I read about The Holiday's on Trip Advisr and was pleased to find mid-week openings the next week. I paid for one night in advance, but after the fun my granddaughter had that first day, I paid for another night and am glad to have done so. The turquoise and white trailer, "The Drifter" is adorable, as are all four units. Andy, the owner/ manager is friendly, easy to reach by phone, and stops by each day to provide for the needs of his current renters, and to prep for the next to arrive. With an included fridge, freezer, 3 burner stove, plates, cups, mugs, utensils, bbq utensils, sink with running water, heat, ample sleeping for 4, bath towels, beach towels, USB ports, board games, cards, and a bluetooth sound system, the trailer offers plenty of convenience for its diminuative size. For a small extra charge a generator provides AC, microwave and electricity. Each trailer gas picnic table, charcoal bbq, and a firepit... though we joined other campers at the communal firepit and enjoyed making new friends. The Holiday's Community has a shared storage shed filled with complimentary games (Jenga, Cornhole, Horseshoes, oversized Checkers, Bocce Ball, etc.) beach supplies (umbrellas, boogie boards, noodles). The beach is gorgeous... there are two paths to access the beach, one is quite steep and the hike back up is tough. The other path nearest to the Visitor Center is less steep. All in all, big props to The Holiday's! I will definitely be returning.

There is free Wi-Fi; however, streaming might have issues when the park is full. Free laundry room! Well kept and modern located with the park restrooms. Our Verizon wireless router seems to have issues between 6 and 8 PM but works fairly good otherwise. Great T-Mobile 5G coverage! There's a small NEX within walking distance. No Restaurant on base however they do offer lunch at the gym/sailor Center during the work week. The gym is a very short walk from the park and is open 24/7! They offer a variety of fitness programs if you would like to participate. Very modern facility and equipment! There are several wonderful restaurants in the area! There's even a great little dive bar called Dave's Other Place where many Sailors stop on their way to Main Street when in port.

Love this park went there today to check it out. Probably going to move there. Patrick the Park…read moremanager is really professional. Seems like a really good guy. The park is clean. Has coin laundry facilities, has shower facilities. It seems like all the lots have a little nice patch of grass. I would imagine maybe would sprinklers because the grass looks so good. It is a 55 and older, which makes it pretty quiet during the day. I can't wait to move in and meet everybody it's in a nice part of old town Tustin. There's lots of trees. The cool thing is you can stay here forever if you like it month-to-month pretty much move out when you want. Space rent., does not include electricity or cable, but does include water, trash, sewer, you are in the heart of Orange County. You're not at the beach, but you're close. You're kind of centrally located around the 55 freeway, the 5 and the 405 is really close. The 22 is relatively close too and the 91. Can't wait to move in. I'm looking forward to it.

Just came back from El Potrero for our Girl Scout camporee. Ugh…read more LOCATION: Far, far away! This is private property and heavily guarded/monitored for the safety of the campers (duh). The camp is located waaaaaay off the beaten path, down a private treacherous dirt road. Once you're there - it's gorgeous! Oak trees shade the camp site and provide excellent canopy coverage. There is plenty of space to spread out and pinic tables and antique dutch ovens at each camp site. Bathrooms are near or far depending on where you set up camp. There are 600 acres on this property, mostly beautiful meadows and scenic vistas. CAMPING: Reservation tent camping only. Reservations must be made thru your local Girl Scout council... otherwise the main gate to the property will be locked. AMENITIES: Fresh, cold running water at each campsite. Bathrooms. Picnic tables and private, cold water showers. There are outdoor structures for holding open air events or having a small meeting. Propane cooking only - charcoal use given on an individual, weather-permitting basis by the on site Ranger Mark. There is a sheltered fire pit available for campfire use. *Bring your own food* BUGS: They run amok. None of our spray on pesticides worked! Dangit. Crane flies are EVERYWHERE! (they even snuck inside our cars and came home with us). Crane flies look like mosquitos so wear your running shoes. Spiders constantly freefall from the trees - watch what you're putting into your mouth. Pincher bugs and the catepillars were annoying as well. Red ants are running this joint and even though they don't bite - they're scary as all get out because they're bigger than me! CELL PHONE SERVICE: At the time of this posting, AT&T, TMobile, Sprint/Nextel, Boost, Verizon, Metro PCS and any other crap carrier you might have, DID NOT WORK at this campsite. Sorry. RANGER MARK: He's a hottie. And very knowledgeable about the area. He gives hikes daily and lives on site. *BTW, there are a few other residences tucked away on site so hooting and hollering is ill advised after 22:30. MISC: It is extremely dry and dusty out here. I think it would be better to camp down the mountain at Lake Elsinore. SUMMARY: Loved our camp activities and enjoyed getting away from the world but too many bugs ruined my fun. MY ADVICE: Prepare for the worst and hope for the best... this place is 100% rustic living.

She spoke to the difficulty fighting against corporations who want to build tall buildings to block coastal views and develop land without regard for the once thriving and unique ecosystem that once made up our entire coastline. Two biologists let us on a tour of the area. They both shared interesting information about both the plants, the birds we saw, the history of the site. One interesting tidbit is regarding the mule fat trees, which caused mules (back in the day) to get bloated as it isn't digestible. They have monthly excursions for as much as a donation. When we tried to protest, they called us kooks and told us to go back to Riverside. Luckily, we came on a powder day and got some great turns in. I'd advise avalanche gear if you plan on going off the groomers, the snow is pretty deep. Parking is expensive if you don't own a Rivian. Will probably stick to Mountain High next time.

Jesse was a phenomenal host. Made a wonderful seafood pasta and ALWAYS had stainless steel pitchers of cold water readily available. We both slept completely comfortable and had privacy in our cabin. The peaceful morning was a great opportunity for reading on the bow of the boat. If we lived closer, this would be a regular excursion for us. Even though we live thousands of miles away in GA, we will definitely be back to sail with Jesse and Catamaran Excursions. Thank you Jesse for a wonderful adventure.

He had a ton of cool stories and information as well. We saw a pack of dolphins a couple different times and he had them swimming with the boat for a good while! Jesse even provided us water, fruit, wind breakers, and a phone holder to take pictures. Overall, Jesse was very generous with his time and accommodated us with our needs.
