This was honestly a solid spot to stop and rest after popping into shops along this street for over an hour. After enjoying a delicious meal by Oh My Gyro (also 5/5, highly recommend), and a few amazing ciders from the taproom, my family ventured towards the orchards and spotted the cute little food truck. My 3 year old daughter HAD to have some ice cream once she saw the picture of the cone on the side, and we walked over ready to enjoy some cold soft serve on a humid July night. Since my daughter already had us locked in for some dessert, I decided to indulge as well, and got myself a chocolate and a vanilla with sprinkles for her. The bread, airy and light, beautifully happy yeast just bounding with lift, defying the constraints of olive oil which left my fingers gloriously glistening. I haven't had a focaccia as happy as that in a minute. Super thin radish, bright pickled shallot and fresh watercress all gave a nice vibrant touch. Ben's cream cheese couldn't possibly be creamier. And the delicate, silky, fresh, luxurious salmon... What a dream. So balanced. I filled my arms with goods- iberico salami, Aleppo chili oil, Blackstrap coffee beans, local chocolates, and an adorable Talbott & Arding puzzle. I'm sure I could have easily convinced myself to buy just about everything I laid my eyes upon. The cheese counter was an absolute work of art. It's clear that Talbott & Arding is a willing servant to the gifts of the surrounding earth and people. The homage it pays is palpable. The only downside was the limited amount of indoor seating available, but that's not a complaint--rather, just something to know if you're planning of stopping in for a bagel. If the weather is cold, the outdoor seating isn't likely an option. I highly recommend Hudson Bagels! If I ever make it back to Hudson, I'll visit this shop again! :-)
