The atmosphere in the shop felt cozy but not enough to linger for a bit. Today was more of a quick lets try tea stop. I'm more of a coffee person but the tea was decent. Not sure what all the tea hype is about, considering there are tons of people that make tea at home with super expensive international tea leaves. While peering at the four modern wall menus, there were huge premium strawberry and pistachio croissants made with imported French butter and organic flour and other pastries in the glass display case waiting for consumption by hungry patrons. I was meeting a friend for coffee and he suggested we meet in Sunrise, near his place. I'm not super familiar with that area, so I did some snooping and found 22 Bliss Cafe on Yelp! It was easy to find and had plenty of parking since it's the corner shop in an unassuming strip mall. Inside is quiet, but quaint! I ordered a caramel iced coffee and was surprised at the amount of alternative milk options available (I got oat milk). A lot of "mom and pop" coffee shops have maybe almond milk and that's about it. They also had many food options, from hot breakfast sandwiches to simple pastries in the case up front. I got an everything bagel with cream cheese, and my friend got a hot egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant! My coffee was DELICIOUS! My bagel was good as well, but that would have been hard to screw up. We sat at one of the tables and chatted, and despite it being a small place I never felt like we were being overheard by others. I can honestly say that I had kind of low expectations for this place, but I really enjoyed my experience! It wasn't flashy in any way, just good coffee and treats! Pleasantly surprised was in the same plaza and saw Café so came over to check out what they had available. The aesthetic isn't your typical Instagramy spot but immediately upon entering the two people working, they greeted me in Spanish. They were both very nice and pleasant. I ordered an iced caramel latte with oat milk and it was great. Really really enjoyed. Would definitely get again. I also got a banana nut muffin, which was not made from there but no complaints with the muffin. The prices are less than the big name spots, and the quality is way better than what you'd get at those other spots. The people who work there are super friendly and accommodating to the special coffee concoctions. The cafe con leche is the best you'll find in the area. I just moved into the neighborhood and was excited to find a possible new favorite cafe. The pasties all had shrink wrap and/or plastic wrapping. Since none of those were fresh, I ordered a French Vanilla coffee and egg, turkey bacon and cheese sandwich on a bagel. The coffee is SUPER strong but still tasted good. The sandwich had no flavoring at all, not even salt & pepper or garlic powder....nothing. The bagel tastes as good as Lenders in the refrigerated department at supermarkets. I wouldn't say they are friendly as they spoke in a different language in front of me, while looking right at me and laughing. I asked what did you guys say (since I'm sure it was funny because I had purple peace sign tape on my glasses), she just smiled at me and shrugged. When my food was finished, it was just left on the counter for me to grab. No calling my name, no nod, no thank you, no have a nice day. I'm an avid iced cafe latte drinker and came here looking for the same thing I order (to my specifications) everywhere else. It was made to perfection the first time, second time and by the third time Tom knew my name and my order. I'm not sure what expresso bean they use or their process but it goes down smoothly with a great flavor. I've requested they add an extra large size to their menu and apparently I'm not the first to make this request. Needless to say I've been coming here ever since. They offer a variety of coffee, expresso & other beverage options as well as some breakfast and lunch items. They also sell coffee by the pound. I've had their bacon, egg and cheese on a croissant and it was made to order fresh and delicious. It's a great local coffee shop to just go chill, read the paper or catch up on some emails without the music, loud noise and/ or chatter. It's also good for breakfast & coffee on the go before work, lunch or a midday pick me up. Sadly they are closed on Sundays and Mondays. This is the best iced cafe latte I've had in West Broward at the most affordable price. Than I had the iced latte. I asked for the Irish creme but they were out of it, no denoting on rating there, so just got the hazelnut. That was pretty good, but not as sweet as I would have liked. I brought home the veggie and hummus wrap and the cafe con leche to my mom and she enjoyed both. She said the coffee was, quote unquote, very good. This is a great and affordable little cafe located in a plaza. Although it does not have a drive through, I think it's a cheaper