It's a wildlife refuge! Heron, osprey, owls, hummingbirds and geese everywhere!

#1 if you don't have a military ID you will not be able to access this amazing place. Having said that, if you're lucky enough to have access, I suggest you reserve immediately. Everyone in the office is Uber professional, helpful and knowledgeable. Andrew runs a very tight ship; this guy needs a raise! He know how to make people want to come back again and again, which we do every time we're in the area! The Camp Hosts are always available and quick to help out. The entire maintenance crew are all just so nice (although Michael is a total stand out!) There's an NEX within sight, a great rec center, an MWR travel office, the beach is only 5 minutes that way and FReE laundry with WiFi and cable tv. Stats that matter to an RVer: 30 & 50 amp Pull throughs available Full hook-ups Huge coin operated washing bay and vacuums Gorgeous wildlife Primo location Ice and vending machines Playground Full shower facilities Dog friendly w/poop bag dispensers After hours hosts Walking/running paths The rules matter though big time. They're serious about 5 mph and NO more than two washers/dryers at a time. Trust me, it's gotten ugly. We've RVed the country, SeaBreeze is one of my all time favorites! I can't wait to return in next year! Safe travels to all!

The park is easy to get to. you just take the exit, turn right, and there's a parking lot right there. The parking costs $8, but be warned! there's no cash accepted. Make sure to have a credit or debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay ready, because the line was pretty slow when I went, and it took almost 10 minutes just to get into the park. Once inside, I was impressed by how beautiful the park was! April was a fantastic time to visit. The grass was lush and green, and the whole atmosphere was really relaxing. I'm not sure if it stays this way year-round, but in April, it was really pristine. I loved how there are special areas for parties. you can reserve them online and they also have spots for grilling and even pitching your own tent. However, I was a bit disappointed with the bathroom situation. For $8 parking, the restrooms were really dirty. I also noticed a few homeless individuals wandering around, and one person was using the restroom for a very long time, which made it even more unpleasant. The city or management really needs to step up if you're charging for parking, you need to ensure better services, like cleaner restrooms or even some water fountains. On the bright side, the kids' playground was really nice, and the park overall felt clean, especially along the trails. I loved that you can bring a bike or rent one, and the trail was perfect for a relaxing ride. So, big shoutout to the staff and management for keeping the park clean overall, but please, if you're charging for parking, improve the bathroom facilities. I'd definitely come back for the scenery, but I hope the logistics get better!

We came by after the rain which unfortunately meant most of the trails were closed and there was some flooding in the roads, but enjoyed ourselves nonetheless. They have bike rentals with surries and deuce coupes which we ended up taking out for an hour ($29 an hour is a little steep, but we just couldn't resist taking our pup out for a ride!) Great place to walk dogs (though unfortunately the dog park was also closed...check their website for updates before coming). He really enjoyed all the squirrels and birds around the lake, though there are a ton of goose droppings to dodge while you walk. Looking forward to coming back when everything is open again. $8 per car is a little pricey, but it really is a great park worth a visit!

The water is very calm, it's clean, and my kids love that there is a playground. There was a vendor walking around to sell floaties and we ended up getting a raft and the sticks for the raft for our kids. We did try to negotiate on the price but were only able to save a few bucks. I saw lifeguards walking back and forth often and it definitely made me feel safer to have the kids there. If you have young kids, I definitely say this is a great little beach to take your kiddos. Plenty of trash cans around and my kids gotta play with other kids. They didn't have to run super far with their bucket of water to make a sandcastle. Needless to say, we really liked this beach and definitely plan to come back. 2 thumbs up from this mom. Tips: *Parking lot available but you have to pay. *Free street parking. *Restroom available. *Lifeguard on site. * Vendors are always walking around (food, floaties). *There is a little playground with swings.

The Nature Centre comprises of 105 acres in the East Regional portion, and has 2 miles of dirt trails and 1/4 mile paved trail with an indoor visitor center (located on an island near the entrance). My wife, her mom, and I visited on a beautiful Thursday afternoon and we really enjoyed it. The land prior to 1964 was used as flat farmland. In the late 60's, major excavation was done, creating two small ponds connected by a stream, all fed by a groundwater well. It now is the home to varied wildlife, with the most visible being turtles. They love to sun themselves on wooden floating platforms, and the water is clear enough to see them swimming underwater near the walking path bridges. There are three walking trails: 1. quarter mile paved loop, good for strollers 2. 1 mile dirt loop 3. a longer 2 mile loop, sharing some parts of the previous. Everything is well maintained. Three things I appreciated: not too many ducks and geese around, thus no visible droppings along the path; plenty of varied bench seating to rest or observe during the walk; lack of biting insects. The center is open 6 days a week (closed on Mondays). Admission to the center is free, but parking is $6 - $8 per vehicle, payable at entry (credit cards only, no cash accepted). One can buy an annual parking pass (good at both El Dorado East and West parking areas). To incentivize myself to come here more often, decided to buy one for $43 (senior discount), minus the $7 already paid for the one time fee.

Ok, so I have so much to share I don't know where to even begin! I had heard about Happy Hour Fit…read moreClub a long time before I joined because I was a gym girl, and I was a little intimidated to walk into a group of girls that seem to have an amazing dynamic. My husband played ultimate frisbee every Saturday with this group along with many of their husbands for about a year before I joined. He would often mention to me to try HHFC out. Eventually after about a year of him suggesting along with some of the girls I worked with also mentioning it, I finally gave it a try! I can't express enough how much it has CHANGED my life! At the time I joined, I was living in Lakewood, had 2 kids at Hopkinson, 1 at Rossmoor Children center and just opened my salon in Los Alamitos. Adding one more thing to my back and forth-ness too and from Lakewood was not something I was looking to do. At my very first class, I couldn't believe how welcoming EVERY girl was! Kerrie the owner, went above and beyond to acknowledge me. It made me push myself to do the best I could, knowing that she watches each one of us! It's funny because during workout, I was amazed that the fun games we played at this bootcamp actually were extremely effective! I was sore for days after(in a good way)! Kerrie is such a positive inspiring person who has so much compassion! She makes each person special! The one thing I love about this groups is the diversity! We have women of all ages! Kerrie is so good at reminding each of us to listen to our body. Everything she has us do can be modified so, really ANY person can join! There's no excuse when joining this because each person would be able to do what their body allows them to do! About 2 years ago, I made a commitment to myself that I wanted to make a life change. My life was so busy I needed to give myself one thing that will give me a moment to center myself and my life! HHFC was the answer to my prayers! I joined 2 days a week and played frisbee on the weekends along with my husband and HHFC crew. I have since moved into the neighborhood and have built such strong relationships with my HHFC girls! My workouts give my life center! It gives me energy and positivity to feed my crazy days! Even days I don't feel like going, I know my girls are expecting me to be there so I get myself to go! Not only Kerrie, but my fit club gals make me push harder! Now for the HAPPY HOUR part! Not only is this BEST bootcamp in town, but Kerrie makes sure there is always fun involved! She organizes girls night out evenings, and fun HHFC mini retreats. Each year is a different location. One year they did Catalina, last year was Lake Arrowhead, this year is Palm Springs! This goes hand in hand with all the friendships we have built! Our children have also gained friendships as she has also organized family bbqs! And again at each event, there is always a game or two! I apologize for the super long review, but I could write a book on how much HHFC has enhanced my life! If you are looking to try something new, or are feeling like you want to try working out, I highly recommend giving this a try! You won't be disappointed! This is not just a workout, it's a life enhancer!!!
