Not many things to offer or buy. Only two people working but they were nice. Good service but not much stock.

When I first walked into Comex Hobby, I didn't see anything that was particularly interesting--just…read moresome model kits and not-so-exciting action figures. But then I turned around, and a set of giant boobs, at least giant in a miniature sense, were staring me right in the face. It was Japanese sexism in woman characters at its best. These were action figures of various characters--I think some of them might have been from video games--that were hyper-sexualized and wearing very little clothing. In fact, in some cases the figures wore no clothing, and only their hands covered the places that separate this from being pornographic. But before I go too much on a feminist rant, I did find some other really cool stuff here. Everything in this store is imported from Asia. I found all this awesome Nintendo merchandise like Mario, Yoshi, and Princess keychains, key-lights, and wallets. I wanted to buy so many of these things, and I'm already thinking about Christmas presents for people (and myself!). They even had a little stuffed doll of Domokun--you know that cute, brown character from that popular poster that says, "Every time you masturbate... God kills a kitten - Please, think of the kittens." I really wanted to buy him, to always remind me not to masturbate. Although I ranted a little about the sexist action figures, this place is actually a super cool store--probably the best Asian import store I've been to.

My husband has purchased model supplies at Comex Hobby and asked me to picked up bare metal foil…read more I didn't know what it was or what it would look like so I went to the supply section and looked for it. Since I couldn't find it, I asked the sales associate if they had it. He checked with another associate and yes, they had it. They didn't have a dedicated hanger for it and it was behind another product. The packaging looked worn like it had been there for a year, or years. The last time I went, I bought a model paint rack for my husband as a gift. I asked the associate where it was as I thought this would save time than me trying to find it. They only had one left and the box was dented it but it had plastic covering it. The words on the box were written in Japanese but I hoped it wouldn't require much assembly. There always seems to be enough staff available to ask for help, if needed. The prices seem a little high but being in the mall, I would expect a bit of a mark up. I don't think the return policy is great, but then again, they wouldn't want people opening products or using them and then bringing them back. Decent store for those who like models and needs supplies, board games, and anime products.

Wow. Being in the ever-boring Millwoods Town Centre, I wasn't expecting Warp III to have the kind…read moreof comic book selection they had. From DC to manga to Marvel, you name it, it's here. I came in looking for some Naruto and Cowboy Bebop merch and left more than satisfied. They've also got a wide array of table-top gaming gear here too, if you're into that stuff. The manager is really friendly, as well. He saw me taking a picture of their life-size Batman statue and suggested I get in the picture and let him take it (much to my embarrassment). A real hidden gem in Millwoods Town Centre. Nerds of South Edmonton, don't miss out!

Being a super geek at heart, I fell in love with this store the moment I saw it. They have an…read moreamazing selection of comics/graphic novels/books. Every time I go, I discover a new series and wind up spending way more money than I intended. They have a table set up to the side where people are often playing what I believe is dungeons and dragons? Magic? I don't know, those are my best guesses haha. The staff members are always really helpful and friendly. They also leave me alone while I'm shopping which I appreciate. When I'm picking books I like to take my time and not be bugged. My only criticism (and before you read this I want you to know that I'm aware this is such a stupid thing to complain about haha) is that they are always discussing the newest episodes/movies of things I like and I hear so many spoilers! Like I said, that's kind of a silly thing to complain about but it bugs me!
