Tonight we ordered two pizzas, one was a double decker with pepperoni, sausage and onion and the other was a garden veggie pizza. Both were very good, but I wished the veggie pizza had a flavorful base instead of nothing. Otherwise another great visit to Walt's. We did not eat in this time so I cannot review the interior. The service for take out was simple and easy.

There were three flavors to choose from (garlic butter, lemon pepper, or sausea's sauce) & I picked sauseas (mixture of cajun, lemon pepper, and garlic butter). I rated an 8/10 because the flavor was there, but the lemon pepper was a little over powering! The inside of the restaurant was underwhelming, but service was great! Complimentary salad and garlic bread was a nice touch. Definitely will go back for the boil & to try other menu items!

Raise a glass to the ghost of Pags…read more For the past 25 years, this was the place that we compared all other pizza to. As soon as you walked in the door, that heady smell of rising dough, fresh-made tomato sauce and baking cheese welcomed you like an old friend. As soon as we entered the parking lot and saw only one car there at 8:30 on a Friday night in a college town, we started to worry. I had seen in the reviews here that ownership had changed, but retained some small hope that the Pags we knew still existed. But no. There may have been a wisp of an aroma but we realized pretty quickly that it must have just been a ghost. Since we still had 7 hours on the road ahead of us, we had called our order in. The fact that the staff didn't understand what "dine in" meant for our order meant that both the person who took the order on the phone and the manager they consulted hadn't bothered to communicate to the rest of the staff. So our pizzas were boxed up and waiting when we got there - but not in anything that would keep them warm. The server plated them on pizza platters, but didn't bother warming them up, so they were barely above room temp when served. And the pizza itself? Boring. Pedestrian. Like any other pizza made with Sysco products. My "thin and crispy" was thinnish, but by no stretch of the imagination was it crispy. The savory, crunchy crust I remembered was replaced by an anemic 1/4 inch rim, no crunch. No flavor. SO and YO split a "thin and chewy," which had the weirdest edge I think I've seen. SO reports it "perfectly adequate;" everything that made Pags special was lacking. "Sure was pizza." The staff were nice. The floor by the counter was really sticky - to the point that I could both feel and hear my shoes sticking. That was gross. We were last here about 15 years ago, so I guess that will have to be the Pags we remember. This one is perfectly forgettable.

We love Texas Roadhouse, but no one in our group will go back to the Marion, IL location because it was so loud. The waitress encouraged us to order another to get "the deal" so we did get one to go. By the time we got our food we had been there an hour and a half already which was fine. But by the time we finally tracked someone down for a check We were there 2.5 hours at this point. Our waitress was busy, which again was fine but we needed to leave as it was nearing 9pm so that's why we grabbed someone and asked to split the check three ways. Then our waitress came back and said because we split it three ways we didn't get the appetizer deal. We asked if she could redo the checks then and she said "no I can't redo them" which I don't feel is true. So now we paid full price for an appetizer we were encouraged to get for "a deal" and no discount, no appetizer comped, but we left after three hours there with three beer tokens as an apology I guess. We live over an hour a way so these are useless. I've been once before and now I'm upset I recommended and took my whole family here for my birthday. Definitely not worth the drive.
