Went here for a pedicure two weeks ago. I got regular nail polish. All of the polish on the wall was watery and looked very old. That should have been my sign to turn around and leave. The guy who did my pedicure did not speak a lick of English. The lady next to him had to tell him everything that needed to be done. He started to paint my toes and the owner came and took over because he was doing an awful job. One week later my big toe chipped (my toenail polish usually lasts a month even longer) now on the second week and it has all flaked off. By far the worst nail salon I have gone to for a pedicure. The chairs were not comfortable. Everything was dirty inside. The lights were flickering above the pedicure chairs. The only thing I enjoyed was the 10 minute foot/leg massage. Nice nail salon. About 5 workers were in when I got there, at 3:45PM on a Friday before Easter. I waited for about 25 minutes then an lady started on my nails. She use to work at VP by Target awhile back, guess she left and came her. She was very patient with me, considering I changed my mind on the color 3 times before painting. She gave me compliments as well. She painted my nails but I didn't like how she left paint on the side of my finger. And one of my nail shape was off, kinda slanted. No chip, mood change color, coffin shape, acrylic was $30 They seem to know their customers by name so I'm guess they build relationships and see each other a lot. Customer loyalty is always a plus. Came here with my bridesmaids and mom to get our nails done before my wedding. We had a group of 8 and the salon was very accommodating. The staff spoke English well and we were pleased that they were interacting with us and were very friendly. The male owner was almost a little too comfortable joking around with us, but at least he was a nice guy. Didn't have any problems with any of the manicures or pedicures for any of the girls. One of the staff (a taller woman) did a great job on my toes but was obviously making disgusted faces while scraping off my calluses, so that was a little off putting. She also started talking in another language immediately once she started noticing how bad my feet were (hey, saving for married life all summer!), and it was quite obvious that she was talking to another woman about my feet. That was definitely a turn off. But none of the other staff did this to the other girls, and other than for this 10 minute time span, they never spoke in the other language. I'm still here and I can't wait to come back! I've had such a hard time finding a place where the nail tech understands me well enough to make my nails as short as I need them, being in the medical/esthetics field. I chew on my fingers really badly so I have to get acrylics, but I really can't have a free edge... Other places never got them short enough, but they are perfect right now! My pedicure isn't finished, but she speaks perfect English as well, and was knowledgeable when I asked about the waxing done here. I'm not sure they have the proper licensing to do body waxing here, but they follow good sanitation procedures so I wouldn't be too worried, personally. This salon is 3rd world-like and very low end. Tacky decor and filthy, with thick dust, grime and cobwebs, filled with dead insects. Spiders visible too! The greeter, who did not speak English well, filed my nails before the manicurist started. She was judgmental that I had short nails and she was also sick and coughing. My hands were soaked in a melamine cereal bowl of luke warm water with no cutilcle softener. When it was time to wash my hands, there was no soap and the manicurist said "just rinse them." There was a bowl of scrub on the filthy counter top I was to use, which looked gross, so I didn't. She then directed me to take a hot towel out of the heater; I asked she do this, as I nearly scalded my hand trying to do so myself. At my request, she sighed loudly and made a fuss to get it for me. The paint job was okay. But my cuticles were still tough and not all removed and that is why I get manicures in the first place. It is day 3 and nails are already chipped. We called today to get 2 SOAK-OFFS, which was clearly stated on the phone, where they said they charged $15 each & to come right in. As soon as we walk in, the atmosphere is off. For a Sunday morning there was only two technicians with one or two clients. We are seated immediately where the woman technician starts my nails first. As she looks at the nails she asks "Where did you get these done?" & I reply "I don't really remember, it was a place in downtown" & she instantly catches an attitude. She proceeds to drill the no chip off my nails & clips them down. She starts picking at my nails to see if they were lifting & responds "We are going to have to soak these off, the acrylic is too hard" when I'm thinking, well yes we're paying for a soak off. My nails start soaking & she moves on to my friend. Same thing, asks where she got them done, clips them & drills fhe no chip off, instead this time she starts popping the nails off. My friend vocalized that this hurt when they proceeded to pop them off. When she gets to the other hand, the technician tries to pop off a damaged nail where my friend asks her to soak it off since the nail is growing back. She continues to pick at the nail with the clippers when I say "she told you that hurts can you just soak it off" & she says okay. She has a damaged nail & the thumb nail stuck on now soaking when we now both switch to the male technician. He tells my friend to take her nails out the acetone because it needs to dry when she asks why since it's only been a few minutes. He says I can just pop them off. We again explain how we called for a SOAK-OFF because we can pop them off ourselves & save $15. He proceeds to pick at the nails & press down on them. My friend says again that they hurt & he responds by saying "if I can't touch them with my hands I definitely can't touch them with a drill". The issue is the nails wouldn't have been sore if they just soaked them off instead of trying to pry them off her hands. This continued as he tries to argue saying it's not their fault & keeps trying to press down on her nails, as if it was funny. My friend is now irritated & waits in the car. As I'm finishing my service, the male technician continued to talk shit about my friend saying it wasn't their fault & how does she expect them to drill it off if it hurts to the touch. As I go to pay he says "$15 for you & $10 for her" where I respond "$10? You didn't even soak them off" & she didn't even finish the service. Where he responds "yes" with an attitude. Now my friend has paid $10 for a service that wasn't even fulfilled. Would NEVER recommend this salon. read more

