Although I ultimately received the tenant's security deposit back, it came nowhere close to covering the stress and thousands of dollars I had to pay out of pocket due to the negligence of this property management company. During the tenancy, significant damage occurred to my home that I was never informed about. After regaining possession, I discovered extensive drywall damage from holes punched through multiple rooms, broken windows, missing interior doors, damaged lighting, missing blinds, debris left in the garage, and serious landscaping neglect. I was also later informed that police had been called to the property during the tenancy, yet none of this was disclosed to me. The home was returned in a condition that required immediate and costly repairs just to make it habitable again. In addition, contractors arranged through the management company were unresponsive and completed at least one major repair incorrectly, requiring city involvement to resolve. A property manager's role is to protect the owner's asset through proper inspections, reporting, and oversight. That did not happen here. Based on my experience, I would caution other property owners to ask very specific questions about inspection practices, communication, and contractor accountability before entrusting their home to this company. read more

Horrible Experience! Our home was for sale and purchasers hired 2 River Group which is basically a home improvement/mold remediation company to do a mold evaluation. When their sales person showed up it became quickly obvious that he was there to sell a job regardless of any evidence of mold or not. After his visit he happily provided a nearly $5,000 estimate to the purchasers for remediation and other non-related work without doing any testing, sampling, swabbing, etc. Nor was there any mention in his report of whether mold existed or not. In my opinion this was nothing more than an effort to create work for themselves. Knowing this, I brought in Randy from MMRG Mold Remediation in Ocean Township who confirmed that mold did not exist and that no remediation work was needed. Randy was a true professional with real knowledge and was able to put out the potential fire that 2 River Group unnecessarily created. read more

PLEASE READ BEFORE MAKING THE MISTAKE I DID: LEGAL ACTION PENDING AGAINST 2 RIVER GROUP Attached - photos taken of my home AFTER hiring 2 River Group to fix leak, as well as gaps in siding that were missed upon evaluation of leak, allowing for continued water damage to occur I hired 2 Rivers Group to address and repair a rook leak in the spring of 2022. My home currently leaks more than prior to hiring this fraudulent sham of an operation. Erin, the project scheduler, will assist until she loses interest. At that time, she will not return phone calls or emails. Scott, the owner (As I understand it), will offer false reassurances of the group's interest in completing the job. Once he loses interest, he will no longer return calls or messages. Do not pay this company in advance. Once the job is thought to be complete, you will be ghosted, as I have, leaving me no other than to make every effort to ensure that no other hardworking homeowner succumbs the indifference of 2 River Group. The contract describes a 2 year guarantee. This is not true. 2 River will not stand behind this clause, necessitating a lawsuit. The 2 Rivers Group's failure to provide completion of a project will now cost me much more than anticipated, due to an inability to identify leaks. The blithe and disinterested dismissal of my requests to move forward with a resolution have now resulted in extensive destruction of the interior of my home. As a result, we are now four months beyond the supposed completion of the job, and the leak is worse than ever. We are more than 3 months since I made the company aware of the failure. The details of my communications and hope that 2 River would complete the job. Briefly recapping the events of the last 6 months 6/9/22 - Final Payment made for supposed completion of work to include Fiberglass Decking and Roofing Surfaces for interior leak. 6/27/22- Homeowner makes 2 Rivers aware that the leak repair did not work, showing video of pooling water in plastic covering in bathroom. Homeowner does not hear a response for 3 days. After hearing back, evaluation with a leak test is planned. 7/21/22- Leak test performed revealing several other sites of leak including suspected leaks at fencing and among flashing between siding. 7/26/22 - Discussion completed with Scott Beattie, who ensures that we will not be "left hanging" and that work will be coordinated by 2 Rivers Group. Last call made to Erin on 8/8/22 @ 11:48 AM EST- No return call is ever received. Emails sent 7/22, 8/5, and 9/6. No reply received any email. Text messages are sent to Erin on 8/5 and 8/8. No reply to either message. Homeowner gives up on contact with Erin. After rainstorm results in destruction in October, homeowner makes Erin aware, and finally receives a reply. Last call made to Scott on 8/24/22 @ 10:20 AM EST- No return call is ever received. Text messages sent to Scott on 9/6/22 pleading for a reply, who confirms that Garden State roofing will be going out with 2 Rivers construction manager. Site visit completed on 9/9/22. Neither construction manager, Scott, Erin, Garden State roofing, or anyone else from 2 Rivers attempts to make any contact with the homeowner to discuss invoice, damage, or plan. Text message sent to Scott on Wednesday September 28 asking for update. No reply. Text message sent to Scott on Friday September 30 asking for update. Again, no reply. Homeowner calls family to help with leak that now involves multiple rooms, hallway, and will require daily evaluation to prevent additional destruction. Pans placed, towels placed. read more

I was considering them for work but did a background check before allowing them into my home because the "project manager" they sent seemed distracted and a little strange. Good thing I did because 2 River Group does not seem to care about their employees history. Wouldn't let them anywhere near your home or family. For a mold issue, Colin Burns came to my house and said I need a dehumidifier system in the basement and the whole house needs to be wiped down for $7,400. Good thing I did not listen to him. For another opinion, I had Randy from MMRG look at the house. He said there is absolutely no mold problem. He said I do not even need a dehumidifier and that my basement is a 10 as in 10 being the highest rating! read more
