Love this park went there today to check it out. Probably going to move there. Patrick the Park…read moremanager is really professional. Seems like a really good guy. The park is clean. Has coin laundry facilities, has shower facilities. It seems like all the lots have a little nice patch of grass. I would imagine maybe would sprinklers because the grass looks so good. It is a 55 and older, which makes it pretty quiet during the day. I can't wait to move in and meet everybody it's in a nice part of old town Tustin. There's lots of trees. The cool thing is you can stay here forever if you like it month-to-month pretty much move out when you want. Space rent., does not include electricity or cable, but does include water, trash, sewer, you are in the heart of Orange County. You're not at the beach, but you're close. You're kind of centrally located around the 55 freeway, the 5 and the 405 is really close. The 22 is relatively close too and the 91. Can't wait to move in. I'm looking forward to it.

Good things: We thought the bathrooms and showers were very clean. The food at Moes was good as were the drinks. The store was well-stocked with toys, food, and clothing. The pool and jacuzzi were great, and the kids loved them. Kids' activities and games were plentiful, and they also enjoyed the playground. Staff was helpful in the office. Security was present and doing lots of rounds the first two nights (did not see them the busy Friday night). The camp was VERY, impressively, quiet at night. Middling things (mind you, the campground is not in control of these!): the sand is not soft sand like at the coastal beaches. Kids will probably need shoes for the shells and rocks, and it's packed super hard. The campground is under the flight path of John Wayne airport, so expect to know when it's 7 am each day since that's when the planes begin roaring overhead. Not-so-great things: the sites are super close together. Yes, you will be packed in like sardines, especially in the "standard" back row sites, which were completely filled when we visited. It is hard to back in when trucks are parked along the road, in front of the tiny sites- there is VERY little room for error. The sites are ALL DIRT, which I did not think would be so bad until I lived it. (Never again, unless I buy some turf at some point.) When campers dump their waste, expect to get some whiffs. (Many reviews note something about the angle of the dump/hose- we don't have a bathroom in our trailer so I can't attest to that issue.) Finally, the single biggest deal breaker for us was the allowed use of wood burning fire pits at sites. Since everyone is crammed in there, people burning wood on Friday night resulted in the paths and trailers and even the bathrooms being filled with smoke. They should only allow gas burning fire pits! So yeah- if we return it will only ever be mid week and preferably in the off-season.

The employee appeared completely untrained, offered no helpful information, and acted inconvenienced by a basic customer inquiry. Customer service and professionalism matter, especially during busy holiday weekends when visitors are looking for guidance and support. I hope management takes customer experience more seriously moving forward and provides better staff training.

There is free Wi-Fi; however, streaming might have issues when the park is full. Free laundry room! Well kept and modern located with the park restrooms. Our Verizon wireless router seems to have issues between 6 and 8 PM but works fairly good otherwise. Great T-Mobile 5G coverage! There's a small NEX within walking distance. No Restaurant on base however they do offer lunch at the gym/sailor Center during the work week. The gym is a very short walk from the park and is open 24/7! They offer a variety of fitness programs if you would like to participate. Very modern facility and equipment! There are several wonderful restaurants in the area! There's even a great little dive bar called Dave's Other Place where many Sailors stop on their way to Main Street when in port.

Well to start off we checked in at 11pm! We got stuck in…read moretraffic then got a flat tire. Our 3.5 hour drive turned into a 6.5 hour drive! They were kind enough to check on us when we weren't there at almost 7:30. I explained the situation and they were understanding. I called later to give the night attendant our ETA, she was waiting by at the entrance for us when we pulled in! She showed us to our site and was very descriptive of what we needed to do. She was confident in her trailer parking abilities too, she was willing to give us directions as far as we needed. Though my husband didn't as he drives a trailer all day every day. She said just take care of everything in the morning, made sure we were good and left is to finish setting up. The next morning was quiet and slow paced as we got moving and started making breakfast. We finally made it to the office and the lady there was kind,quick and informative! We went to the pool and hung out for a few then played some mini golf l. They have all kinds of items to change the game up each round/hole. My kids enjoyed getting to use their imagination. The bathrooms are very clean as well as everything else. The maintainer person even went two spots away from us with intent to use the blower, saw us and said he didn't want to stir things up for us. Later that night we were riding scooters and the maintenance man told my daughter "let's race"! She enjoyed that. The hardest part is probably having a 1 year old who just wants to be free but turns black every time he touches the pavement and 85 degrees with 87% humidity The location is great as well! Angels stadium, Disney and so many other things. If I had to choose somewhere to stay close by and save money by using the trailer, this is where I'd stay! You don't even realize you are in the middle of a very busy city! This park is family friendly and slow paced. The amount of cars moving around was so little I let the kids ride around without me. Well done Orangeland! Oh! I forgot to add! They seem to strive to be disability friendly! Now I'm not disabled and don't know everything required but they have ramps in all the public places making it easier to get places. They do not have a pool chair.

So in my defense, we are fully contained and have a full kitchen, flushing toilet and all our own tanks so no problem right. Nope, apparently campers are Ghetto. And they turned us away. Mind you we have no pop ups, and we are brand new. This is ridiculous. They did refund our money but that was not much of a consolation prize when we had to scramble to find a place to go. So we ended up at Bolsa Chica SB for one night thankfully. And landed in San Juan Capistrano for the next 4 days. It is just stressful to plan as it is happening in real time. Maneuvering the government websites looking for open places. Don't waste your time with these fancy people because they are obviously full of themselves with their parking lot RV park next to the stacks in Huntington . I personally believe Karen could have a better approach by not having a Nasty ATTITUDE at bringing up check out time to customers that being in revenue to city of HB. We're not children and we do understand rules and guideline. I've been called on a paid reservation- with people over staying and causing us to have a later check in. We don't make a big deal about it. We understand. Mind you park has several vacancy opening, Karen called me back to ask me if I wanted to re- book with her. I believe this is also not part of HB guidelines to book with a personal of HB. ( from what I was told in past )

You can walk along the beach or cross the street for some food and cocktails, and there are public bathrooms available. However, I was extremely disappointed by the inconsistency regarding their pet policy. Before booking, I reviewed the campground rules online and understood that pit bulls were not allowed on the property. Because of this policy, I made the difficult and expensive decision to board my own dog elsewhere during our stay. To my surprise, throughout the weekend I saw multiple pit bulls openly walking around the campground. I brought my concerns to the front desk, and the only explanation given was that some guests do not disclose that they have pets and simply arrive with them, which is not an acceptable excuse. While the staff apologized, nothing changed, and the dogs remained on the property throughout our stay. My frustration is not necessarily about the dogs themselves, as I am also a pit bull owner and lover, but about the lack of enforcement and consistency of the stated rules. If the policy is not actually enforced, guests should not be expected to spend additional money boarding their pets based on the information provided online. Unfortunately, because of this experience, we will most likely not be returning for future RV camping trips.
