Go with Ali at 1st National, 404-784-1407 and save yourself all of the time and energy I put in to choose my roofing company, and you don't have to bother reading this long review! My home had Atlas Chalet, a defective and discontinued shingle, so I had A LOT of roofing companies ringing my bell. Out of a dozen, I entertained about four companies. I decided to go with Ali Habib, 1st National, because his expertise stood out to me - answered every question and refuted info from other companies. The point is: If you're getting a good product, it needs to be installed correctly, but these are humans doing the installing, so the final decision point is service. 1st National is a well-managed business, and owner Adam is building a company for the long-play. I did exactly as Ali instructed me every step of the way, and everything went exactly as Ali said it would, including getting my insurer, Travelers, to pay for an entire new roof, upgraded materials, and interior paint - all under one deductible. The roof was completed and cleaned up in one day. There was a huge wind/rain/hail storm that very night, so I got immediate proof of no leaks! 1st National's quality guy, Jackson, inspected twice - once during install and again after completion, double-checking clean up - that's first class. Ali was onsite several times as well. BIG NOTE!!! ---- Proof that it matters who you go with: My neighbor, same insurer, same Atlas roof, was only approved for patching. I would like to say I never had to deal with roof repairs much less a replacement . I had several other roofing company's knock on my door .They heard who my Insurance company was and ran. Said they couldn't help me. But Shawn came along and what a great person ,person he is . Talked to me like family .Told me what had to be done to get this roof replaced . Shawn sat with me and showed me everything that had to be done. Never once was I pressured into using their company. He was even able to give a projected price for the roof . He even came by and sat with me when the insurance adjuster was here. Everything Shawn said was needed was the same as the adjuster. I liked knowing he new what he was talking about. Shawn said the roof would take 1 day and that's what happened. The roof was in bad shape . Rot half shingles gone .Plus it wasn't up to code . Now I have a perfect roof . Love how it looks. And love the new color. Shawn and Nelson was here during the whole time. The crew also was great. Other than the banging on the roof I never new they was there.And the clean up was better than they first arrived . If you have a home, you have a roof, and if you need ANYTHING for that roof you use 1st National! Sam Dennis was excellent! He made the whole process go so well because he was involved from the beginning to the very end. Never felt pressured into anything and explained everything without missing a beat! Sam is very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We were always worried it would be such a task to have the roof replaced, but his crew were on site early morning and were careful to use extra covers over our animal's homes and little pond. They listened to our concerns and truly cared that we were satisfied with everything. He even came by the next day for nearly two hours to ensure we had gotten every piece of debris, nail, etc found before letting the kids back into the yard. I'm really glad we chose them over other companies that only sent letters or left something stuck to our mailbox. Last week we had a snow storm here and had major leaks in multiple rooms. I called 1st National and was told I only had a 1 year warranty but that they would send someone out to check the problem. No one has called me since so I requested an inspection from a handy man I knew. He informed me that the ridge was cut to wide for a ridge vent and they used 3 tab shingles which were too small for the ridge vents. Turns out they even closed their Raleigh office! I'm beyond pissed. I have major leaks in a roof that was put on less than a year and a half ago. How a company can do business like this baffles me! Someone needs to call me and rectify this situation. I have a new baby and the last thing I need is a leaky roof! read more

I found out about 1st National Roofing from a neighbor of mine when they had a small leak in one of their bathrooms. 1st National came out and found that the problem was not actually with the roof but in fact the gutters being full of leaves. I found this encouraging to know that they will give you a diagnosis even when not related to the roof. I recently noticed my gutters were full of leaves and called to discuss a solution. I had filed an initial claim last year and it was denied by my insurance company. Then I met Mike and Justin and they handled all the details.of my claim and it was now approved. They installation crew had 16 people and were able to finish the entire job in one day, coming back the next morning for final cleanup. Justin was on site throughout the installation and Adam, the owner even came by.