alternative to Starbucks. They offer pastries and cafe drinks. My favorite go to drink is a medium iced matcha green tea latte with nonfat milk. It is a great treat and it's way cheaper than elsewhere. They also serve iced coffee with coffee ice! The staff were friendly and quick to serve us. They also sell coffee by the pound. They have lots of specialty coffee to choose from. My husband loves their iced coffees. He orders them bold and black. Whenever we're in the mood for some good drinks, we would stop by here to pick up some drinks. I'm disappointed to have to review this spot so low but my Ultimate Wrap was terrible. It had absolutely no flavor, no seasoning what so ever. The wrap looks good but did not deliver any satisfaction to by tastebuds. The vegetables make the wrap extremely soggy and the plate they serve it on is lopsided, so every time I tried rotating the plastic plate the juices just kept swimming and totally saturated the wrap, it was a mess! This cafe is easy to miss and gets lost in a sea of other businesses in a plaza off of Sunrise. I happened to be in the area and wanted to try a new coffee spot and found this one nearby. Upon walking in, the shop was clean and open and you could tell that this is a neighborhood spot and that most of the patrons are probably people who have been coming for years. They have an eclectic assortment of framed prints that decorate the walls, with most of them being caricature like portraits. The seating is what you would find in a diner, with about 5 tables indoors and maybe about 4 2-seat tables outside. It is not an upscale or modern place, by any means, but has that nice comfortable, lived-in feel. I much prefer a clean comfortable place, as opposed to an ultra modern or fancy spot with high prices and subpar hygiene and prices that don't match the quality. On to the good stuff: The staff all seemed very friendly. Alex was my ever-so-competent barista and he was very patient whenn answering my (numerous, annoying) questions, always with a smile. He even gave me a mini sample from a blended beverage he just made for another customer, which ended up completely deterring me from getting my usual order (Iended up ordering a version of the drink he gave me to sample). It was so delicious, how could I not? It was just a hazelnut blended latte. I ended up ordering a hot medium half-caff soy latte with hazelnut and half the sugar (yes, I starbux'd the sht out of my order. and how NICE were they about it?!). WOW, so yum. I decided to treat myself, since I normally don't get my drinks with sugar because this was worth it. The coffee here is all organic. I repeat, ALL the coffee is organic. Prices range from $1.80 to 4.50. You can order your beverage hot, iced, or blended. Also, you can change up the milk and customize your coffee with different flavors for an additional $0.49 for each modification. At most, you are spending less than $6 for a completely customized, organic coffee. REALLY??! A quick note: they do have food options but I wasn't hungry so I didn't get to try anything on this first visit, and I was in such a frenzy to get my coffee that I didn't properly look at the menu. Otherwise, I probably would've ordered something to try, regardless of my appetite, because that's just how I live my life. Also, in case you were wondering, the DO have wifi, but get your coffee to-go, you squatter. Let me sum all that up: Great Organic Coffee with nondairy milk options Awesome, Friendly, SMILING faces to start your morning off or get you through your afternoon slump Quick Service Affordably Priced Locally owned and operated The only 2 cons: it's not closer to my house and it closes at 4:00PM I will definitely be coming back and I recommend this spot to any and everyone. This coffee shop is hidden in a shopping plaza and I would've never found it if it hadn't been for Yelp! Once inside it's not a very big shop. They have limited seating but it wasn't packed when I went (Friday). There were only two people inside sitting down and reading. The decor isn't hip like most coffee shops I go to, but all I was looking for was a good matcha latte! The employee working there was super friendly and even brought my drink to me (I was sitting at a table) when it was done. - Green Tea Matcha Latte: The matcha latte from here is one of the best I've had to date. So happy I came here for a quick bite to eat and coffee. They hard a good variety of coffees to choose from (their coffees are organic). I had a Coffee Americano and Turkey Wrap. It was sooo good. The turkey wrap was your choice of bread (spinach, wheat, tomato), with your choice of toppings and sauces. The wrap is pressed and served with chips. It was the best wrap I ever had. I was soo sad when it was finished. The coffee was really smooth with a big jolt of expresso on the back end. The place itself is a little run down, but they do have outside seating available.
