Her vibe and personality is amazing, she's not heavy-handed on the needle, she takes her time and she's honestly very patient if you're needing a break or a moment to just get up and take a quick stretch. Needles are always sanitized, freshly opened. Target area is always cleaned and shaved before the session starts and Danielle always makes sure I'm super comfortable and ready before starting. Overall, everyone in the shop is very nice. Helpful and friendly but Danielle is just my personal go-too lady. I do believe the prices have increased since COVID but it is what it is. Quality over quantity. If you're ever in the Elmont area and looking for a great tattoo shop that you won't regret .. Stop by Solid Gold, they do accept walk-ins! Thank you S.G.T for years of amazing work

I had a terrible experience getting my nose stud changed to a hoop at this shop. For context, the…read morepiercing is 2 years old and had been fully healed for a year. The piercer tried to remove my original jewelry without checking the gauge and mistaked my threadless stud for a screw-top. She had so much trouble removing it that she used two pliers, causing unnecessary trauma to my piercing. Then, she eyeballed the size and inserted a hoop that was clearly too small, causing my nose to bleed further. She then replaced it with a second hoop, again without confirming the proper gauge. My piercing ended up bleeding throughout the entire night. Because the piercer seemed to lack experince, I sought a second opinion who confirmed the gauge was too large and the material wasn't hypoallergenic. I returned to the shop where they refused responsibility, saying they didn't need to confirm my guage because they "know their guages" and dismissed my concerns by saying "all piercers talk sh*t." They've refused to issue a refund despite the clear mishandling. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for safe or professional piercing services.

Spare yourself and don't get pierced here. I made the mistake of trusting this business thinking…read moremaybe it was just new, even though I could barely find ANY info about it online! red flag people! The shop itself looked updated and clean, the piercer and his apprentice friendly until everything went south. I came in for a septum piercing, given no options of sizing or jewelry. I could tell things were not right as soon as he pierced it, as him and his apprentice kept saying nervously how it looked good and would look nicer with better jewelry. Anyways being the non combative person I am and not used to having a nose piercing I just figured it was fine and I was overreacting. UNTIL I left and noticed it looked extremely crooked flipped up. I called back to ask what kind of jewelry was used just for him to get annoyed with me, telling me it does not matter if you use externally threaded or internally threaded jewelry which is a lie (look it up). Anyways I was so unhappy with how it looked I went to a local piercer with extremely good reviews who basically told me this guy pierced it crookedly through my cartilage with cheap jewelry. It's unfortunate as everything seemed quite sanitary and they were friendly but it was not worth my time nor money to support someone who doesn't care about quality.
