The store was jam packed with shoppers galore and seemed to be a pretty happening place. The staff were friendly and there was a large variety of comic books to peruse. The kiddos like the young reader book section (great choices for graphic novels). I didn't realize they bought and sold books here as well. A highlight of this location is the life-size Doctor Who Tardis. While this isn't our local comic book store, it's always fun to check out another Comic Book store and see what's new! Two Thumbs Up!

Danica is a kind of "comic whisperer," with a great talent for suggesting titles you'll love based on other things you've liked. She's introduced me to so many great books. Brandon is also fantastic. I've absolutely had the experience of getting ignored when shopping for comics, and the personal attention Danica and Brandon give to all their customers is really fantastic. I also really appreciate the number of community driven events they host in the store. Overall, a fantastic addition to the community.

Made the trek out to Camrose this AM to visit Quantum Comics & Collectibles in their new location…read more(previously in Mill Woods). Beautiful location with lots of room & plenty of free street parking, too. We made the trip out today to pick up Batman fidget spinners for a birthday party this weekend - great price and in a case! Our little guy picked out a couple funkopops today ( huge selection) and the hubs of course picked up some comics. We even got an acrylic case to wall mount his favourite comic. The owner, Bodhi, was there today. Super knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the various gaming options. Be sure to follow them on Facebook for the latest releases, promotions, and of course contests. They also do various gaming nights here! We will be back!

I had never heard of it before so I decided to pop-up to the second floor and check it out. It shares the space with Shades of Grey Tattoos. The owner or manager started chatting with me as I looked around. He mentioned that the Tattoo shop already had some comic back issues and toys but he has come in to run a bigger comic/collectible store in half the space. It looked like things were still getting set -up so I am assuming this part of the shop is still quite new. Because they share the space it is a much smaller shop than many other comic/collectible places but it still is pretty cool. They have a great selection of vintage toys and he also showed me some certified comics worth between $2500-$8500 each! If you are into comics and collectibles you should definetly check out this shop!

Their new space feels cozy but it larger than I expected it to be. It is bright and colourful, particularly in the juvenile section. Their focus is on graphic novels, comics, and manga andy do a great job choosing featured books to fit their community. They also sell a collection of action figures, toys, and games with something for everyone. I most recently visited on Free Comic Book day (first saturday in May!) and they did a great job making it a fun, engaging experience with artist guests and activities. Rolling Tales is a great addition to the downtown community!

The negative reviews I've read here seem to expect some kind of big-box-store phony PR campaign from the staff. I think they are mistaking people who are naturally shy or introverted (typical comic book readers?) with being unfriendly or unwilling to help. When I've taken the time to engage with the guys who work here I've had nothing but great experiences, digging through crates to find a certain story arc with my favorite characters, getting recommendations based on other things I've enjoyed, having variant covers set aside until they're ready to go on sale, etc. I'm always greeted by someone at either door when I walk in, and even though they know me by now they always ask if they can help me find anything. I don't know what people are expecting. Complimentary tiramisu? Overall this place is a great regular stop if you're a comic book, tabletop or action figure/memorabilia collector and I strongly disagree with reviews stating that the customer service is lukewarm. If you're comfortable in any other hobbyist shop you'll be comfortable here.

It really could lead to some uncomfortable encounters with staff or patrons simply because of the layout of the store. In addition I was there with a tall person recently and the items hanging from the ceiling hit his head. This is not good in general. It's a very disorganized clutter-filled store. And feels unusually crowded even when not many people are in there. I would much rather patronize other similar stores in Edmonton that do not have quite such a cluttered/unsafe aesthetic. It also took us a LONG time to find a staff member to help us in searching for a comic we were seeking (it was unavailable). It's good that this part of town has comics/games/etc. options for shopping but I really wish that it were more of a friendly place to shop, especially for people who are new to particular hobbies.

We just parked at the back and walked around. The book we were getting signed was displayed right after walking in. There was confusion which way the line was going to pay though. The line when straight back but then it hit a book shelf and people lined up on either side of it. For busy times, it would be great to know where to stand. The layout isn't ideal with the shelves forming a V instead of horizontal lines. Even though the layout isn't great, the store is big and has lots of selection. They had children activities going on and it was great to see staff there and families doing crafts. The book signing line was along the wall by the Starbucks. People would cross to access the magazine area but it wasn't a major inconvenience for everyone. The staff were good to make sure we paid for our book and asked for our names for the book to be personalized. Someone offered to take our photo with the author which was a nice touch. I didn't browse much but did see to the side of the cash area is the stationary and gift area. A great addition to the strip mall but not a place I would frequent on busy weekends.
