1st Class Moving and Storage was fantastic. They fit us in when we really needed some help moving into our new house, and they were pretty easy to communicate with via phone and email. The only reason I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that they were scheduled to arrive at 9am and came at 8am instead, when we weren't ready for them and were caught off guard (basically in our pajamas!). The manager did call to let us know they were calling early, but we missed that call because it was before we were up for the day. All that said, the guys did a great job, were accommodating, pleasant, and careful with our stuff. I would recommend this company. read more

We purchased a sofa through an online retailer, who used First Class for their furniture delivery needs. From the beginning it was an absolute headache. We received a call stating our delivery was scheduled for a weekday between 2-4pm. However, we were told by the retailer that we'd be able to schedule our delivery, but First Class told us this was not their policy. Okay, an inconvenience but we needed to have it delivered during a certain time or on a Friday since we both work over an hour from home. The customer service woman told us she would reach out to the appropriate department and get back to us about a special delivery. Days went by without hearing from them. We reached out numerous times via phone then email before finally getting an answer that we would have a Friday delivery. Once delivered, it was discovered after they had forgotten a back cushion. We contacted them to no avail. It took another 2 days to hear back before finally getting an answer that it would be delivered on their next visit to this area, but they didn't know when that would be. We reponded back asking to just have it left at the back door, but heard nothing. It took opening a claim against them with the furniture retailer to finally get an answer that it was coming on a Sunday. We just got home to the cushion at the wrong door. While it ultimately isn't a big deal, it just displays the lack of communication with this company. We would highly recommend NOT using First Class for any moving or delivery needs. They were extremely unreliable, and their communication was extremely subpar. We are happy with the sofa we received, but that falls on the retailer for their product and not the delivery process getting it to us. We will avoid them at all costs and we suggest you do the same. read more

Ok so I hired these guys years ago, 2013, but I was referring my boyfriend to them and realized how few reviews they had and decided I should get on that. Obviously if I was referring, I liked them. Honestly they were on time, fast, all that. There was one catch, which was on the day of the move despite my having given a complete list of items, the truck was too small. This resulted in the having to go back. I did not care, until I went to pay and they charged me for another trip. I really felt that wasn't my fault. But... I didn't argue and paid it. Having said that, it was still the best money I've ever spent outside my cruise to the Bahamas. read more

I am extremely disappointed in your services. My date to move was Nov 9th, I had to be OUT of my apartment that day to avoid additional charges. You guys called me extremely last minute on the 8th to tell me that my move date was the 10th. After expressing my concerns no one helped or got back to me so I was unsure of when I was actually moving. I get a call ON the 9th at 10am saying that my move date is now the 11th. I again expressed my concerns and no one gave me a time. You then called back and said 4pm on the 11th which is a Sunday meaning that with a 4 hours drive to Jersey the unloading process would have been done on the dark and probably overnight. I felt like I did not get the help I needed at all and now had to pay the additional days rent for my move being delayed. I would not recommend your services to anyone. First Class Moving and storage was scheduled to deliver furniture to our home today between the hours of 3-5pm, with a phone call 30 minutes before the expected time of arrival. It was to be white glove delivery service, which I paid for. A female employee of their company called me at our home to set up this time. They chose the time, not me. Following this phone call, I received an email from this company confirming the delivery date and time, and carefully detailing what we should expect with our white glove delivery. Our item would arrive either factory boxed or blanket wrapped. A crew of two men would move our furniture into our home, carefully unpack it, and place it where we requested it to be placed. Their crew would complete any necessary assembly, and remove all picking materials. We would be given an opportunity to inspect the piece for defects and damage before signing paperwork to document the delivery. The email assured us we would receive First Class Service from First Class Moving and storage. So this is what actually happened. We never received any phone call at anytime regarding their expected arrival. Twice in the afternoon I called the company to ask where my deliver was, no one answered the phone, so I had to leave messages. We had to cancel our very special plans for the evening to wait for delivery. At 7:59 pm , 3-5 hours after the scheduled delivery time, and with no advance notice, a First Class Moving and Storage truck pulled into our driveway. My husband went outside to greet the crew just in time to take photos of their truck as it drove away down the street having quickly dumped our furniture in our driveway. No, we did not get white glove delivery, more like dump and run delivery. No it was not first class, more like NO CLASS! We did not receive or sign any paperwork for our purchase, nor do we have any idea of the condition it is in. It was left in a box in the driveway just as it was starting to rain. As senior citizens, we are not capable of moving this furniture ourselves, or even unpacking it. It weighs several hundred pounds. We were able to move the box into our garage, out of the rain, where it will sit until this issue is resolved. Forget what you read on their website, this company is the worst bar none! read more

Terrible company. I shouldn't have to bend over backwards to try to book an appointment. You should be fighting for customers, not having customers emailing and trying to call and then never calling them back when you say you will. Company can't even tell you their own availability. Can't say enough good about this company. We had unusual moving needs - we needed just the kitchen, artwork and lamps packed, we needed the goods to arrive a good week after the truck was loaded, and we had half of the items going to another town to a storage facility. Even with these issues the quote came in a LOT less than the two other moving companies we worked with. They were on time, tireless, pleasant and personable. They arrived with the goods a few hours later than I would have liked but things were out and assembled in no time. They even put up with our quirkiness when it came to filling our room at the storage facility. Would use them again, would highly recommend. read more