I had high hopes going into this place and was seriously let down and ended up with an infection in my nail 2 days later. To start out while I was in there a woman was complaining about service and the owner completely disregarded her concerns. While he was trimming my cuticles he literally cut a chunk out of my thumb that started bleeding. They put some solution on it and it is now infected. My entire thumb is swollen and in pain. I went in today to get my nails done, they did a fantastic job. I bite my nails very short, which makes it difficult for nail technicians to work on them. the nails stay on for weeks and they are reasonably priced. 25 for acrylics and 40 for pink and white gel. Mixed review. The nail tech was sweet, very detailed, did everything I asked and did a good job. But when I arrived the guy at the door was very rude and snappy. Then I broke a nail, no fault of the theirs, the guy was the only one there. He was still very rude and had a horrible grumpy look on his face. Friendly, clean and they do a great job. I've been here numerous times and have been taken care of each visit. They have never rushed my service which I appreciate because I have them done to relax. They never push me to upgrade, but I do every time and I enjoy the hot stone massages, paraffin dip and scrub on my hands/feet. My nails keep their manicure and pedicure longer than they have at other places which is one of the reasons I have 5 stars. I've seen the ladies out in town and they always say hi to me which makes me feel appreciated! I will be back again! Tips are cash only, so remember to bring it! read more

I was not happy with how my nails turned out so I let them know & the lady who did them argued with me for 5 minutes in a loud harsh voice as a customer who paid for her service half way in as asked to if I do not like something it should be fixed right away ! I wish I could give 0 stars... I tried this place for the first time because I was impatient for a (gel) fill and they had great reviews. I should have been more patient. First of all, they told me I would need a full new set to switch from pink gel to the natural (as my sister easily did at her salon in aurora, without getting a full new set). I ended up keeping the pink so I wouldn't have to pay another $50 for a full set, even though I knew they were lying. I also switched from purple gel tips to black, but realized they only painted on black tips with standard polish, rather than using gel, which bubbled up and was uneven. The tech even smeared some of the black on the pink, leaving a few nails looking slightly dirty. In addition, I wanted a basic design on my ring fingers in black- he did it in white, very shakily, and even did it on the wrong side of my left nail! (Both should be on the outside of the nail, but I got one of each). The design doesn't even start at the tip or go all the way to the corners and is very sloppy. The lighting in there was terrible so I didn't notice this until I was on my way home. 6 days later, the black "tips" are lifting on almost all of my fingers! I researched this, and its either that they didn't cure them properly (but its not gel so idk), didn't buff them well enough first, or didn't seal them off properly. Either way, this shows me that they don't know (or care) what they're doing. I will be calling them to see what they can do for me to fix these problems, but I don't expect much from them at this point. I will NEVER return here otherwise, and have learned to be more patient. Do not waste your time or money for something that's not cheap and will be half-assed. read more

Terrible experience- went yesterday to get a pedicure, new to the area and looking for a new salon to start going to. The girl who did my pedicure said nothing and after 15 minutes was done with below satisfactory results to say the least-the pedicure was so rushed for some reason-4 of the 10 toes she painted above the nail onto skin so it looked sloppy, one toe was smudged, and she then practically ran out of the place after I walked over to the dryers. The other woman there was playing candy crush and didn't look up once-I'm not the complaining type and she was there with her daughter clearly wanting to close once I left so I paid after waiting 15 minutes to dry. I contacted the manager David today and he said they had no interest in fixing my nails and could careless about my experience. I would give 0 stars if it was an option. read more

