Nice find in the small town of Christopher, Illinois. Came to this town for my son's wrestling meet and needed to grab a bite after work and before his match. Very nice interior and much bigger than it looks from the outsides. Steaks, some pasta and some handheld selection. I got the Eroni Special, which is a garlic past and melted cheese with a grilled chicken breast on top. It was fantastic! Pasta with a pizza-like cheese pull, you can't go wrong! Came with a decent sized salad. Only $13! I washed it down with a delicious pint (or two) of a fine Pilsner. The servers were quick, attentive and super friendly. Went for pasta bar I ordered a full order got 1/2 order for granddaughter. Dinner came with a nice sized salad but was disappointed due to it being warm with soggy lettuce got my pasta and you chose your meats and vegetables along with pasta and sauce you want. Pasta was very watery with very little toppings not like it use to be lacked flavor very bland. Granddaughters 1/2 order has twice the size of full order and 5 bucks cheeper I ordered peas in my pasta and it literally only had 2 peas in it read more

We had a private birthday party at T-Street tonight. Our party consisted of 40+ people. The young man taking care of our entire group, I think his name was Joe, was fantastic! To my knowledge, not a single food order was wrong and he was on top of every drink order. He did all this with a great attitude. He even offered to assist with decorating prior to the party. All the waitresses were nice except one with blonde curly hair. I do not recommend going in there on Thursdays.

Just ate here the other day. How people can spend their hard earned money here is beyond me. It's expensive, you get small portions that leave you hungry after and the food is made by amateurs in my opinion. It's like eating food you could make at home yourself. We love going to T Street! You will often see the owner out on the floor speaking with patrons which really says something about how important the customers are to him. The food is always phenomenal! Pay attention to the specials for the night as they are always great! Our favorite appetizer is hands down the pub chips. We love the Prime Rib, the Wings, the Grilled Chicken Monterey, among many others! Our kids love the Kids Fish! We cannot recommend visiting this establishment again and again! read more

Disappointed. Usually have fine service and very good food and last night we didn't get either. We had a large party (which I notified them in advance about). I ordered wine I had to ask for three times. Salads came out before the appetizer, my steak was ordered medium and was way past well done and one of the people in our party didn't get his food until everyone else was nearly finished. The kids both ordered the Kraft Macaroni and Cheese and it was inedible. My son said it tasted like it had been sitting for two hours. There were other things, but this is the bulk. We are typically very patient and understanding since we do bring a lot of people at once. We were there to celebrate my mother's birthday and my brother's father in law's birthday. For "dive bar" food, T Street is great. The best days to go is on Mondays, which is their "pound of wings and pound of beer" nights, and Saturday nights where they have a pasta bar, where you can get almost any pasta with anything in it. While the price of it has increased (nearly $20 for one person), it is sometime worth the price. They have steak, chicken, clams, meatballs, scallops and a number of other quality options for the pasta. The only major recommendation is that you should arrive early, as they open at 4 PM. First reason is because night time can get busy. The second reason is, if you aren't from southern Illinois, overhearing some of the conversations in this place will make the average person not from the south go absolutely crazy. Go early, eat, then leave. But still, it is good. Take out is always an option as well. read more

Had a pretty weird experience there tonight. Our server forgot half the food for our table. When she brought it nearly one hour after ordering it was cold. My pasta bar choice was not hot. But they have wonderful salads. Our server ignored us most of the night. We had a spilled drink and had to stand up and shout to get help. The food is usually great. No idea what happened tonight. Best Caesar salad I've ever had and the size that comes with your meal is very good size. Good steaks, pasta and chicken.

I don't know how the health department hasn't shut down their "pasta bar". It was disgusting. The cook has one pair of tongs. Which he uses to dish out raw steak, shrimp, chicken and all of the veggies. After he dishes all of that out into a pan he drops the tongs back into the raw shrimp bowl. The entire prep and cooking area was filthy. The burners kept going out while the food was cooking. He kept pulling a lighter from his pocket to light the burners. I stood in line for an hour while the milk he used to make the sauces sat out next to his hot plate. The pans they cooked in had (I hope) been run through a dishwasher but still had remnants of the previous pasta dish on them. He didn't wear gloves and his hands were so dirty he was leaving hand prints on all of the dishes. I was so disgusted by the preparation I only took a few bites of my pasta before I couldn't stomach anymore. A few hours after my meal I got sick. No doubt food poisoning. I will not be returning. After what I saw at the pasta bar in the viewing area I would hate to know what goes on in the kitchen during food prep. read more
