We spent 3 nights here in August of 2026 and were delighted that we did. It's an oasis in downtown Oceanside. The staff are delightful, the resort is very will organized and well maintained. There's a locked gate to enter a very short path to Buccaneer Beach. Spaces are concrete paved and the utilities are perfectly positioned. My only comment would be that there's not much room between spaces so it's tight, but still very maneuverable. Keep in mind, this is prime real estate close to the beach, so it's expected that they need to make the best use of their acreage. Paradise is a very neat place to get away.

Yes, there are airplanes flying overhead every few minutes, but it's so cool to watch, and the sound didn't bother us at all. Yes, they change the bathroom and entrance codes every week, but that helps keep the property secure. Yes, it gets crowded on the weekends, and people play music, but that was one of my favorite parts! We didn't even play our own music; we just enjoyed vibing to everyone else's. Everyone turned their music down by 10 p.m., and the whole place was full of families having a beautiful time. I absolutely loved the atmosphere. We stayed the maximum amount of time allowed (21 days), and I really wish we could have stayed longer! The staff was amazing. John, the security guard, was awesome and such a kind person who greeted us every evening. Omar at the front desk was also incredibly kind and helpful. I wish I had gotten everyone's names because every single person we interacted with was wonderful. All the ladies at the front desk were so helpful whenever we had questions. And to all the people complaining in reviews about having to park or drive in a certain direction, shame on them. Those rules are there for a reason, and they're not worth making a negative review over. The one unfortunate thing that happened during our stay was that a Class A RV tried to pull into a spot meant to be backed into and hit the front of our parked car. The damage was pretty bad, even though the driver initially told the front desk it was "just a scratch." Once the staff saw our car, they were quick to sympathize. We also had no issues getting a tow truck through security or having a rental car driver come pick us up. Everything went smoothly on that end. As for the bathrooms, I expected them to be horrible based on some of the reviews, but they were just fine! It's a beach environment, and things are going to get sandy. That's to be expected. The bathrooms were kept clean, and I have no complaints. I truly loved this place. The ambiance, the staff, the families, the music, the overall vibes...everything! We made wonderful memories here, and I'm so sad we couldn't stay longer. Don't let the negative reviews scare you away. We had an amazing experience, and we would absolutely come back!

We were so hesitant! This was our first time beach camping in our trailer since we bought it, and I…read morewas worried my boyfriend wouldn't love all the inevitable sand. However, we were way too busy have the time of our lives to worry about a little sand in the RV! It was admittedly a tight squeeze getting backed in to a space, and we had to ask the neighbor to temporarily move their truck to make a little room, but it went very well after that. We had a spot on the beach side and we were able to put our canopy and chairs up behind it, on the sand! What a cool little benefit we had no idea about prior to getting there! The campground check in is easy, they give an entry code for the restrooms as well as the gate, along with the camp rules and a map. Once we got set up, we walked right out to the beach behind our camper and we watched the sunset! What a treat! There were plenty of people in camp, and everyone was friendly (no rowdies here) and were enjoying their campfires and family time. We noticed plenty of LA County beach patrol even after dark, and most everyone abided by the 10 p.m. curfew/fires out rule on the beach. The planes overhead were not an annoyance for the most part, except the one or two we'd hear as we were falling asleep. Other than that, I became a little bit obsessed as we saw some BIG planes taking off throughout the day! It was really a fun little bonus, especially if you enjoy that kind of thing. Dumpsters were full when we arrived, but they empty the them daily. Restrooms were clean, and the walking trail is very busy throughout the day with walkers, bikers, runners, etc. And there is even a small self-rent station nearby on the path where you can rent bikes for the day. Further north, about a half-mile walk, is the little beach store. They sell literally everything, firewood, bathing suits, flip-flops, hats, snacks, ice, water pressure regulators, and even RV TP! You can rent chairs, canopies, towels, ice chests, and more there, too, either by the day or by the hour. Pricing is a bit high...but they know about supply & demand! ;) We enjoyed our time so much! We'll be back, and hopefully very soon to make more memories!

MUST INCLUDE RUNNING WATER, INTERNAL FLUSHABLE TOILET WITH BLACK WATER HOLDING TANK. CASSETTE TOILETS ARE NOT ALLOWED." So in my defense, we are fully contained and have a full kitchen, flushing toilet and all our own tanks so no problem right. Nope, apparently campers are Ghetto. And they turned us away. Mind you we have no pop ups, and we are brand new. This is ridiculous. They did refund our money but that was not much of a consolation prize when we had to scramble to find a place to go. So we ended up at Bolsa Chica SB for one night thankfully. And landed in San Juan Capistrano for the next 4 days. It is just stressful to plan as it is happening in real time. Maneuvering the government websites looking for open places. Don't waste your time with these fancy people because they are obviously full of themselves with their parking lot RV park next to the stacks in Huntington . From the moment we arrived, the staff made it feel special. They had left a little birthday gift for our daughter in the trailer, which was such a thoughtful and unexpected touch. Princess Fiona was adorable and the perfect size for our family of four. We spent hours riding bikes around the property, swinging on the swings, and just enjoying being there. The location is fantastic and incredibly walkable. We walked to dinner and came back to complimentary s'mores, apple cider, and hot cocoa waiting for guests. In the morning, there was great coffee and delicious fresh-squeezed orange juice. It's all those little touches that make this place feel so much more special than a typical hotel stay. We originally booked one night and loved it so much that we decided to stay another night! The staff couldn't have been friendlier, the kids had a blast, and the whole experience just felt easy and fun. We're already talking about coming back -- although next time we might leave the kids at home because this would also be such a fun, romantic little weekend getaway for two.

Even better, they give you complimentary s'more kits with all the fixings. They have BBQs for grilling. They give you cookies and yogurt in the morning. They even give you oranges so you can squeeze your own orange juice. I don't drink orange juice normally but the juice here was outstanding. They have books and games available for borrowing. They have hammocks and swings and picnic tables. They have bikes for free rental. They have freshly-baked cookies that are delicious. There is apple cider and hot chocolate. There are a lot of amenities here which you simply will not find at most hotels. The train runs right by here and it's loud and shocking at first but it doesn't come by that often and you get used to it. Inside the trailer, aside from the train, the grounds are extremely quiet. This is a fun place and something different. The location is great and you get a lot of value for your money.

The washer/dryers are convenient and inexpensive (compared to every other laundromat I've used). The airport is behind the RV park and I was staying in the back row. Some days the airport was busier than others but it was never so noisy that it was distracting. There are a few great restaurants walking distance from the park. The park is very conveniently located to a lot of things and very easy interstate access. I have been away from Hollywood RV park for about a month now and I actually miss living there, but driving on the 405 every day for work became too much. If you are looking for a home to park your RV...Hollywood RV park is the place to go!