When I walked in, there was a woman at the front desk, she asked what service I wanted, I told her that I wanted the no chip removed and just a regular manicure. There were3 other employees, 2 women and a man. The man was working on a customer's nails and from what it sounded like, he was scolding her because she smudged the wet polish. The woman from behind the counter directed me to sit at a table, upon first glance the place seemed nice. At first the girl (I think her name was Carmen, she never said), once I started talking to her, she opened up. She did tell me about her family and friends. I noticed that a small bug (maybe a gnat?) was hovering & crawling on the table next to me, I shooed away with my elbow. Once she finished removing the no chip, she told me to wash my hands and get my own hot towel out of the machine. When I came back she was texting her friends (she told me so). I was very surprised, 1. It's poor customer service 2. I'm sure the Health Dept. and their insurance company would frown on that. Once the color as on, she had me sit at the nail dryers but didn't tell me for how long. By now all the employees were working on customers (2 of which were extremely loud). The woman rom behind the counter told Carmen to take the customer who was waiting fro an eyebrow wax, she took her in back. When she came back up front a few minutes later, Carmen grabbed her backpack and phone and walked out the front door. She never said anything, didn't tell me how much longer to dry my nails, didn't tell m how much it was, didn't take payment, didn't even wait for her tip. So when I saw her drive away through the window, I asked the other employees, "Did she leave?" They said Yes, I said, how much longer should I sit here , I didn't pay or leave a tip. They said 10 minutes and you can leave the tip with us. About 1 minute later, I stood up & walked to the front counter, they said did you pay? I said, no she just left. One employee yelled to the other $20. So I gave her the $20 and asked for change for another $20 so I could leave a tip. She came back with the change and started to walk away, I asked her if she would take the tip, she said just leave it on her table. I wasn't sure if I heard her correctly because she was walking away. I asked again, not one employee answered. I said Excuse me, what should I do with her tip, they said to leave it on her table, which I did. Like I said in the beginning,I will NEVER go here again and do not recommend it to anyone! I had a French manicure on Friday at 3pm and by Saturday at Noon it was cracking and chipping. By Sunday evening I had to remove the polish as 4 nails were completely chipped and looked terrible. I would not recommend this salon. By far the worst manicure I have ever had read more

Not sure what they did during my manicure but that same night my fingers started itching then around all of my nails my skin started to blister and peel. It took over 3 months for my hands to completely heal. When I went into the salon to show them what happened they blamed on me (from cleaning). First of all I was out of town where I was not around any cleaning supplies and the fact it started almost immediately after leaving the salon leads me to believe it was something they used on my fingers. Went to get my nails done with a friend. She had made an appointment with a specific lady, after we arrived at our SCHEDULED time the lady who made her appointment was already taken and I was then stuck with David. I had a terrible experience and many of my friends have had similar experiences. He did an extremely sloppy job, he rushed through everything and the overall appearance was terrible. Nails were crooked,were very thick, polish was thick and bubbly and nail was not filed down at all. About three coats of polish and two coats of clear were applied to the already thick nails. I went to get them fixed a few hours later and he said my fingers were crooked and there was nothing he could really do. He filed down the tops even more to the point they were too short and slanted. He then thought it was a good idea to apply yet ANOTHER coat of clear polish and wipe with alcohol before they were dry. They ended up looking worse than the first time. My acrylic nails did not even last a week I payed $40 for a terrible job and when I went to fix it they made them worse. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. read more

I am a regular at 21 Nail Spa but after today's experience I am looking for a new nail place. I came in for a fill and was taken right away by older gentlemen who I have never seen before. I told him I wanted to get my nails filled, I wanted the tips red and I wanted a design. Long story short you could tell he was new to doing nails or very nervous. He filed all my cuticles off with the drill, burned and cut me about 10 times in the process. After that was finally over he proceeded to put the acrylic on which burned terribly after being cut and burned. When I went to get polished he had someone else do the designs which I'm ok with. But then when she was done he quickly put on top coat and smeared the red tip and designs all together. When I pointed that out he said sorry and told me to go dry for 5 minutes. I paid the 35 dollars and tipped well as usual but I am definitely very dissatisfied and will not be returning! read more
