People smoking cigars and cigarettes We will be coming back and staying again the pros totally out way any cons. You should give it a try if you are coming to Oceanside

Shops, restaurants, beaches and yes Lego Land. We were in town for 5 days and set up our RV here. The staff was friendly as well as alot of the guests. Here's where this location fell short. 1. It smelled like a Greatfull Dead concert 24 / 7 from all the 60's generation pot smokers and 2. Alot of the parents were too busy drinking instead of watching their kids and keeping them from running into people at night on their bikes and did I also mention mom's taking their son's into the women's restroom who are clearly old enough to use the men's restroom on their own? It was just weird and super uncomfortable. But this rv park is centrally located to everything and within walking distance to everything. We didn't find the train to be a problem and I loved the fact that they have security since the homeless population around the outside of the park usually shows up during the day and at night. The restrooms and showers are clean and the staff is fantastic about returning calls. They do allow fur babies as long as they behave themselves but check for breed restrictions. I highly recommend making reservations way in advance.

Sheeeeeesh! So many negative reviews I had to come break it up with our groups positive experience…read more We camped here the last weekend of July for the Warped Tour music festival down the street. This was our first time camping in a park like this, we've only done some dry camping in the desert prior. I didn't know what to expect but was incredibly happy with everything. Booking online was easy peasy. Checking in was just as easy. Checkout was even easier as we didn't have to do anything besides pack up and go. Now our stay, we were a little worried on the size of the site as we had friends joining us with a second vehicle. Upon arrival we were ecstatic to see that our trailer, tow vehicle, and friends car all fit into our space and still gave us plenty of room to hangout. They had amenities like a bathroom/shower/pool, little market etc. We didn't have time for a dip in the pool but it looked well kept and nice. Our friends used the bathrooms and said they were standard campground showers. I didn't feel they were super necessary as the site has full hookups so I took a nice hot shower in our travel trailer. But hey, they're there if you need! The WiFi wasn't great, but it worked okay. If having high speed internet is important to you when traveling, get a hot spot on your phone or one of those spaceX satellite things. Anyway, we had a great experience, no issues at all. We already booked a site for next year as did a few of our friends!

Here, you will stay in a trailer (possibly an Airstream or something like an Airstream) and you are probably a 10 minute walk to the beach. Beat that. If you have ever stayed in a trailer, you know it's tight quarters. But you get your own kitchen and bathroom and it's a heckuva lot more fun than a bland, stale hotel room. The site has firepits. Even better, they give you complimentary s'more kits with all the fixings. They have BBQs for grilling. They give you cookies and yogurt in the morning. They even give you oranges so you can squeeze your own orange juice. I don't drink orange juice normally but the juice here was outstanding. They have books and games available for borrowing. They have hammocks and swings and picnic tables. They have bikes for free rental. They have freshly-baked cookies that are delicious. There is apple cider and hot chocolate. There are a lot of amenities here which you simply will not find at most hotels. The train runs right by here and it's loud and shocking at first but it doesn't come by that often and you get used to it. Inside the trailer, aside from the train, the grounds are extremely quiet. This is a fun place and something different. The location is great and you get a lot of value for your money.

I really don't want to rave about this place too much because I don't want it to become a place…read morewhere we can never get a reservation lol! But I have TBH, the owner is the nicest guy! Our family was planning a weekend visit to Universal Studios, we have dogs that we don't kennel nor do we stay in hotels with them, so we found this park convenient to park our trailer, stay a night and keep our dogs in the AC for the day while we enjoyed the day. It is nice and clean and has full hook ups. There is no pool or anything recreational like that, though I do believe there is a game room and gym. Like I said we weren't there for that so I didn't check them out to even tell you what was in them or how they are. The restrooms were clean and have showers, we use the restroom and shower in our rig but did have to use the park restrooms a couple of times. It is a clean and quiet place where a lot of people are long term or residential guests. Please, if you are looking for a place to "rage", do not come here, it is not the place.

I honestly can't say enough about how AMAZING this RV park is! We needed to be in Los Angeles on an…read moreongoing weekly basis and decided staying in our RV would be a much more cost effective option than finding a shared apartment or booking an Airbnb every week. BEST choice EVER once we found Hollywood RV Park! From the moment we pulled into the RV park, I could feel how different and special this place was. We were met by the owner, Steve, who is a Hollywood icon (and has the most amazing stories and personality!), who instantly took over to get our camper parked for us. Their complimentary valet service is second to none. Honestly, for US, it was such a welcome relief after braving the LA freeways. Steve has a great little towing tractor that hooks right up to the camper and off it goes to your site, safely and securely. It's a perfect situation. Steve knows every inch of his RV park (having built so much of it himself over the past decades), and he knows best how to easily slide your rig into the generous sites without you having to navigate it yourself. Steve has a never ending smile and welcomes you like you're family or a long lost friend that's come home again. Such a wonderful reception after a long drive. Then let's talk about the RV park itself. It couldn't be more conveniently located. Easy off the 405 and since it's on Balboa, you are on the perfect route for sneaking around the 405 traffic and over the hill on busy traffic times. Everything you need is within a few minutes drive and there's even a grocery store across the street if you want to walk to it. But the park itself is where the magic truly happens. It's a Shangri-la, to be honest. Every street named after a famous Hollywood street (or area) and decorated to make you feel like you've arrived at the Disneyworld of RV parks, with gorgeous artwork and sculptures and Hollywood props tastefully arranged throughout the park. There's a lot of wonderful trees and greenery, so it almost feels like you're outside of the L.A. when you're in the park. We loved nothing more than walking around the park and seeing all of the decor and the wonderful site amenities that long term residents have put on their sites. Speaking of, the personality of the community at the RV park is incredibly friendly and welcoming. People smile at you and welcome you. It almost has an old fashioned feel to it where people greet each other as they pass with smiles and nods, or little conversations if you're so inclined. And yet, you also maintain as much privacy as you want. We've stayed there now every week (for a few days a week) for the past several months and I love that we were able to maintain our privacy but also felt like a welcomed part of the community. It's a very nice balance. The hookups are very easy and well designed. For us, we chose to store our camper right at the park, and Steve arranged it all for us to make life very easy. We drive in on Tuesdays and there our camper is on the spot Steve assigned us for the week, and then later in the week, we close the camper up, unhook, etc. and lock it up and leave it and Steve handles it from there. It couldn't be easier. I also think the pricing is VERY fair. When we compared doing Airbnb's long term or even renting a room in someone's apartment, there was no chance we could come close to beating what it costs to keep our camper at Hollywood RV Park and camping there a few nights a week. I honestly can't say enough about it. This is a very special place, run by a staff of incredible people. And Steve is a true gem. A legend in his own time. I feel lucky to have found it.

I initially stay at a horrible and cracked out RV park that will remain nameless. After a couple day I had to get out. One of my co-workers suggested this place and let me tell you, it was a God send. Doris caters to the traveling working class people, she doesn't put up with parties drugs or bullshit. She wants her residents to be quiet and respectful of others. What more can you ask?! I would not recommend this place as a vacation destination but would recommend it for longer term stays. Also the monthly cost is very very affordable.

You will not find another park as good as this one in the area. From the start, Doris treated us really well. Left a great first impression of the park. Maintenance man helped me back our trailer as the park is a bit tight. Rose, was very forthcoming and went out of her way to make sure we got every dime owed to us after we left. It was a detail that got lost in the mix on my part, and because of her we got that pro rated rent back. Shes as honest as they get. Would definitely stay again, and recommend this place to anyone in my position.
