unhappy with the price and asked if there was anything they can do. I was told bluntly that there was nothing they can do and that is their price. End of story. I told her what her competitor's charge and she didn't seem to care. She kept telling me the same thing "well... that's what we charge." I feel taken advantage of... I feel stepped on. I wish they had been more transparent about the cost so I could've gone elsewhere. I honestly didn't think it would be a big deal and would cost so much. I took my Plummer's word for it and trusted that they were reasonable and affordable. I was wrong. I will make sure I never use their services again and will tell others to stay clear. read more

Our sewer line was plugged for the first time in more than 30 years and another rooter company came out but could not unplug our drain. They recommended we call Joe's AAA Drain and Sewer Cleaning and have them try. We contacted Joe's, talked to a nice person on the phone who said they had availability the next day, so we scheduled an appointment. They called and came out the next morning on time. They diagnosed the issue and ran their equipment through the roof vent. After they determined the clog was too thick for a snake, they said that a hydrojet was the next step and they would be back at 2pm. 4 of their senior guys came out at 2pm with a big hydrojet on a trailer and after trying two different nozzles were able to unplug the drain after about an hour. It was a great feeling to see the water recede. Joe's was able to do get the job done with the right communication, equipment, and experience. We'll call them first next time. read more

Their name says "drain & sewer cleaning" but that definitely didn't happen!!! I called the company because I had a problem with my drain. I already knew that it was clogged and about where the clog was at. Basically he was there for about 20 minutes and told me that my "drain is clogged" but then made no effort to fix it. He basically handed me a bill for $99 service charge for identifying that my drain was clogged which is why I called him in the first place! Don't waste your time and money with this company!!! He was a total rip-off and made absolutely no effort to fix the problem! I would rate them 0 stars if it was an option!!! read more

My sister needed to have her East Bench home sewer line video scoped because she'd been having issues. I contacted two other businesses with high Yelp ratings as well. One would not quote me any prices over the phone but said they could come out for a free consult. Another mentioned in an e-mail a $50 special. Both of these made me suspicious. $50 is simply too low; you know they are going to try to sell you something else. Being unable to quote any numbers at all also bothered me. I called Joe's, and they said the scan would be $250 which seemed a reasonable price and was good to know in advance. After the scan, he said the sewer line was in good shape, but the problem was tree roots. He said it would be $250 to $500 to run something through to clean out the roots. He came back a couple days later and charged $350. While not cheap, these fees seem a bargain given the going rates for plumbing or sewer work nowadays. My sister paid close to a $1000 with two earlier visits from Roto-Rooter. Anyway, fair prices quoted up front and no scare tactics from Joe. You can't ask for much more these days. read more

Not to mention they also cleared my main line, and other than the foot prints in the snow they cleaned up and there was no evidence they were at my house. Family owned business, prompt, professional and courteous. Joe and John arrived early and went straight to work clearing the secondary line that led from the laundry room and garage (additions to the orig. structure) to the main sewer line. Their price was fair and Joe advised me on where to find a good 2nd commode for the guest room at a good price. They replaced parts in February that have now gone bad. I called to ask if they had a warranty and the lady that answered the phone said that they only stand behind their work for 30 days. I appreciated the prompt response and the reasonable price. But less than 4 months later the parts they installed need to be replaced again. If they make it right I will edit this review. read more
